He will not have you sacrificing your own well being for his pleasure, as it makes your blood taste worse anyway. Astarion decides that he will forcibly take care of you and make you rest until you get better.

Red. That’s all it ever was in the temple. Maroon, vermillion, scarlet. Pools of crimson to bathe in beneath hanging, dripping bodies. Marbled statues were like hunks of gamey meat, gargoyles of viscera. All totems to Bhaal. Father.
Durge thinks that with how much bloodshed he’s spilled, that he too could be a god. The worshippers of the temple certainly treat him as such.
Well, all but you. He supposes that if you were anyone else, he would have flayed you alive and feasted on your quivering innards, but you weren’t just anyone else. Perhaps it was your brutality, maybe it was because you had the gall to try to dominate, that intrigued him. He could have just been bored. Regardless of the why, he had you now.
Or rather, you had him.

Astarion’s confession scene hits a little different this time around.

“It’s gotta hurt so it can heal.”Written in first person. This is shaping up to be an “Insert Your Own Tav” adventure. The only physical description of Tav in 69 chapters is “shorter than Astarion”.
Any smut is plot relevant.
Dead Dove is not in effect until Chapter 69.
My headcanon is that this is a female Tav hence the tag.

The Wizard in question spluttered, whilst you outright snorted. “Intending to buy me, are you? Want to sell my scales for a decent profit?”
“Well, up till now, I’ve only been window shopping, but if there’s a possibility for more, I’d like to ask after it rather than miss out.”
You laughed again at the suggestiveness, but left the question hanging, heat lacing the nape of your neck despite your cold-blooded nature.

"I'm sorry." Her voice was soft and sincere. "I recon a lot of people have lost someone today."
That was probably true. He didn't really care. What right did they have to complain when Storm had given up his life and no one would ever know? "The city still stands, though."
"Hm. It's a good thing there are still idiots willing to risk their lives for the sake of everybody. Couldn't be me."
He couldn't help but laugh again, somewhat bitterly. It would have never been him either, without Tav, or the looming threat of ceremorphosis.Series
