"Team Building" Exercise

Summary:

Strauss is reviewing the team again and Hotch is assigned a bunch of five year olds. Another crackfic to the series is all I have left to say.

Work Text:

Hotch put his head in his hands and sighed. Fucking wonderful. Strauss was, again, questioning the team's strength. This time each other's trust. Well now the team was pissed. Fortunately they didn't turn against each other long. A small argument had taken place, again, it didn't last. Now the team was stuck on a godawful training  training course. "Rock climbing?!" Reid and Garcia yelled almost at the same time. Hotch sighed again, "Yes you two. That's why I told you to dress in outdoor clothes. Now follow me." With that, Hotch began walking towards a small building. The rest followed, albeit hesitantly.

Soon, all too soon, they were geared up and standing before an instructor. Most listened. Penelope and Spence hung on to every word for dear life. Then they were standing in front of a wall, a very tall wall. Seen as these were supposed adults, the instructor left the team alone. The way this team exercise worked is that all the members were connected by a harness and rope. You had to trust one another not to fall, or to catch you if you did. This did ensure that the group went slow, or at least a moderate speed. Morgan, of course, went as fast as possible. (No Derek slow down.) Emily was also following Morgan's lead. Reid ended up acting like a ragdoll.

Rossi, bless his heart, was exempt. Either 1, Erin made him exempt, or 2, he's old. Both seemed plausible. Morgan then took this moment to complain. "C'mon guys, hurry up!" Reid and Garcia grumbled, as did Emily. The twink yelled back, " Not all of us are as athletic as you Morgan!" Morgan had no reply. Hotch also had no response but this was because he minded his own business. JJ just said 'no' to this and Hotch let her. That was enough said. At the end of this they al felt the same about each other, though maybe not Reid.
