Sensory-Overload is a Fucking Nightmare

Summary:

The feeling of winning a fight on someone else’s terms was no-where near as bad as the feeling of being chained for the world to see.

Bakugou can attest to that

I can’t think of a good title

Notes:

Like period cramps and depression, sensory overload is hard to describe unless your having it while your writing/reading/telling about it.
I tried my best to remember the general feeling of it, but it’s also another thing that is different for everyone.

Anyway, happy Valentine’s Day, enjoy Bakugou suffering.
(Side note: happy year-iversary to my Stuck Together fic!)

Work Text:

      He wanted them off.

He wanted to be free of them, of the feeling they brought.

      He needed them off.

The metal seemed to dig into his skin, it felt like it was ripping away layers upon layers of skin and muscle, scraping away at his bones. The all-around feeling of them made his skin crawl and burn. In fact, everything on him made him want to puke from the feeling. His uniform, the fucking Safe For Work, bdsm-rip-off things he did was forced in, even the block of concrete we was tied to, everything made his blood boil! Even the feeling of people near him and all the sounds flooding his ears made him want to run away and hide. For the third time in his life he was scared.

He couldn’t stand it, he wanted the itching, slimy, scaley, indescribable and incorrigible feeling to subside. He wanted it all to leave him alone!

Being practically bound and gagged reminded him more of that fucking sludge bastard than he’d like. He couldn’t breathe in it, couldn’t move his hands, couldn’t focus on anything but the notion of being forcibly held back, and he couldn’t see well. All he could think of was the overwhelming presence of murky liquid that didn’t belong. He felt like he was drowning.

His chest rose and fell quickly as he fought against the chains, his heart beating too quick for someone who was just forced asleep a few minutes earlier. Just let… him… go!

Couldn’t they see what was happening?

His mind was beginning to blank, his heart was blocking his throat, he choked on every breath. The world his eyes showed didn’t seem real… it felt more like an overly-realistic set prop, his palms were clammy, fingers stiff and restless, his stomach was doing twisted loops.

He was chained for the world to see and praise. His growls barely got through the muzzle they forced him in, and the clamps over his hands just made it all the more worse.

His three main ways of defense were out of commission, how the hell was he supposed to feel in control? There was nothing making him feel safe, nothing that brought stability to him while he was paraded around as the winner.

Couldn’t they see what was going on?

He could feel all their eyes on him, judging, questioning, fearing his every move. He didn’t want this. This was going overboard, anyone with working eyes and half a brain could see that. It wasn’t like if he was let loose he would kill anyone that didn’t deserve it, but they thought him to be so much trouble that they had to chain him up and force his mouth shut!

His mind was circling, he couldn’t tell up from down, or right from left. His ears were ringing, throat was parched, and his stomach was clenched tight. It was unbearably off.

He wanted the feeling to stop!

...He just wanted it to stop.
