Leslie makes another dying whale noise. “I thought it was Sole… like the bottoms of trainers and Mates… like friends.” He offers vaguely. “People who enjoy sport and are friends.”
Rebecca rolls her eyes but manages to bite back calling Leslie an idiot, only because of Ted’s influence. Instead she straightens her back and takes on her ‘boss’ tone. “Well, obviously you’re going to have to cancel our appearance as Ted and I are not a couple.”

“A date?” Keeley suggested. “Preferably tonight, before the photos have circulated for too long. Just Ted and I. If we just make it out like there wasn’t ever any shady secretkeeping, and that we’re just two previous colleagues, who’ve decided to be more than that, then they won’t have much of a story.”
