"I don't believe you," Caitlin fought her tears as she glared at the man in the blue suit.
"It is true, Miss O'Shannessy," the self-important bureaucrat said haughtily. "Your friends went down while filming a commercial over the Sonora Desert. That leaves you as the only person able to return Airwolf."
"I don't know anything about that," Caitlin whispered, the tears coursing down her cheeks. She backed away from him, racing up the stairs to her apartment.
"Shhh," a familiar voice whispered as hard hands pulled her into a firm chest. String held her close, murmuring, "They lied. We're alive."
