Summary:

How I think the wedding went in @youreyestheyglow's fic Blame it on my Youth. You don't need to have read it for this to make sense but it's an amazing fic so you should check it out anyway.

Chapter Text

Allison and Nicky had taken over anything wedding-related the second they had found out Neil and Andrew were engaged. Neil had worried things would spiral out of control, forcing them to elope. Which, though not an unpleasant thought, would mean the team would be unable to attend. What Neil had failed to consider was they knew Andrew and Neil well.

Nicky was still loud and easily excitable, but he had stopped crowding Andrew to express himself. It didn't upset him when he got too close, and one of them told him to fuck off. Now Nicky thought things through and had figured out better ways to show Andrew he cared.

Allison was still bold and unapologetic, but gradually she had stopped calling Andrew "Monster" and had started calling him a wide range of other nicknames. Including but not limited to Goalie, Thing Two, and Neil's Boyfriend. (Which she used depended on whether or not Andrew could hurl exy balls at her any time soon.)

Andrew and Neil were the last to arrive at the courthouse; the others had left earlier to get ready. Aaron and Matt greeted the two.

"Apparently, we have been appointed 'head representatives of the co-people of honour'," Andrew quirked an eyebrow at Aaron's statement.

"Actually, according to Allison Aaron is the 'head representative of the co-people of honour' I am the 'head representative of the co-best people'" Matt explained. "I'm standing behind Neil with Dan, Aaron is standing behind you with Nicky,"

When the four entered the room, it became clear that the "set up" meant fancy clothes and Allison ordering people to stand in different places.

Even if Allison hadn't been in their line of sight, the clicking of her heels would have given away her approach. "Good, your fiance has dressed you,"

Neil made a noise of objection. "I can dress myself just fine,"

Allison and Andrew responded in unison.

"No, you can't,"

"Not possible,"

Nicky arrived beside them just as Allison asked, "Have they told you who's doing what?" she gestured vaguely in Aaron's direction and

"They told us about what they're doing," Neil replied.

"And who they're doing it with?"

Neil nodded.

"Wymack, Abby and Bee are co-best people of honour," Nicky's statement earned a questioning look from Andrew. "It's because they're everyone's parents, and it would be a crime against humanity to make them pick a side. A crime!" Nicky's voice got louder as he spoke. "Allison says ring bearers are usually children, so that's what we made Kevin. Don't worry though, we're not actually expecting you to give him the rings. Renee is the flower girl, but I think that's just an excuse for Allison to give her flowers,"

"Of course it is," Allison interjected. "Only the best for my woman,"

Things proceeded quickly after that. Most of the group crowded near Andrew and Neil. Only Katelyn, Allison (because she was  so 'terribly tired from all the planning'  and  'shopping is hard work Neil' ),  and Wymack, Abby and Bee  ( because "we're too old to be standing around" ) were seated nearby.

Andrew rolled his eyes when Allison handed Renee a bouquet of flowers. Neil knew he would never admit it, but his lips formed an almost smile when Allison told her to twirl towards the officiant before Neil and Andrew could walk down.

The ceremony passed in a blur; Neil unable to think of anything other than Andrew.

"You may now kiss,"

The brush of lips couldn't really be considered a kiss; Neil was too busy smiling.

"Junkie, 257%." Andrew mumbled against his mouth. Neil didn't stop smiling.

Andrew's Pov will be in part two.
