“Finally, it’s the day” Said the boy with the red ribbon.
There was a clear blue sky painting up above the boy, the wind was blowing.
“It’s perfect .“ The boy said, he tightens his grip on the railing in front of him. He was about to take off his shoes when he noticed just a couple steps away from him another boy wearing a white shirt facing away from him also ready to take off his shoes.
“Seems someone else got here before me.” He didn’t understand what the honorable first jade of lan doing in here. In the empty rooftop at 5 pm even more.
"Hey!" A scream rips itself out of the boy's throat. "Don't do it! Please!"He didn’t even know why he is screaming his body move by itself.
Whoa, wait a minute what did I just say? I couldn't care less either way. To be honest, I was somewhat pissed this was an opportunity missed
Putting on his best smile he asked the boy in white “Why?”
Like a deer caught in a headlight, with those swollen red eyes and the dried lips the boy in white also tried to fake a smile even though he looks like he's struggling with it.
“None of that, just tell me why?”
The boy in white just watching him for a while and then "You've probably heard it all before, I really thought that I could trust him. But then in the end only betrayer I got.”
For God's sakes, please! Are you serious? I just can't believe. That for some stupid reason you got here before. Are you upset 'cause you can't have what you wanted? You're lucky that you've never gotten robbed of anything!
The boy shaking in rage, trying so hard to keep his smile. Then he put his hands on the boy in white shoulders “Listen that shouldn't be your reason, he is not worth it. Don’t let him win, you know the real him take it as a learning journey. You will find many people who still care for you and cry for you. " The boy’s voice is shaking, he panicked for a bit, he thought maybe he only make it worse.
After a moment of silence, the boy in white looks him in the eyes then give him a sincere smile. "I'm feeling better thank you for listening!" The boy in white then disappeared.
After the boy in white disappeared he only can sighed and tying his shoe again and left the rooftop.
“Okay, maybe not yesterday but today is the day.” The boy with the red ribbon climbed the stair to the rooftop, there he saw another boy in the railing. His eyes widen in horror then he bangs the door and screamed "Hey! Don't do it! Please!"
The boy in the purple shirt also looks shocked by him. “ What are you doing in here?”
“Jiang Cheng, don’t do it please!”. The red ribbon boy can only say with a trembling voice. “Why ?”
The boy in purple refused to look him in the eye. The red ribbon boy cupped his face so he would face him. “Please tell me why,” Plead the boy with a red ribbon.
“ You probably know it, everyone is better than me, everyone is ignoring me, no one cares about me.” The boy in purple turns his body away and lets the tears fall down.
For God's sakes, please! Are you serious? I just can't believe . That for some stupid reason you got here before me
Because every reason is stupid if it takes his brother away. His brother deserves to live, and happy everything else is stupid. Then the boy in red ribbon hug the purple boy form behind and said “Cause even so, you're still loved by everyone at home! There's always dinner waiting at the table, you know. “ He turned his brother around so now they are eyes to eyes. “Listen, Madam Yu love you with all of her heart, Uncle Jiang loves you and just want you to be his greatest legacy because you are” . The part “not like me who is nobody, replaceable, expendable” left unsaid.
They didn’t move for a long time, and the the boy in purple shirt just sighed and hit the boy with red ribbon in the arms. “ Fine! Let’s go home, i’m hungry!” “Okay,” The boy in red ribbon gives his best fake smile and follow the purple boy from behind.
And like that, there was someone every day,he listened to their tale, he made them turn away. And yet there was no one who would do this for me. No way he could let out all this pain anyway
“Please be the day.” The boy with the red ribbon opened his eyes while opening the door, and yet there he saw another boy already in there. “Why they are so fast!” The boy mumbled in frustration. He scanned the other boy, and for the first time, he saw someone like him. The other boy just stands there, with dead emotionless eyes. The way he looks, the expression he wears mirrors the boy’s own. He can see the white bandages peeking out of his black shirt, he feels like looking at his own self in the mirror.
"I just wanna stop the scars that grow every time that I go home, that’s why I came up here instead”
“Wait!” The red ribbon boy screamed.
Whoa, wait a minute what did i just say?I couldn't care less either way. But in the moment i just screamed Something that I did not believe
"Hey! Don't do it, please.” He tried to reach the others boy only to be turned away.
“Why? I don’t deserve to live anyway, everyone hates me.” The other boy just looks even more sorrowful than before. He just looking at the sky with an empty gaze
Agh- what to do!? i can't stop this boy, oh this is new! For once i think he has bitten off more than i can chew.
The boy with a red ribbon wanted to console him, told him the pain will go away, the scars will fade away, but he couldn't find a voice within him to say all of that. The other boy still not looking at him. He panicked, he could not stop him, he collapses into tears.
“But even so, please just go away so I can't see. Your pitiful expression is just too much for me!.” The boy finding himself pleading to the other boy. The other boy just look at him with an unreadable expression.
"I guess today is just not my day” He looked away from the red ribbon boy and then he disappeared.
The red ribbon boy didn’t go to the rooftop for the next 2 days, on the third day he wished it’s going to be the day. Upon reaching the rooftop, he finally could see it empty, no one is there.
“Finally, i can’t do this anymore, i’m tired.” He took off his shoes, and grip the railing looking down where not many people having fun with their friends.
“I guess it's time, it's just me, myself, and I. There's no one who can interfere, no one to get in my way here” He smiled, his body leaning forward. It’ll all end soon. Then he heard
“Wei ying, don’t do it please!”.
