[Panel 1] 
After the fall of the Republic, PADME Amidala-Skywalker has gone into hiding with young children on Tatooine. Meanwhile, DARTH VADER is hunting down surviving Jedi. Following a lead on his old master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Vader goes to Tatooine. When Vader sees Padme, he takes her back to his ship and is unaware of who was left behind.

After witnessing their mother's abduction, LUKE and LEIA Skywalker set off to save her . . .
