Chapter Text

Violet led Ontari to sit at a bench that just appeared. Ontari felt like a little kid again. “So, I found a way to escape Nia. For both of us. I drafted plans…” Violet started.

“And Nia found them,” Ontari finished softly.

Violet nodded, still carrying the same grace from over a decade ago. “So she killed me,” Violet ended.

Ontari felt her hands shake, “She made me bury you.” Violet was Ontari’s unbiological sister, Nia had raised them together, with Violet 6 years older than Ontari. Before she died.

“I know,” Violet had tears forming too, “We would have been so happy away from her…”

Violet reached out a hand to grasp Ontari’s, but she pulled away. “I’m not… that same 10-year-old. I’ve killed so many people. My wife hates me,” Ontari’s voice shook with her words.

“Raven doesn’t hate you. She loves you, little sister,” Violet smiled, “And she is missing you as we speak.”

“How do you know?”

“The same way I know the last stop of you finding yourself is finding your brother.”

Ontari sobbed freely at that point. She fell into Violet’s arms. “How many years?”

Violet answered, “15 years. I’ve been waiting… Look, there isn’t much time left, so I have to ask you for a favor.” Violet pulled away.

Anything.” Ontari watched as beautiful purple violets started falling from the sky.

Violet spoke faster, “When you visit your brother, please go find my mother. You know what to tell her.”

Ontari nodded as the flowers started surrounding Violet. “What’s happening?”

“We’re out of time…” Violet gave a sad smile.

“Wait! Will I ever see you again?” Ontari asked, tears sliding down again.

“Maybe. But it’s unlikely, you know that. Don’t worry, I’ll always be with you, little sister.” Violet started disappearing.

“I love you…” Ontari wept.

When Ontari woke up, Roan was standing over her, his eyes searching her face. “You okay?”

“I’m fine,” Ontari answered, feeling a headache coming up.

“You passed out for a bit,” Roan informed her.

“It helped. This helped. Thank you.” Ontari brushed away the tears still on her face.

“I’m going to assume you’re leaving now?”

“Yes. To my brother’s.”

Roan nodded, “Best of luck to your travels.” As Ontari walked into her room she turned back to Roan, “You’re a good person.”

Roan grinned, “Thanks.”

“Aden!” Clarke knocked on her son’s door. “Come down to breakfast!” when there was no answer, she sighed, “Look, I know you’re still upset about not being able to spend time with us, but we’re trying, okay?” Little did she know, the room was empty, and Aden was gone.

Clarke gave up and went down to breakfast where Lexa was sitting with their friends. Lexa frowned, “Where’s Aden?”

“He won’t come out,” Clarke told her. Lexa sighed.

Raven looked between the two of them, wishing her marriage with the love of her life was still intact. She fed her baby son Dylan, kissing him softly on the head. It didn’t help that he looked so much like Ontari. His eyes resembled her wife.

Lincoln spoke up then, “Octavia, you can’t eat that, you’re pregnant.”

“Oh right.” Octavia immediately put down the unpasteurized cheese. She groaned, a hand on her belly, “Can’t wait for them to get out.”

Raven scoffed, “I know what you mean.”

Octavia smiled, but she was worried about how Raven was holding up since her wife left. She couldn’t understand how Ontari just left and abandoned Raven with a six month old baby.

“Lexa!” Clarke said in an alarmed tone.

Lexa had unknowingly picked up the unpasteurized cheese. She was pregnant too. Clarke grabbed it from her and gave her a look.

Lincoln squinted at Lexa, “Are you pregnant??”

Raven and Octavia’s jaw both dropped. “WHAT?” Octavia squealed.

Clarke looked at Lexa and Lexa nodded. “She is,” Clarke smiled widely.

“Wait, how many weeks?” Raven asked, bouncing Dylan on her hip. She was so excited for another new addition to their family.

“16 weeks. Today, actually.” Lexa realised. Clarke smiled at Lexa, her happiness obvious on her face.

“I can't believe you guys didn’t guess sooner. Both Aden and Hazel know.” Lexa said, smiling a little.

“Speaking of which, we should go find Aden.”

Octavia nodded, “Well, I’m due in a week, and I literally don’t understand how you can do this twice, Lexa.”

Lexa laughed as Clarke took her hand and helped her up. Once they were alone, Clarke asked, “You okay?”

Lexa nodded, “I’ve just been… this time around is…exhausting to say the least.”

Clarke nodded, “And your back hurts?”

“I…yes. I didn’t think it would start hurting this early.” Lexa placed a hand on her small bump.

Clarke frowned, “My mom warned me to make sure you’re not too stressed, she’s worried about pre-eclampsia.”

Lexa tilted her head, “Well, that’s going to be hard to do, given that I’m Heda.”

Clarke wrapped an arm around her wife, “You know I’m happy to do anything for you.”

Lexa leaned against Clarke and whispered, “The other leaders expect me, Klark.”

Clarke knocked on Aden’s door as they arrived in front of his room. “Aden! You need to eat something.”

Lexa spoke up, “Aden? Darling I know you’re mad, but you have to eat something.”

Clarke opened the door, “Aden?”

Lexa, assuming the worst, immediately started looking around for any evidence her son was taken. “Klark?” Lexa stared at the paper in horror. I love you.

Clarke ran to Lexa’s side and froze after seeing the paper.

“He left. He ran away.” Lexa whispered. “Because of me.”

No.” Clarke snapped. “No. I should have– Should have spent more time. I…”

Lexa didn’t waste any time, “Guards! Why did you leave your post?” Her voice thundered.

The guards cowered, “Heda, Aden told us we were needed elsewhere and for us to go. He said you commanded it.”

"I did no such thing.”

“We are sorry, Heda.”

“When was this?” Lexa stood tall, her gaze locked into her guards.

“Last night, around midnight.”

Lexa ran to her room, with Clarke on her heels. She pulled out a map, “He could have only gone this far,” Lexa traced the perimeters.

Clarke grabbed a weapon, “I’ll go look for him.”

“I'm going too.”

Clarke grabbed Lexa’s hand, “You can’t. You can’t ride.” She placed their joined hands on Lexa’s bump.

“What am I supposed to do then?”

“I’ll find him. I promise.” Clarke kissed Lexa on the lips.

Lexa told Clarke, “Be careful. Please.”

Carke nodded before racing out the door.
