Chapter 1: "Black" Trailer

Chapter Text

Edited with 1950 words

Blake sat on a Boulder, staring up at the sky as The red leaves fell, caught up in her thoughts. The cold breeze blowing through her raven hair, as it was relevantly peaceful.

You stood behind your brother, Adam Taurus, looking over to her with a smile that sent flutters through her heart. As Adam drew near, with the same old grimm expression.

"Blake, It's time." Was all he needed to say, Blake had been waiting for this mission to come, Her plan relied on it.

Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, "Okay..." Was all she could mutter out, ready to finally take you away from here.

Timeskip

Racing through the forest as the wind blew through your hair, disturbing a few of the leaves on the floor before stopping on the edgy of a cliff.

A crow cawing could be heard in the background.

Adam took a few steps closer as a train horn went off.

"Y/n."

You nodded, and walked near the edge of the cliff, using your semblance as you glanced around before spotting the target. "It's coming close." Holding out three fingers before slowly putting them down one by one as the train came closer.

As the Train barreled close enough to the cliff, The three of you slid down it before landing on top of one of the carts, before running onto another cart as Adam opened a hatch on top of the cart. The three of you jumped inside the train.

Landing inside of it, there were red lasers that you three seemed to have triggered as Adam turned his gaze to the two of you before saying, "Looks like we're doing this the hard way." As the robots in the cart activated.

Blake gripped onto the hilt of Gambol Shroud with a small eyeroll, "Don't be so dramatic."

You readied Judgement, “This should be fun.” You grinned as the robot's hand transformed into guns. "Intruder. Identify yourself." It demanded.

Adam just slightly smirked as he quickly drew blush, shooting the robot straight in the head before speeding over to it as he shot its head off and sliced it in half.

The other robots stood there for a moment before some switched their hand guns for a blade and quickly jumped into action.

About 3 ran towards you, as you quickly unsheathed Judgement.

You surged forward, cutting through the closet one before transforming Judgement into a revolver. Cocking the hammer, before pulling the trigger, the bullet punched it's way through it's wired head.

The third one shot A bullet towards you as it flew past your head, grazing your horn.

"Bastard." You grunted, Judgement quickly transformed back into a katana, Stringing towards the final one, you dug the katana deep into it's torsos. Sparks flyings.

Taking a quick glance behind you, Adam and Blake fought close together, almost as if it were a dance. Both slicing and shooting each one as they covered each other back. You smiled slightly, before cutting another robot in half. You were happy Adam had found someone like Blake.

As you Dashed forwards, swiftly cutting and shooting through the robots. Adam had kicked one of them outside, leaving a gap through the wall as the fight moved outside.

More robot soldiers came from the front of you guys as Adam took a quick glance at both of you before back at the robots. “Let’s do this.” Adam launched forward and tossed two robot soldiers in the air as you leaped into the air to slash them.

Blake threw Gambol Shroud's chain out before swinging it around, shooting some of the soldiers. It eventually landed in one's head as Adam quickly finished it off.

The three of you swiftly finished off the rest of the soldiers, sparks flying everywhere as the three of you made your way to another cart.

Adam threw the doors, and quickly stepped inside with you and Blake following after. A little deeper in, Adam opened a box with The Schnee's Dust Company's Logo on it. You shivered slightly at it.

"Perfect." Adam muttered. "Move up to the next cart." He ordered as he closed the box, before he turned towards Blake. "I'll set the charges."

Blake's eyebrows furrowed as she looked at him, "What about the crew members?"

Adam scowled, "What about them?"

Something in Blake’s heart broke. Of course she knew he was downfalling in a void of hate, but it still hurt. An even better reason to take you away from here.

Looking past him, searching for your help but it didn’t come, You just silently looked around the room.  Adam was slowly cortupping your innocent soul as you would listen to anything your big brother told you, whether it was right or wrong.

She couldn’t say anything else. A giant mechanical spider dropped down from the ceiling, it’s main weapon starting to glow a few seconds after.

"Holy shit!" You blurted out, looking at the spider robot in awe as you gripped onto Judgement.

Blake looked over at Adam as he started to move towards it, "Adam."

But he either didn’t hear her or didn’t bother to listen. He quickly dodged each of it’s shots, as Blake ran closer to it. Adam quickly called out your name. “[Y/n].” He demanded even though he didn’t tell you what. You could already guess.

Nodding your head, as you steadied your eyes. Being partially blind weakened your semblance a bit, but it still did wonders. You swiftly scanned the robot up and down as you dodged a few of it’s beams, searching for any of its weak points.

