Amelia sat down with a bowl of cereal and a newspaper she snagged from her recent trip to the late 1920s. She was just getting into some opinion pieces that hinted at the start of the Great Depression when she heard the front door open.
"I'm home~" she heard her roommate Ina call, setting down groceries and catching her breath.
"Welcome back! I thought you were going to be late for your stream. Need me to put those groceries away so you can get that started?"
"Yes please! You're a lifesaver Ame, I owe you one."
"What happened anyway? I thought you left with more than enough time, and you look like you ran the whole way back."
"I met a cute fan at the store. Very loud. Very energetic. It was hard to end the conversation, though." Ina finished getting her shoes off and hung up her jacket, then started toward her room.
"Ha ha, for such a chill streamer you sure do have some lively fans, Ina."
"I'm pretty sure she was dead, actually. See you after my stream!" Ina squeezed in as she closed her door, cutting off the conversation.
"...What?"
