It was the end of a hot afternoon in Paris, they were in the middle of summer so all days were a bit sunny, this afternoon could be just like many others,but that doesn't mean days like this are boring or ordinary, not for them, for them all days passed with peace and calmness should be special.So there they were laying lazily on the couch at Maya's flat,she was in sit position and Lola was laying in her lap. Just moments ago they were talking,mostly about photpgraphy,but now, Maya would stare at a sleeping Lola.After some months together (after Lola's rehab) she noticed her girlfriend was into naps especially at the end of afternoons. So she she would gaze into her peaceful features, it was a relief for Maya be able to look to Lola and see only this calm lovely face,not concern or sadness as she used to times ago. After this time together she would also notice that Lola was far more emotional and caring than she showed,she still struggled to talk about her feelings clearly,but was easy to see how happy she would become whenever Maya showed her a little bit of afection,and she actually did it a lot,like when she carried Lola hugging her at bad days,or the way she never looked ashemed of her,even after her mistakes, Maya would always talk about her with pride in her voice, or at times like this,where she just caress Lola's hair softly and treat her as the most precious thing ever. Lola liked to be taken care of,to feel safe with someone,and unfortunatly she couldn't have this for a long time in her life,but now she does. Maya used to think a lot about it,like when they talked about the day Lola ran away,it wasn't a good memory for sure,but was one both of then would never forget. Maya was still looking at Lola asleep on her lap,that pretty face she had fell in love for, and eventually, loved completly,t hat was what she felt while looking at her girlfriend,she was even prettier smiling and it wasn't hard to make her smile now,Lola would smile when they cooked together,when they slept together,when she took photos, or simply when she saw Maya smilling too. After some time like this,just observing Lola sleep,her girlfriend started to move on her lap,slowly opening her eyes she said softly:
-Hi
-Hello sleepy head! - Maya answred mentioning to move her hand away from Lola's head,but the younger girl held her wrist there making her giggle.
- Can we stay here a bit more - She asked in a calm tone.
So Maya started again carressing kindly her hair and Lola smiled cheerfuly looking into Maya's eyes,with peace and adoration,to the girl who saved her somehow,and who keeps saving everyday,she sat to kiss her girl passionatly feeling everything at once,and knowing Maya felt everything just the same amount as she did.
