Chapter Text
-Bakugou
The sun dances on the blade as I stare at the metal I roll my selves up before stopping myself.
What will happen to me?
Do I care? Another voice in my head intrudes.
I shrug off my blazer and sit crossed on the floor.
I turn my wrist over and grip the blade the not sharp part digging into my skin with the amount of force I’m putting on it.
I feel pain. But will I bleed?
I’m not hurting myself I’m testing my limits.
That’s all.
I take a shaky deep breath as I stare at my door. It’s locked no one can just walk in but for some strange and Maybe for a slightly selfish reason i hope someone does.
I look back down to my pale white skin and begin pressing the blade onto my wrist with force.
I let it sit there for a moment. Feeling the cold metal and pressure. It hurts but I have a high tolerance.
One I’ve built up over years.
I begin dragging in a messy ridged line and watch as a liquid pours out from where I sliced.
The cut its self is slim and thin but it’s deep.
For a second after the initial bite it feels numb again as if I didn’t just do that.
Well it was numb but now it burns.
And stings like a poured sanitizer on it.
Then the sludge becomes thicker and hotter.
I drop the blade and grab my wrist. It hurts!
It’s stings like I got bitten my a thousand fire ants there!
I FEEL PAIN!
I writhe in pain on the floor attempting to be as silent as possible.
I try not to cry but the fire is so hot and the pain is so much!
It shouldn’t hurt like this! This doesn’t usually happen!
I’m not this weak…
Right?
The sludge falls from my eyes.
Im not supposed to be this weak…
I sob silently and alone when i decide to wipe my eyes because the physical pain is gone.
Still I sob softly as I attempt to wipe my face from the sludge and I stare at my blurry arm.
Fully healed as if I never did anything.
I breathe a sigh of relief finally calming down enough to breathe normally.
Or as normally as a dead person can.
Suddenly the room get cold as a claw at my arm.
And as I turn my gaze up I see the mirror on the wall become foggy and then words appear.
There’s no ghost in my room?
The words the spear make my heart drop.
“SELF HARM IS NOT ALLOWED. FIRST WARNING.”
…
That weird thing when I died? Could it be him or her or whatever it was?
I frown deeply and collapse on my bed before falling asleep in the freezing cold room.
The mirror still dripping with condensation
From every word spelt on its cold hard surface.
(K ALL DONE NO MORE SH)
-
I open my eyes and slowly get up.
I look at the time.
(7:30)
Am?
Holy shit I’m late!
I run through the wall and into the hallway before racing downstairs missing a few steps as I race down.
Shit shit shit shit shit
School starts at 8:00!
It takes 30 minuets to get there subway and it’s a 5 minute walk to the station and then another 10 to the school!
If I wasn’t dead I imagine my heart would be racing
I check my arm for any traces nothing
Not one person would ever know.
A slowly walk towards the classroom door and I check my watch 15 minuets late.
Fuck.
I slide the door open and take my seat not making eye contact with the teacher.
A thought pops in my head about the other week.
Sensei now just in crutches and a few bandages. Had seen my bruise.
The only evidence I died.
That and my body in the woods.
Hm my body. I wonder if it’s decomposed slightly?
Definitely not fully.
Perhaps my skin has fallen off in chunks. Mabye maggots have started growing and eating away at my flesh
Are my eyes still in my skull? Or did they fall out?
And-
I get pulled out of my thoughts when Aziwa calls my name.
“Bakugou? Pay attention.”
I look up rolling my eyes scoffing.
“Whatever old man.”
I listen to ilda yap about being rude and I just smirk.
It slowly disappears as the energy to put on a front slides away from me.
“Now as you know exams are coming up. And it’s important that you all are prepared.
This exam contained a physical and a written part.
You’ll find out the physical day of or something idc.
Those who pass will go on the training trip in a few weeks those who fail will stay back here at school. And work.”
Murmurs arise in the class but I just stare out the window not finding the energy to say something cocky.
But I don’t worry I’ll pass. I have to pass.
And I will pass with top marks.