But it seems you weren’t fast enough as Blake went to attack it from it’s head but was quickly thrown back to the ground. Finding Blake as easier prey, it crawled closer to her and was most likely about to end her life.

Noticing it’s attention was taken by Blake, you pointed at the spot Blake was going for. Since it wasn’t focusing on the other two faunus in the room, it was a free hit.

“There Adam.”

He didn’t waste any time, slashing it about two or four times in the face as it stumbled back. Before it ended up kicking him away, it’s guns glowing again as it shot at Adam.

You cursed underneath your breath as The Robot rose it’s leg up, about to crush Blake. Acting quickly, You dashed towards Blake, swiftly picking her up before it’s leg could come down on her.

You gently set her down as you made it close to the door, letting out a sign of relief.

Blake looks towards your older brother, “We need to get out of here.” She stated the obvious. It was clear that robot thing was much stronger than all of you guys, you couldn’t even find any advantage before those quickly disappeared as it was ready to attack again.

You nodded your head in agreement, “She’s right, Adam. It’s too fast for my semblance to work properly.”

But before Adam could disagree, The mechanical spider’s gun starts to morph and transform into a larger version of itself. Glowing as it charged itself up, before releasing a large blast, knocking the three of you back onto another cart outside.

Adam let out a grunt as the three of you landed on the floor.

The mechanical spider crawled through the hole it made. Adam quickly stood up again, taking a quick glance at the both of you before ordering you guys to buy him sometime.

While you nodded obediently, Blake just stared at him. “Are you sure?” She asked him, like that would change his mind. Once Adam was set on something, he stuck to it. Stubborn like the bull he was.

Do it.” He demanded.

Dodging some of it’s blast, you unsheathed Judgement, as Blake chained Gambol Shroud onto it’s back before launching a series of attacks.

You did the same as you slashed at it’s legs, sometimes turning Judgement and shooting fire dust at it. Or that was until you took a misstep, and was sent flying back from the power of the blast.

That was the last thing you remembered as the world started to blur and black spots filled your vision until you blacked out.

Adam didn’t seem to notice as he readied himself for his big attack, but Blake sure did. She dodged a few more of it’s attacks before shoving Gambol Shroud underneath it’s head, launching a bunch of bullets at it before jumping away to you.

She didn’t hesitate to pick your unconscious body up, and laying you down on the final cart as The mechanical spider charged up another attack and sent a blast towards Adam.

He didn’t move to dodge it and instead, absorbed the blast into Wilt before him and Wilt glowed a bright red. He let out a sinister laugh as the mechanical spider leaped in the air to crush Adam, it didn’t stand a chance as Adam slashed at it, finally cutting it in half.

Sheathing Wilt, Adam started to run over to the cart you laid on next to Blake, before he stopped in confusion as the wind blew through his brownish red hair. Realization hit him a bit too late as Blake raised Gambol Shroud.

"Goodbye, Adam. I’ll take good care of them." Were her last words to him, as she cut the railroad coupling, separating them finally.

His heart stopped as you and Blake disappeared from him. His last family member was taken away by the love of his life. He didn’t miss the twisted smile on Blake’s face before the cart disappeared from sight.

Blake didn’t feel bad about taking you away from Adam. He was turning into a monster, and She knew you would still blindly follow him to the very end if she didn’t do something about it. She was protecting you from him in the end.

She didn’t even feel bad when you woke up a few minutes after her departure with Adam, and questioned where Adam was and where the hell were you two, only to end up crying in her arms a few seconds later after telling you Adam was dead.

Despite your pain, Blake had enjoyed holding you close by, taking in your warmth. She had ran a hand through your hair, and had whispered soothing words into your ear.

There was nothing wrong with a little white lie, Blake had told herself, you wouldn’t listen to her if she told you the truth. You refused to believe Adam has ever done anything wrong, and as far as she could tell, it would stay like that forever.

You had asked her if you guys were going back to the White Fang, and questioned and probed her why you wouldn’t. She already had another lie ready for that.

Taking in a deep breath, Blake glanced up at the sky. “I heard a few other members talking about wanting to get rid of you once Adam was gone and out of the way. That mission was a set up. If we go back, I’m sure they’ll kill you.” She lied through her teeth, but you believed her none less.

That was your biggest downfall, You would believe a single word that came out of hers or Adam’s mouth and refused to question it. But it worked great advantages for her.

You and her had turned your backs to the White Fang and were going to start anew. It sent butterflies in her stomach as she thought about the new life she was going to have with you, ready to cut down those who stood in her way with you.
