Lovecraft hummed, neck twisting a little too far in Poe’s direction. He heard a quiet crunch, like the bones (or cartilage, or whatever Lovecraft’s body was made of) were protesting against the effort.
“It’s true,” Lovecraft responded. “We Great Old Ones… We may grant any mortal’s desire, so long as they agree to a contract.”
“And what exactly does this contract entail?”After learning about Lovecraft's inhuman identity, Poe approaches him in the hope of making a deal. In the end, he gets far more than he bargained for.
