If you don’t play genshin (although even if you do pls read this because there would be something I’m adding to the universe), here’s a rough summary/info you’ll need
Genshin Impact happens in the continent of Teyvat which is composed of 7 major nations each ruled by an archon(basically gods of one of the 7 elements) of an element.
The elements of genshin are:
Pyro - fire
Hydro- water
Geo - rocks/crystals
Dendro - plants (although as of the time I was writing this there are no characters that wield dendro so we don’t really know much about it)
Cryo - ice
Electro - lightning/electricity
Anemo - wind
The nations are:
Mondstadt: Ruled by Barbatos (Anemo Archon & God of Freedom), based off of Germany and also ruled by the Knights of Favonius
Liyue: Ruled by Rex Lapix/Morax (Geo Archon & God of Contracts), based off of China and also ruled by the Liyue Qixing
Inazuma: Ruled by Raiden Shogun/Baal (Electro Archon & God of Eternity), based off of Japan and has three ruling clans
Sumeru: Ruled by Dendro Archon (also God of Wisdom, we don’t know their name yet), based off somewhere like India or Egypt
Fontaine: Ruled by Hydro Archon (also God of Justice), based off of France, also ruled by the Court of Fontaine
Natlan: Ruled by Murata (Pyro Archon & God of War), based off of somewhere like Mexico or Spain
Snezhnaya: Ruled by The Tsaritsa (Cryo Archon & God of Love), based off of somewhere snowy (people are speculating Russia) and also ruled by the organization under the Tsaritsa called the Fatui
I’ll be making Inazuma also Korea in this story for the convenience of it!
Sumeru will also be Thailand and Natlan will also be Malaysia (I need to have a place for You Zhangjing and Huang Shuhao to be from)
Some other definitions: THIS WILL BE UPDATED AS I GO AND I'LL ADD NEW DEFINITIONS IN THE NOTES OF A CHAPTER IF THEY APPEAR SO YOU DONT HAVE TO KEEP CHECKING HERE
Visions: Orb like things gifted to humans by the archons which grant them the elemental power of the element of the archon
Adventurer’s Guild: An organization for adventurers across Teyvat
Hilichurls: Basic enemies that resemble humans and have ranks like basic hilichurls, samachurls, mitachurl and lawachurl
Slimes: Basic enemies that are purely elemental in the form of blobs
Treasure Hoarders: Basic enemies that are an Teyvat-wide organization of thieves
Abyss Order: an organization from a place called "The Abyss" that include enemies like Abyss Mages, Abyss Lectors, Abyss Heralds... etc
Adepti: Ageless beings granted powers from the geo archon and watches over Liyue
I’ll be updating this as I go but I hope I’ll explain everything well enough in the story itself! The characters of Genshin also wield one of the following weapons, sword, claymore (basically a large and heavy sword), catalyst (a spell book or an orb), a bow, and a polearm/spear so the characters in this story will do too. This story will have references to a traveller who travelled across the nation of Teyvat who’s the main character of the actual game Genshin.
It is currently impossible in game to have a double vision but since I can’t decide on a vision for Yixing let’s say that you can.
This takes place roughly 1000 years after the current setting in the game.
The Yuehua boys' visions (since they appear first in the story and I might forget to mention what elements they are):

Wenjun: Dendro
Xinchun: Hydro
Zeren: Pyro
Chengcheng: Cryo
Quanzhe: Electro

Guyun Stone Forest: an island off the shore of mainland Liyue in game so that’s gonna be Taiwan in this fic
Chapter 4:
Liyue Harbour: City of commerce, sort of like the capital of Liyue
Havaria: God of Salt, a more benevolent and peaceful god than most but was slaughtered by her own people during the Archon War for being too weak
Moonchase: Liyuean festival based off of Mid-Autumn Festival in China
Lantern Rite: Liyuean festival based off of Lantern Festival/Lunar New Year
Mt. Tianheng: a mountain at the North-west side of Liyue Harbour

Naganohara Fireworks: fireworks shop in Inazuma owned by Yoimiya’s family
Yuehai Pavillion: headquarters for the Liyue Qixing
Bubu Pharmacy: pharmacy near Yuehai Pavillion and has a herbalist that’s a zombie child named Qiqi

Milileth: guards/army of Liyue
Chapter 7:
Allogenes: Fancy word for vision holders (canonically not a common used term, and only used by gods, but I'll be using it in this story)
