The idol industry is so cut-throat, I can’t believe it sometimes. Anyone who was around back then could tell you that Ban was the one who pushed Yuki out of the way, and there’s no way Yuki would’ve debuted as Re:Vale with someone else if there was a chance of Ban coming back. The real scoop is that according to someone I know who used to work at that venue said that Yuki and Ban were approached by some creepy producer who wanted them to sign with him and got really aggressive about it. Showing up unannounced, “you’ll regret this someday”, the whole deal. If you ask me, he’s the one who disappeared Ban from the hospital to try to trap Yuki.

Idk why all these idol fans are so against thinking their fave could ever do anything wrong and tie themselves in knots to find someone else to blame. There’s literally a genre of murder fiction dedicated to jealous rivals…

Does anyone know who this producer is? Are they still around? How do you even know they’d have the power to get someone out of a hospital without records? The easier explanation is just that it was an accident and Yuki covered it up so he could have a career later and it wouldn’t follow him like is happening now

Really? You can find any back-alley doctor, and you’re worried about bribes and integrity? Obviously there’s records of Ban’s entrance but no exit, so someone paid it off either way, dead or alive.

The integrity of doctors is sacred! They hadn’t even debuted yet, how would they have enough money!! My bet is that the producer killed him in his sleep and paid off the morgue.

The way Re:Vale never talks about how they got together really makes sense now. Does anyone know if Momo was at that show? Or was on the scene at the time?

No way. You’d have to be some sort of psycho to go on and work with someone who injured or disappeared your previous partner, and Yuki’s way too chill for that

I know this is high-level conspiracy theory but I would <i>swear</i> that I saw Ban picking up a set of lunches at the stall near my station the other day. I know, I know, how do you tell, six years later and all that, but I swear it was him!

;A; no pics, but his hair color is so distinct and more than that, his smile!!! Re:Vale only had a tiny amount of fans at that point, so those of us who knew Ban <i>know</i> his smile and it was him!!! Even in a dime-a-dozen salaryman suit, I’d know him anywhere!

Okay, I’m in this boat with you — I saw this crossposted on the idol boards so I assume we all know i7 in here, and while their manager is super cute and definitely not Ban, I called their agency’s offices once (for work, I swear!), and the guy who picked up had <i>the exact same voice</i> as Ban. Think about it — he couldn’t work in the industry any more for fear of hurting his beloved partner more, so he went into isolation but couldn’t bear to leave music, so found work for a small agency to support other upcoming idols!!! What a good man!!!
