Summary
Edwin had not forgotten how ten years ago Charles had asked to see his notebook. He had been horribly kind when he had refused – kinder than Edwin suspected he deserved. He had, in fact, simply… shrugged and moved on, never to pester him about it again.
“Charles.” Edwin’s voice rang through their office space. “I have been thinking.”
“What else is new?” Charles idly played with a rolled-up wrapper from his place on the couch. He was slung across several cushions, and Edwin could not countenance how it might be comfortable.
“I have been thinking,” Edwin continued, “that I would like to show you some of my notes.”
