Dazai ends up in a coma after his most serious suicide attempt yet. He has left three letters, one of them being for Chuuya.
Sitting at the bedside of his comatose body, Chuuya tries to understand.

Dazai is falling. In the orange glow of sunrise, the waves of his hair are fanning around him, and his dark eyes are wide with fear and shock, his hand outstretched towards Chuuya. His bandages are unravelling all around him in the wind.
Chuuya is not even thinking anymore. All he can see is that hand reaching for him as he launches off against the balustrade and falls after him.
He uses his ability to make himself heavier, his own drop faster, his hand reaching for Dazai right back.
It's only when he catches Dazai in his arms, holding his head tight against his own shoulder and trying to fly back up that he remembers; this won't work.
He must have been really out of his mind to have forgotten it at all.

"At my own hands, yes! Such a tragedy, they were all so torn up. Especially Atsushi-kun, such a hardworking kid, very responsible and eager to fulfill his duties. You could learn something from Atsushi-kun, Chuuya."
No honorific?
"Why are you here?", he sighed.
"My name is Osamu Dazai," the ghost said. His pale eyes seemed to gleam in the sunshine and, if Chuuya focused, he could see the city skyline through him. "And I want you to bring me back to life, of course."

Chuuya has worked as a necromancer for a couple years now. He's only really had easy cases surrounding easy ghosts with easy pasts, easy to locate and easy to put to rest.
His new case is anything but.

He reaches the end of the pathway, stopping in his tracks when he's met with a painfully familiar sight; Chuuya, knees pulled to his chest and head lulled to the side, sitting beneath a tall, withering oak tree that's long lost its leaves in the depths of winter. He’s sitting parallel to five tombstones, the only ones in the whole graveyard that seem untouched by time. There's no cracks, no broken edges, no overgrown plants and nothing covering the names etched into each stone.

He nods in the direction of the person he's talking about, and they all glance over with the perfect synchronization of a group that loves drama and is often shittalking somebody else.
There's a lone kid, down by the water. They're dressed in a white button up with faint blue stripes, dark brown combat trousers tied to their waist with a large belt. Short, messily cut brown hair flutters around their face in the breeze, making it so that Chuuya can't see their face.
