AMITY PARK: ONLY TRUE EXPERIENCES PLEASE
This community is for those who have been to Amity Park and have been terrified for their lives. Either you can tell your tale, talk about your experiences, and make connections with others who have been scared by this town. Anyone with a fake story will be taken down and kicked from the group, no bullying, harassment, racial slurs, or homophobic language, please. Amity Park is NOT an arg, stop asking.

Ok, so I’ll start this thread off with my own story. I went to Amity Park with a few of my girlfriends because we’re supernatural nuts; I mean my first toy was an ouija board kind of nuts. We went there as a group with cameras and spirit boxes and boards. The whole shebang.
Then we get there, and the hotels are trash. We kind of expected it, but this one that we went to was deserted. Literally dead, Sasha rings the bell and someone pops up from under the front desk like a jack in the box from hell, grinning. They ask if we wanted to stay there that night, that the graves were still warm? I was thinking this place was going hard on it’s gimmick but Natalie looked terrified.
Sasha asks if we could see the room before we agree to anything, and the guy leads us down the hallway before someone walks out of one of the rooms.
It was this white-haired kid- like completely white. He had these creepy dead green eyes and he looked at the guy leading us and shook his head.
Then he said the scariest thing, “You may want to leave before you end up dead. This place has been defunct since like the 1970s.”
I swear I almost pissed myself because in the next second the kid had taken the worker we followed by the collar and began to drag him down the hall.
The guy then said, “You always ruin my fun Phantom.”
We left. I think we went to the next town over to go to bed, and when we woke up Sasha said she wouldn’t step foot near Amity again. So we went somewhere else to ghost hunt. But I think we met a ghost that day, and I’m fairly sure he was planning on doing something to us.
AndyBlack101: Was it Motel 6 on Baker Street?
Ghoulboss: Yeah, how did you know?
AndyBlack101: I’m like 110% sure that the guy you saw was murdered when the place shut down.
FakePhan: That sounds so fake.

BigBitchBlue: Did anyone else get approached by a black-haired kid? About 5’3, probably a teenager, black-hair, blue eyes, kinda looked dead?
AmeliatheRockstar: Did he start telling you about the town? Or like… that the motels would lock you out?
BigBitchBlue: YEAH THAT. The kid came up and told me to leave town if I was smart. Said it was too dangerous for outsiders.
RainieDaze: God yeah. I remember him, Amelia and I were shooting for Unsolved Americana and caught it on tape, but any footage with him in it was full of static. Kinda freaky to be honest. Don’t think he blinked.
SandDaddy: God yeah, he was so creepy. Do you think someone set him up for it?
StaceysDadImDownSoBad: No tbh, I think maybe he just likes fucking with tourists? I mean he told me to keep away from Fifth Street because some ghost had just got thrown into a car.
SandDaddy: Was anyone able to get a picture of the guy?
AmeliatheRockstar: Naw, we only shot footage. It’d be weird to have pictures of a random teenager tbh.
BigBitchBlue: Listen I tried after he started saying weird shit, but any picture with him is blurry.
FlowerPowerSux: Did he not introduce himself to anyone? Cuz I remember him saying his name was Danny.
FakePhanBack: Isn’t he like? The son of the Fenton’s or something? That’s why he does this, to get his parent’s business. They sell ghost gadgets. He’s just a weirdo who likes freaking people out.

FakePhanBack: They’re all fake! This is literally not possible scientifically! Ghosts aren’t real.

WHO IS PHANTOM?
SpookyScarySsss: I did some research while in that town, and let me tell you it is all wild. They have rules posted outside of their town hall- most of which are fucking horrifying to think about. But I really think that we should talk about Phantom.
Phantom is supposedly the town legend, they all say that he helps people. That he’s the ghost of a kid who got murdered by the things in their cornfields- or a child of abuse. None of them have the same story to be honest, which makes it a little hard to keep track of. Still. Their town hero is actually someone I see mentioned here on this forum a lot.
I saw at least seven people who mentioned a white-haired kid with green eyes in their stories, but don’t mention him by name. I think that their town hero may actually be real.
Thoughts?
(MOD) ELVIRAMISTRESSOFREDDIT: That’s actually kinda spooky. When I went there I met the white-haired kid, and he seemed so alive. It was kind of weird because he had this air around him.
SuperFunFU: Yeah when I went into the town library there were actually a few other things about this Phantom guy. There was like a memorial for him?

