Chapter Text
From the moment he was born, Yuuji only had one purpose: to find Sukuna's fingers and resurrect the curse.
The boy at first refused, understanding too young that that would mean death for him. But in the end, being this one of the last requests of his grandfather, he could not refuse.
Although he did not wait for a black-haired guy to show up later at his house to try to take the cursed object. "Give it to me, it's dangerous."
The teenager in front of him had introduced himself as a Jujutsu high school student, if he remembers correctly, it is just these kinds of people that he has to avoid. "I don't know what you're talking about, what cursed object?" Of course, he knew what he was referring to, in fact, it was right now on his kitchen table, half unwrapped.
The black-haired man, somewhat desperate, showed an image of that box that kept his finger inside. "Oh, I remember, I saw a classmate with it, we were trying to remove the paper that wraps it, maybe by accident I took the box."
"What? Have I just been chasing the trail of the box? " He whispered more to himself. "Who has it?" Without much thought, he said a random name of one of his classmates.
“But I don't know where he lives, tomorrow he said he would bring it back and we would try again. If you want it so much, could you come to school tomorrow for him? " He listened as the sorcerer clicked his tongue, surely pissed off.
"Well, thanks for telling me and sorry for the inconvenience." And with that, it disappeared.
With a sigh of relief, he closed the door, automatically returning to the kitchen, going back to his job of removing the seal. Once it was unstuck, he made a disgusted face. "Am I supposed to eat this?" Somewhat hesitantly, he put the finger in his mouth and swallowed quickly, noticing a bitter taste immediately along with the pain his throat suffered from swallowing it directly.
Then, he noticed how his body stopped responding to his commands and moved on its own. He imagined that this is something that would happen, but did not imagine that right after the first one.
And almost as if it were his decision, he regained control. "What?"
Who are you, brat? He heard a voice, causing him to move his head to look around the room. There was no one, had Sukuna spoken to him then?
"Uh, Itadori Yuuji, your vessel." That's what it was, right? He thinks he remembers that that was what his grandfather said.
Mh, interesting. It was all response he got. Without much else to do, he went to bed. Tomorrow his career as a sorcerer would begin.
.
.
.
Yuuji dodged Megumi's attack, throwing a punch at the raven in response.
Your cursed energy control sucks, brat. The King of Curses laughed.
“Could you help out? The sooner we get out of here, the sooner we can go for the next finger. " He screamed in the middle of the fight, blocking a kick from Fushiguro and leaping the next second, seeing one of the dogs running towards him.
Without seeing it, he knew that the curse had rolled his eyes, but even so, the change took place, leaving Itadori uncontrolled, who now simply stared in boredom at the fight that had clearly ended the same instant it began.
Or so it would have been, if Sukuna hadn’t noticed a great presence behind him. "Brat, I hate to say this, but I think we should go."
What? Why?
"I notice someone approaching, he's clearly stronger than me right now."
Yuuji snorted, someone stronger than Sukuna? Well, we have the finger, so it doesn't matter.
His words were enough to mobilize the curse out of the fight, quickly walking away before switching back to the teenager.
"Ouch, my back hurts ... he hit pretty hard, huh?" He stretched, listening to the crunch of his bones.
Let's get further, then I'll take care of healing you. Yuuji nodded, starting to walk through the crowd, camouflaging himself.
Once he was far enough away, more specifically, in the forest, he sat up, leaning his back against a tree trunk.
Then, he could feel the pain and discomfort of his bones repositioning himself, was something really broken? Damn sorcerers.
Better? Sukuna scoffed.
"Yeah, thank you." And with that, he fell into unconsciousness, appearing in the Curse's Domain.
"You did well, brat, but you have to improve your cursed energy control." The King came down from his throne of bones, approaching the teenager, ruffling the hairs on his head.
Itadori groaned. "We've been practicing that for weeks."
"Yes, and you have improved a lot, just a little more." And with that said, they began to fight. “You have to take advantage of your brute strength and agility, focus the energy in your limbs, it will not only harm humans, but other curses. Keep it at the same intensity, don't release too much or too little, mold it as if it was clay. " Yuuji tried to follow his directions, striking after blow and fleeing the counterattack of the curse.
They were like this for hours before Sukuna stopped, receiving a hit from the teenager, who was unable to stop in time. "Sorry." He said, approaching the King.
He received a bad look from the curse, who only grunted. “Sorcerers are getting closer. We have to go back to the city. "
And with those words, he was thrown out of unconsciousness, snapping back to reality.
Somewhat dizzy, he got up and ran back, knowing that the idea was to camouflage himself among the humans. Your cursed energy is helping them locate you, try to relax and hide it.
"I don't think this is a good time to calm down." He grumbled, also noticing the people approaching him.
I'll give you a hand this time, brat, be grateful. Yuuji smiled, nodding.
"Thank you, Suku." And although he thought the King would say something to him for the nickname, that didn't happen, which only made him smile more.
When his time came, he would have no regrets. He would just… miss this. I'm not going to let you disappear, kid.
And with that silent promise, he kept running.
