Summary
Brock Rumlow fucked up, bad. As punishment he is reassigned to a new role; handler for one of the Assets. The Assets are little more than machines, shells of men that react only to command words and pain, he is told.
Being a handler is little more than a slow death sentence, Brock knows that. Being a handler to the Winter Soldier is a somewhat quicker sentence. The Soldier goes through his handlers swiftly and if Brock is going to survive this assignment, and he intends to survive it, then he needs to do this differently.

Summary
After being exposed as a double agent, Brock Rumlow becomes the most wanted man on two sides of a war he helped build.
SHIELD wants him captured.
Hydra wants him dead.Hunted across safe houses, cities, and forests, he is pushed to the edge of survival — starving, sleepless, and slowly coming apart under the weight of constant pursuit.
But something else is moving through Hydra’s ranks.
Handlers are disappearing. Officers are being found butchered beyond recognition.
The Winter Soldier is cleaning house.
With nowhere left to run, Brock makes a final, desperate choice.
He asks the monster hunting Hydra to spare him.