TrueCrimeCarry: You haven’t even mentioned the cults. There are a few about Phantom actually. I met with one of the leaders to see if I could get an interview and let me tell you they are actually nuts.
Tintinkinnie: The more I learn about Amity Park the more I think that it cannot be real.
SuperFunFU: I was the same way, but I can tell you man that that place is either actually haunted and full of scary cryptids, or they are so deep in their gimmick that not even god could get them out.

A comprehensive list of the ghosts spotted in Amity Park
- Technus: The technology ghost. Seems to be spotted during the day while at places with lots of electronics.
- Skulker: one of the more dangerous ghosts, is seen hunting rare things and makes a lot of threats about skinning. Has a flaming green mohawk.
- Lunch Lady: This ghost is seen at the local school, people are always very nice to her, and she seems fairly docile. Looks like a typical lunch lady but blue and see-through.
- Ember: Rockstar ghost with fiery hair. Said to play a mean guitar solo.

SkepticalPerseptical: So there’s this forum spreading around about a town in Illinois called Amity Park. To be honest I wouldn’t really have thought about it until this thread came up. It’s said to be the most haunted place in America. So of course I’m skeptical.
After reading a bunch of these so-called stories in the forum about ghosts, and town rules, and scary things in the cornfields, and even a cryptid superhero, I can firmly say that this is either a tourist stunt or one of the best ARG’s I’ve ever witnessed. Because come on, who would ever believe that this place has ghosts that don’t even apply to ghost physics?
They really need to put an unreality tag on their things, because acting like this is real could be dangerous to people with depersonalization issues.
Astronerd90: Dude you can’t say a whole town is an ARG.
SkepticalPerseptical: Then please show me where it is on google maps because I certainly cannot find it. The only thing that pulls up on google is a few videos that are almost certainly fake. I mean really, a guide to speaking with the recently dead? Commercials for ghost guns? “How to dispose of Ectoplasm safely.” I mean really the immersion was amazing but some of this is just too hard to believe.
Astronerd90: I can’t magically make you believe that Amity is real but you have to find it on a regular map. Google Maps won’t come near the place since their cameras screw up because of the radiation.

Astronerd90: Oh whoops. Yeah, the place is crawling with radiation, but none of it’s actually very dangerous to humans unless ingested. Then it’ll burn through your stomach like acid and eat through you from the inside. Not the most fun experience.

WEIRD THINGS ABOUT AMITY EXCLUDING THE GHOSTS

The more I learn about Amity the freakier it gets. So here is a list of things wrong with this place. Excluding the ghosts.
- There is a special kind of radioactive substance that is only found near this town, it’s the same color as uranium, but only dangerous if ingested.
- There are LITERALLY SECRET GOVERNMENT AGENTS? Yes, they’re tied to the ghosts but it’s still weird to have the government hone in on one tiny town in Illinois.
- The Fentons. Enough said. The parents are crazy, their son’s a cryptid, and their daughter psychoanalyzed me within five seconds. Scary.
- THEIR MAYOR ISN’T EVEN FROM THERE? HE’S A BILLIONAIRE FROM WISCONSIN. What the fuck dude?
- Amity park can’t be found on any electronic map, and if you put in an address from the town it’ll take you to a completely different state. I tried to follow my google maps and ended up in ARIZONA.
- There are supposedly creatures in the corn. (I don’t really believe this one but with everything else it could very well be true.)
- THERE ARE MUTATED ANIMALS LIVING IN THE WOODS (this is true I have a few pictures: deer, freakyowl, uhohiwannagohome)
- Regular electronics have stopped working in this town. They have to make their own!
