Will jumped. He thought this place was empty. He turned his head and saw- Oh. It was Nico. Standing in the bushes like a weirdo. Why is this guy everywhere?
“Oh uhhh. Hey Nico! What’s up?”
Nico walked out of the bushes and up to Will.
“Oh you know just the regular. I didn’t expect to see you here. Do you live around here?”
Will was about to say no but then he remembered he actually did live around here and just nodded.
“Well uh what are you doing at the park?”Nico asked, trying to keep the conversation.
“I was just on a walk and stumbled here so I thought I’d hang out. Better question, what were you doing in the bushes..?”
Nico unexpectedly flushed at the question.
“Oh you know. Same as you, just… hanging out.”
“Okay… But in the bushes?”
“Yes.”
“Oh.
Will blinked at the abrupt and sudden answer and Nico stared at him wide-eyed.
“Okay… Well I have to get going because I need to unpack.”
“Okay bye.”
Will watched as Nico turned around and booked it back to the bushes. Or well he tried but tripped flat on his face half way there then scrambled to get up and disappeared. He couldn’t believe that just happened.
“That’s new.” He muttered.
When Will got home the movers were already putting stuff into the house. He sucked in a breath through his teeth and slipped inside. He knew he’d probably get chewed out for being out so long but if no one noticed him walking into his room he could just pretend he had came home forever ago and was taking a nap or something. Right as he opened his bedroom door his sister spotted him.
“WILL! Oh my god. We’re practically done with moving and you didn’t even help.” Kayla smirked. “I’m telling mommm.”
“What are you talking about? I just woke up.” He lied, badly.
“Mhm, sure. Anyways you better start helping now or I really will snitch. I don’t want to do it all by myself.”
Everything was finally where it was supposed to be. For the most part, there were still some boxes here and there (especially in Will’s room) but they’re just getting here it’s fine.
Will flipped down onto his newly moved bed and sighed into his pillow. He peeped his eyes out from the pillow and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He raised his eyebrows when he saw a text message from Nico. He opened the notification.
Nico: Hey, what’s up?

Will giggled at his professionalism when texting then he realized it’d been two hours and Will never saw the text.
Will: Heyyy! Sorry I didn’t reply… I was unpacking… Nothing much what’s up with you?
Nico saw the text almost immediately.
Nico: Oh cool. I’ve just been hanging out with my sister.
Will had completely forgotten about Bianca and smiled at the distant memory of her.
Will: Oh cool! Tell her I said hi!
Nico: Okay.
Will snorted and closed his text messages right as his mom called him for dinner.
