Hello all!
A bit ago my laptop broke down, and while this was a nonissue originally, I recently realised that as it had some custom adjustments made by someone no longer in my life, the repair cost is way out of range, and the better option is to buy a new one.
All of my transcripts for the future chapters are on that computer and I have no clue if I left them in a space easily transferable, so there is a chance I have lost all my work.
One of the things that broke is the charging port, and being old, the computer drains its own battery even closed, so after 3 days it was dead, therefore I have no way to check on or move files.
Simply put, because of all this I am currently unable to update either piece in this series.
While I could technically write the future chapters all over again, I’m not exactly willing to rewrite all of those transcripts when there may be no need, simply because they are incredibly draining to work on and I feel no love for that part of this story.
And doing it on mobile feels like it would be incredibly painful, so that’s just not even going to work.

I will edit and add onto this update in future when there are developments, such as if the transcripts are safe or not.
Edit - 9/5/24:
Good news is I managed to find a way to check on the files via mobile, and can confirm most of the transcripts are safe. Haven’t been able to find some, but I’m hopeful that it won’t be an issue.
Regarding acquiring a new computer, the earliest I can do so appears to be July.
