EG!Thor goes back in time using the Pym Particles to retrieve the Aether but gets separated from rocket midway and ends up in Thor (2011) era instead.
If there was one thing Thor wished to do to change his future, it would be.. well, there were many things. But, man is selfish. And a God is only so far away from such things.
