It's rude to run away

Summary:

Oh, how Seungkwan wishes he could whack Mingyu.

Work Text:

Seungkwan can't express how much he wants to go out and strangle his friends to death fucking assholes because if it's not that one game, he wouldn't have lost and agreed to go inside a spooky abandoned mansion all alone.

It has been said that the mansion was abandoned for more than a century. To his surprise, it still looks good and royal a fuck. If someone wants to live here, they just have to clean, furnish a few things, throw away the broken chairs and tables, then finish it with those expensive paints. All in all, this place might be the closest version of paradise.

However, the tales of this old mansion are the exact opposite that Seungkwan doesn't want to think of at this moment.

He rubbed the side of his arms in hopes to get some warmth from it because the chilly atmosphere inside the mansion was colder than he had expected it to be. Seungkwan stared at his watch, and knowing that he probably has half an hour to finish this, he grumbled quietly to himself.

Suddenly, Seungkwan sensed an ominous presence looming over him with a feeling of being watched, he gulped and looked around to make sure if that was true, and to his relief there was none.

He barely stepped inside a wrecked looking master bedroom. At that time, something passed across the hallway in a blink of an eye. It sent a shiver down his spine. His mind already began to imagine all the worst possibilities that were about to happen and alarming him to get the fuck out of this place.

But before Seungkwan could step outside the bedroom, a ceramic vase falls to the ground and shatters into pieces, ringing loud and clear inside Seungkwan's ear.

He concludes that there is something with him now, in this old lonely mansion. He can simply tell that he is done for today, and it's all his friend's fault and a fair share of his fault too.

"Is there anyone here?." Seungkwan asks loudly, as his voice echoes back to him.

If this is one of Jun's pranks, he is going to kick his hyung for sure. "If this is a prank, drop it!" Seungkwan shouts, he could hear the tremble in his voice.

There's a silence for a minute, Seungkwan's heart has not calmed down yet. He grips his arms and takes a couple of steps down the hallway, once again, something passes behind his back leaving goosebumps all over his small frame.

"Jun hyung, this is not funny anymore!"

"Well well, who is the mortal that dared to enter inside my mansion?." A deep voice roared inside the abandoned mansion in full authority.

Fuck. Is this his last day? Hold up, did that thing call him mortal. Seungkwan wants nothing more than to bawl his eyes out right then there, but, now he doesn't have time for that, he can do that if he manages his way out of this place.

His last remaining brain cells finally kicked in, telling him to run without turning back because he knows his knees are barely holding up.

And he knew he was fucked up when he heard heavy footsteps behind him. It's a little too late for Seungkwan to start running.

"It's rude to run away from me, darling." That thing spoke again.

But before Seungkwan could make it to the main door, the door slammed shut on its own in front of him, giving him zero chance to escape.

He has to think fast for another way to get out of this mansion. Seungkwan suddenly remembered a broken window in the left corridor and sprinted at high speed towards the direction.

Seungkwan's heart was thumping hard against his chest when the broken window came to his line of sight. He can finally escape now.

That's what he thought.

Seungkwan lunged forward, gripping the window side for support and ready to jump out of the old mansion.

His efforts were gone in vain when Seungkwan felt a strong hand grip on his waist, harshly pulling him back inside as he screamed to the top of his lungs in horror.

"Gotcha pretty boy!!" The divine being cheered, pinning Seungkwan to the nearest wall, then hovering over his trembling body.

At this point, the tears that Seungkwan was holding were now spilling out of his eyes while wrestling against its grasp, desperately trying to free himself with his eyes screwed shut not wanting to see whatever thing caught him.

"Please, please… leave me. I promise I'll never come back here. Just don't kill me, I don't wanna die yet." Hearing a breathy chuckle made Seungkwan sob even more.

"Seungkwan, baby, it's me." That immortal spoke 𝘴𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘭𝘺.

Seungkwan's eyes shot up open at the familiar voice, his sight getting welcomed by a very tall man who was flashing a fond smile at him, strangely looking like his boyfriend. When he lowered down his gaze to the mortal's mouth, sharp fangs were on full display for him to see. And it was a cue for Seungkwan to hit the man, not minding whether it would hurt or not.

"Hey, I'm sorry!" Mingyu laughed while receiving the not so painful punches.

"Do you even know how scared I was?." Seungkwan asked through his tiny sniffles.

"Not my fault, you're looking cute so it felt fair for me to play with you, kwannie," Mingyu says, thumbs the tears away while smiling all goofy and dumb being so proud of his little play.

Seungkwan threw a death glare at his vampire. It was clear that he was angry. Though in Mingyu's eyes it looked extremely adorable, he just couldn't resist his urge to leave a peck on those pouty lips.

Mingyu did so by stealing a quick kiss before Seungkwan could whack him across his face.

"I'm sorry," Mingyu tenderly cupped Seungkwan's sulky face in his hands as he proceeded to apologise, "I promise I won't do this in future. I'm so sorry that I scared you like that and it was truly not my intention-", hearing Seungkwan's grumble he corrected his words, "ok ok what I did was awful for some fun, but, it was not, so I am sorry for what I did. And please forgive me, boo." His eyes were on the ground, already starting to feel guilty about his actions.

Seungkwan pouted. "Apology accepted." He softly muttered with a sigh, gently pushing the other to give a space in between them.

Mingyu whined, not liking it he brought his smaller boyfriend back into his arms and gently nuzzled his neck. "Thank you and once again, I am sorry."

He didn't let Seungkwan speak after that because he knew Seungkwan would scold him like a kicked puppy, pressing their lips together for another kiss. Short but sweet, gentle yet fond, the sound their lips made when they broke their kiss was dreamy.

"I love you," Mingyu whispered, pressing their foreheads together ever so lovingly.

"I love you too," Seungkwan whispered back with the same amount of affection that his heart is growing, holding his eyes with Mingyu's love-filled warm gaze. They stood there in comfortable silence for a short moment before deciding that it would be better to spend the rest of their day off at Mingyu's apartment.
