Takemichi woke up from the light entering his room, brightness flashing through his closed eyelids accompanied by the shuffling beside him. Slowly blinking his eyes, he noticed that it became a little bit darker than he had expected as if a certain someone is looming over him. The first thing that greeted him are beautiful turquoise eyes that seems to always catch his attention. Chifuyu is on top of him, both hands beside his head and legs positioned beside his waist. But something is different in those eyes, seeing a glint of mischief in them, he realized at that very moment that Chifuyu is going to do something he would not expect him to do early in the morning. He planned to crawl, wanting to escape but Chifuyu is faster, his hands already on his sides, feeling the feather-like touch, and then he began to tickle him.
“Wait, Chifu-“ His laughter cut him off from what he was about to say. His laughter echoes throughout the room. Chifuyu is relentless, tickling him nonstop, Takemichi’s hands latching onto his wrists trying to stop him from his sudden assault. Takemichi’s face is a bit flushed from the lack of air, tears started gathering in his eyes, he gives a little push on Chifuyu’s hands, a signal to stop what he is doing. Luckily for him, Chifuyu halts, hands now idle, opting to observe what his partner would do.
Takemichi is panting heavily from the assault he just did a while ago, some tears run down his face, and sucks up air to maintain his breathing. Chifuyu grins, planning a second round of tickling but he was interrupted by the alarms of both of their phones. The sound of the alarms echoes through the room, Like a wake-up call, he forgets about the plan, crawled off on top of Takemichi, and crawls to where their phones are, sliding its screen to turn off the alarm. Afterward, he goes back and sat on the bed beside Takemichi, and waits for him to get up. Takemichi calms himself down from the surprise tickling thing Chifuyu did. Getting up, they stared at each other for a while and chuckled. Chifuyu was the first one to close the distance and made their foreheads touch, staring into his eyes once again. Takemichi stares back, savoring this moment, somehow thankful that he got another chance of gazing into those blue-green orbs.
Time seems like it slowed down, Chifuyu craving for more, wishing time would officially stop for them to have a moment like this. Gazing into those pretty orbs reminds him of the deep blue seas he had seen before in TV shows and magazines. Takemichi puts his hands on Chifuyu’s cheeks and pinches them as if to wake him up from a daydream, disrupting the beautiful moment they have created.
“We still got something to do today, right?”
Takemichi gives him a smile, eyes closed, feeling excited about the date that they have been waiting for for days. Chifuyu chuckles, “Yeah, I know.”
Breaking off the eye contact, he gets off the bed and heads straight to the bathroom to get ready. Takemichi follows, joining Chifuyu in the bathroom while humming a song that has been stuck in his head for days. He is delighted that he got a perfect good morning greeting from his partner, thinking about those captivating eyes although that action earlier was quite an unusual way to greet someone who just woke up.
