"If i ever said those three words to you, it would be a lie"
It's just the two of them there right now but Hearing those words comes out from his mouth literally brokes her heart into pieces.She didn't expect to hear those words in the middle of our crisis.
"So u-uhm" she said. "What do you m-mean?" she can't even respond to his words because there's a lot of things roaming around her head.
"Detective, you know that I don't lie right?" he said, but still can't look at my eyes. It feels like he's avoiding something.
"Yes but what do you mean about that? You didn’t love me from the beginning? That all of your actions are just an act?" she said. She can't understand what he meant about that.She started to slowly backing up a few steps.
"What? Detective, of course I want you but there's a lot of things going around us and when i said those three words to you there will be no turning back" he explain to her but still his explanations isn't enough yet. He reached for her but she backed away.His voice is so soft now and his beautiful brown eyes look like he is hurting.
She is just overthinking the situation. Chloe knows that he loves her since the first day they met. His actions show that he loves her, he died for her 3 times. That means more than the word 'I love you' but still her heart broke after hearing those words.
"Right. Okay Lucifer, if you mind giving me some time to process the words that you said but I know that you always love me right?" he nodded. '' Of course detective, I'm so sorry that those words come out. I hope that you will forgive me, darling" he sighed and looked into her eyes. He willing to lower his walls for her because if he won't do that he could lose chloe. The love of his life.
"Yes I forgive you '' Chloe said and she walked back up to him and she hugged him. "Thank you, my love. I'm so lucky to have you as my girlfriend" he hugged back and he doesn't want to let her go.
"And I'm so lucky to have you as my boyfriend, you big devil" she said while biting her lip trying not to laugh. She breaks the hug and she puts her hands in his cheeks.
"My other devil is big also, you want to see?" Lucifer said while putting his hands on her waist. Chloe rolled her eyes but still smiling at him.
"Come on, let's go to your penthouse. Trixie's with dan today so we are going to enjoy our weekend together" she kissed him and he kissed her back passionately.
They started walking while holding each other's hands.
Even though there's a lot of things going around them. At the end of the day they're going to be okay and understand each other.Being together is all that matters to them.Lucifer believed that one day he will be able to tell her I love you and Chloe is willing to wait for it.
