"You're not allowed to leave me," Mikey says, after hours of watching Takemichi flit around their condo, and Takemichi doesn't even look disturbed. The way too accepting man just smiles over at him from where he's now sitting next to him on the couch, and says with exasperated fondness, "I know."
Then he resumes reading the manga he's holding.
Mikey starts to feel peeved when he realizes Takemichi isn't taking him seriously. "I mean it," he darkly says, "I'm going to lock you up in my room, and chain you to my bed, and make you my very own pet." He waits for the defiant look, or a shudder of disgust, anything.
"Mikey, is that what you want?" Takemichi asks quietly, his eyes peering up at him, no hint of judgment in his eyes, only plain curiosity. The manga is laid down beside him, seemingly forgotten as he turns to Mikey with his full attention. It makes Mikey feel strange things, the dark impulse growing but instead of wanting to hurt Takemichi he wants to own him completely.
He wants to collar him, too, to make the world know that Hanagaki Takemichi is his.
He'll have to commission a jeweled collar made specially for Takemichi's pretty neck, to line up with all the other marks Mikey leaves behind. He files that idea away for later as he stares at Takemichi, almost greedily and again he wonders what exactly about him is compelling to the other man. No one has this amount of patience, no one will sacrifice all of their future for one person, right?
It's hard to take in at first.
Because he never knew it was possible until he met Takemichi. The boy who was desperate to save others, willing to put his life on the line for someone else. What's to say he isn't staying with Mikey because of his savior complex? He wants to protect Mikey while protecting others, and succumbing to Mikey's selfishness might have been the only option available to do both those things.
It's what makes him feel desperate and greedy, to take whatever Takemichi is offering like a starving man. Mercilessly, impulsively, he reaches out, and pulls Takemichi in, and the man makes a surprised sound when he's suddenly dragged into Mikey's lap. But otherwise he's pliant, letting Mikey do what he wants while automatically adjusting himself for comfort, his arms wrapped around Mikey's neck for balance as he settles back on Mikey's thighs. The weight is comfortable and Mikey would keep him like this forever if he could, never out of sight and always close to him.
"You'd let me," Mikey states huskily with slight wonderment that never fails to be present whenever he's with Takemichi, because he just never ceases to amaze him. He can already tell that Takemichi won't refuse him.
He has yet to refuse him anything.
Takemichi's cheeks are adorably stained red, as he whispers, "I wouldn't mind it, but only because it's you."
Mikey's hands tighten around that thin waist in response, and a sharp inhuman sound is torn from his throat before he smashes his lips hungrily against Takemichi's. His already weak restraint crumbles to dust at the glorious words that tug at his heart as it pokes at the skulking beast inside of him, bringing out a feral possessiveness that makes his surroundings fade away, until Takemichi becomes the focal point.
He feels like he's soaring and at the same time drowning.
He swallows all of the beautiful sounds Takemichi makes, from needy whimpers to deep, guttural moans until their lips are sore and swollen and saliva is dripping down their chins, but even so he can't keep his hands off of Takemichi.
"W-wait, Mikey," Takemichi's breath hitches when Mikey's hand slides down to his ass, gripping the rounded flesh firmly.
"Are you finally saying no?" Mikey asks nonchalantly, contrary to the rousing beast inside of him. The impulse that almost overrides his sanity by telling him to take what belongs to him rages within, while a whisper of what little good conscience he has left berates him for treating Takemichi like he's something to be owned.
But he said he wouldn't mind it, because it's me, he argues with himself; still he stops.
The heated moment becomes tense, and Mikey feels guilty. "Takemitchy," he says softly, squeezing the man's waist apologetically, burrowing his face in the man's chest, wishing he could simply enjoy this.
"What will it take for you to hate me?" He wants to know.
"Why?" Takemichi asks, voice small. "Do you want me to hate you?" His hand starts carding through Mikey's hair gently, still willing to generously touch Mikey.
"It'd be easier," Mikey says honestly, but deep down he knows he still wouldn't let Takemichi go either way.
"I love you," Takemichi says in response to that, as easily as breathing. "I don't want to hate you, and even if you spit on me I'll still love you."
Mikey's heart lurches in his chest, his eyes widening at the confession.
It makes sense.
He should have known yet he doubted it. Suddenly, he's floating on cloud nine, blinded by euphoria while crushed by a flood of relief that Takemichi is staying because he genuinely wants to.
"Hey," Takemichi says, breaking the spell, "we really need to move though, because you're crushing the manga I borrowed from Chifuyu."
Mikey can't help it. He stares at Takemichi's flushed face, his eyes bright and wide blown with his glistening kissed swollen lips pouting.
Takemichi is ridiculously cute.
He surges forward and kisses him, while reaching back with one hand to slide the manga out of the way, so that his lover's priority is only to focus on him; and Takemichi squeaks out a protest at the treatment of Chifuyu's manga before he starts moaning distractedly.
He starts thinking about getting a different kind of significant jewelry for Takemichi to wear to show that he's already taken.
The collar will just stay between them, because he really might end up blowing out someone's brains if they see that sweet, beautiful vision, which only belongs to him.
