Adora woke up to the smell of cinnamon buns baking in the oven. She looked over to her girlfriend who had started to stir. Slowly Catra's hetero-chromatic eyes opened to meet Adora's blues ones. A smile soon crept upon Catra's face.
"Merry Christmas " Adora whispered
Suddenly they were interrupted by a knocking.
"Yes?" Adora called out
On queue Glimmer teleported herself into the room.
Catra insistently jumped up. "Sparkles!"
Glimmer just laughed in response as Bow walked into the room smiling.
Bow looked at both of the girls eagerly. "Presents?"
Adora and Catra just looked at each other before Adora jumped out of bed and started racing down the stairs of the library. Catra closed in behind her.
They sped down just barely missing George who had a tray of cinnamon buns and hot chocolate on it.
"Phew, now that was a close call."
Glimmer just rolled her eyes and grabs Bow's arm and teleported them back to the living room.
Lance was already seated in the love seat with George who had just put the cinnamon buns on the coffee table. While Bow and Glimmer sat on one of the couches.
"Now who wants to go first!" Lance singsonged looking to Adora.
"No Mr. Bow's Dad I couldn't possibly, you invited me into your house and traditions I think it should be you" Adora answered.
So in turn he got up and walked over to the tree. Grabbed one of the presents that said Lance and handed it to him with a smile.
He unraveled the bow revealing a bunch of new books. He saw them and smiled as he grabbed George's hand and kissed it. "Thank you"
"You're welcome. Adora, you want to go?"
With one of her classic goofy smiles she stood up and grabbed a small red box with Catra's name on it in silver. She handed it to her and motioned for everyone to leave the room. Leaving them alone together.
Catra opened the box and it had just one thing in it a it: a small green leaf. Picking it up she looked at it then she turn her eyes to meet Adora's confusingly.
Adora then grabbed the leaf and used her slightly superior height and just held it over their heads.
It was then that Catra realized what it was. Mistletoe.
She gave one of her signature smiles and pulled Adora in for a kiss.
Adora dropped the leaf, grabbing her waist and kissing back.
A few minutes flew by like seconds when they both heard "awwwwwwww look at them Bow!"
Carta broke it off to glare at Glimmer. While Bow just grabbed her hand and pulled her back to the kitchen.
Adora snorted and joked "Please don't kill our friends."
"Never" she retorted. "And Merry Christmas idiot. I love you"
"I love you too Catra."
