Work Text:
Edgar sighed as he gently leaned Luca against a wall near the edge of the map.
Luca winced in pain a little.
He had taken a pretty bad hit by the Hunter.
The painter crouched down to his level before he began to mend his wounds.
“You need to stop being so reckless.” Edgar huffed.
“I’m sorry,” Luca sighed.
“I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.”
“Eddie, you sound like my Mom.”
Edgar looked up and glared at him.
“Say that again and I’ll leave you here to die.”
“Ok ok!”
He turned his attention back to the injuries on his friend's body.
As he continued to patch him up, Luca couldn't help but stare at him fondly.
He looked really cute when he was focused.
No matter how cold he could seem, it was clear that he had a big heart and truly cared for the people who were close to him.
And Luca might have had a small crush on him.
He would never admit it out loud though.
“Why are you staring at me?”
Luca snapped out of his daydream to see Edgar staring at him questioningly.
“Oh-uh-it’s because you’re cute-wait-I mean-um-I-”
“You’re such an idiot.”
Suddenly, Edgar leaned forward and planted a light kiss on Luca’s lips.
The prisoner felt his heart skip a beat.
When Edgar pulled away, his face was completely red.
It was his turn to be flustered and embarrassed.
“I-uh-”
A goofy grin spread across Luca’s face as he felt his cheeks heat up.
“I’m such an idiot!” Edgar exclaimed as he slapped his face before getting up and bolting away with his head in his hands, leaving Luca dumbfounded yet happy.
