Rumor started floating all around Japan that Izuku MIdoriya was the son of All For One. There was no way to disprove or prove it, Hisashi Midoriya allegedly died years ago and even if there was proof the citizens would believe it was faked because they have already swallowed the bait. For the public, Izuku Midoriya was son of the most infamous villain in the world.
That was a big problem to say the least. Society's trust in the heroes dwindled not to mention Izuku’s reputation. They needed to do something fast in UA had an idea people already thought that all might was Izuku’s father so why not capitalize on that? People loved all Might with all their heart, they had similar quirks, similar mannerism, and big messy hair.
If you need to improvise a story in front of live television, there is nothing better to do but to consult a professional bullshitter. Enter Stan Pines. Stan’s quirk, Con Artist, allowed him to create convincing stories on the fly. Stan owed Toshinori a favor and thus he became the lead writer of the fake story.
“So, you met 20 years ago in Cleveland, Ohio. You got married but you kept the relationship a secret because of you being a pro hero and not wanting All For One to attack your wife. When she got pregnant you knew you had to separate to keep the risk minimal,” Stan instructed, “After your injury event the few years to make sure all for one was dead and then you started training Izuku and because you are his father that's why sometimes students see you going to have lunch with him.”
And that's how Inko and Toshinori found themselves in a TV studio dressed in the best outfits (coordinated of course), sitting in front of the interviewer Shiggy W. Moustache. Shiggy was a new reporter, the previous one disappeared under mysterious circumstances but thankfully they managed to find a placement in time. No threatening involved whatsoever.
After the long and gruesome interview Toshinori and Inko were completely spent. They coudn’t wait to get home and shower, maybe cuddle a little bit (what? The having romantic feelings to each other part wasn’t a lie, they just changed the timeline a little bit (a lot)). But then the unthinkable happened.
“I don’t believe you.”
Well fuck. That didn’t go according to plan. Shiggy and his glorious totally not fake moustache were sceptic of their story. Shit. Toshinori began to panic. But Inko, on the other hand, had a plan.
Inko grabbed Toshinori’s tie, pulled it towards her, and smashed their lips together for a slightly not appropriate amount of time.
“How about now?” Inko said, releasing the tie of a very flustered Toshinori. “He still gets flustered, just like in our first kiss.”
Shiggy silently fumed, but he knew he had lost. He finished the interview respectfully and bid the couple goodbye, because he was a respectable man of his craft and not at all Tomura Shigaraki with a fake moustache.
After arriving back, Toshinori broke the silence, “This was my first kiss.”
Inko looked at him, shock and disbelief in her eyes. She took the Symbol pf Peace’s first kiss. By surprise. On live television. The person she was in love with. Without asking him beforehand.
She screamed.
“WHAT?!”
