Work Text:
It seems the new double oh is either an idiot or hasn't had much experience as an agent. He also has no idea about the "not official" rules in MI6 because he gets closer to Bond while he's shooting in the training room.
"Do you need anything?" He asks, irritated. He leaves the gun on the table and frowns at the newcomer.
It seems the man has no idea he's not wanted because he gets closer and gives Bond a friendly smile.
"I want to know more about our Quartermaster."
007 tries not to growl, the new agent definitely has no idea what's going on there otherwise he wouldn't have asked about Q. Bond is a possessive man and even though Q still scolds and hisses at him every time he sees him, Bond has decided he's going to have him.
Permanently.
"What about him?" He asks, trying not to bare his teeth at the other man.
"Is he single?"
Bond decides, right then and there that he definitely hates the new double oh.
"He's taken," he lies so easily, after all he's an excellent agent (he'd say he's the best even though M doesn't want to admit it). "Be careful because his boyfriend is very possessive."
The new agent looks at him with curiosity; there must be something feral in his eyes, because the other nods and gets away from Bond in the blink of an eye.

The next time he's in Q-branch Bond almost feels like he's being watched by... everyone. Q looks up from his computer (which is definitely weird, normally it takes more than that to get his attention) and glares at him.
"Why are you telling everyone I'm taken?" Q hisses, definitely not at all pleased.
"I'm trying to help you get rid of unwanted attention," Bond smirks, trying to use his charm, however, the frown upon Q's face doesn't vanish.
"I think that's for me to decide," the Quartermaster says, pinching the bridge of his nose before sighing. "Anyway, I'm busy. Just stop spreading false information about me."
"Maybe we can make it real... What about dinner?"
Q stops what he's doing to blink at him a couple of times.
"We're both single and we're–"
"We're not compatible," Q blurts out immediately, prompting Bond to narrow his eyes.
"Who says that?"
"I do," Q mumbles.
"You're wrong," 007 smiles again, this time with all his teeth. He sees the hesitation in Q's eyes. That's all he needs. "Let me prove you we're perfect for each other. We'll fit so beautifully, you and I..."
He whispers the last sentence in Q's ear, making him shiver.
Yes, he's convinced since they met that they're perfect for each other.
"I don't think it'd be wise for me to start a relationship with a double oh," Q insists, not entirely sure about what he's saying. He's blushing.
"I'll change your mind," Bond insists, before kissing Q's hand in front of the whole Q-branch.
Oh, he's going to have his Quartermaster all to himself very soon.
