The Chosen Children, minus Daisuke and Ken, were in Koushiro's room, waiting for the explanation from the younger version of Gennai. "The world's Chosen Children and my partners have gathered the lost Digimon in certain places." Gennai made a world map appear on Koushiro's monitor. There were 6 red dots in different locations. "The places are New York, Hong Kong, Moscow, Mexico, Sydney and Paris, these six locations."
Taichi started to think, being the 'leader' he must decide on who is going to each of those countries. "Since there are 6 locations and we have 6 D3 that means each of the new Chosen Children must be in each country. And since there are also 6 of the older Chosen Children, we can accompany each one of them. Is that right?” he asked Koushiro. The latter gave him a nod. “Okay, according to the news, they attacked the sea in Sydney... Joe, can you and Iori take care of Digimon there?”
Joe put a hand on Iori’s shoulder and gave a thumb up. “Leave them to me. If it’s water they have no match for us, right Iori-kun?” Iori gave him a smile and nodded.
“Good. Sora, Miyako you two can go to Moscow since they were attacked by flying Digimon.”
“Roger!” said Miyako with a salute. “Yes! I’m with Sora-san!”
“ Yoroshiku nee , Miyako-chan.” Sora gave a high five to Miyako.
Hikari raised her hand, “ Onii-chan , can you leave Hong Kong to me? I really want to go there.”
Taichi looked at Hikari dubiously. Hikari gave him the Yagami-stern look which made him give up. “Okay then, but Koushiro should be with you. So this left us with Paris, Mexico and New York.”
“Taichi-san, can you leave Paris to me?” Takeru spoke up. “My grandfather lives there, I think he can help us.”
“That means I’ll-“Taichi cut Yamato’s sentences before he can finish it. “No, I will go with Takeru. Yamato can go to Mexico with Ichijouji and Daisuke can help Mimi in New York, is that clear?!” Everybody was startled and gave a look after he raised his voice. Taichi, who seemed to realize his mistake, cleared his throat. “Well, that’s all for now. Any questions?” Everybody shook their heads. “Good. We should wait for Daisuke to be back.”
Hikari, who was standing near the window, noticed something headed towards them. A Digimon. And on the top of that Digimon, she saw Daisuke and Ken. She exclaimed, “Daisuke-kun and rest are back!”

Imperialdramon dropped Taichi’s team in front of the Eiffel tower. Takeru immediately looked for a phone booth and tried to call his grandfather. Fortunately, he still had the money after he visited France a few years ago. “How was it?” asked Taichi after Takeru got out from the phone booth.
“He said that he’s going to pick us up in front of Arc de Triomphe. It’s a quite walking distance but durable,” explained Takeru as they crossed the Seine river.
“What is it, Takeru? Ark the...” asked Patamon.
Takeru turned his head to his flying partner who had been sitting on his head. “Arc the Triomphe. It’s a monument in honor of those who had died defending France. It’s a really good place. You should see the view from the top, it’s really amazing!”
The yellow dinosaur Digimon seemed interested. “Really? Do they sell food there too?”
Taichi frowned at his partner. “Didn’t you just eat Koushiro’s mom homemade rice ball?”
Agumon shrugged. “I’m always hungry.” Everybody laughed at Agumon’s statement.
“We should hurry. We don’t want grandfather to wait for us, do we?” said Takeru. Agumon and Patamon decided to start a race who can reach the Arc de Triomphe faster after Takeru showed them the way. Their human partners chuckled at their childish behavior. Taichi and Takeru walked in silence. Neither of them broke the silence until Takeru asked something that had been bothering him since in Japan. “Taichi-san, why do you want to come to Paris with me?”
Taichi raised one of his eyebrows. “Can’t I come here? I really want to see the so-called city of love, is it wrong?”
“That’s not what I mean. Nii-san and I are more familiar to this city than you, but you were against nii-san when he said he wanted to come here with me. So, I figured that you want to have some business with me. What is it?”
Taichi looked at Takeru’s determined-faced. Man, he can never deceive an Ishida... or in this case Takaishi. Taichi sighed and scratched his mushy hair. “You got me. Yes, I have something that I want to discuss with you. It’s about.... Hikari.”
“Hikari-chan? Is something wrong with her?”
Taichi could hear a worried tone in Takeru’s voice. “She’s fine. Nothing to be concerned about her health or anything,” Taichi tried to calm Takeru down. “Takeru, what do you think about Hikari?”
Takeru frowned as he thought. “What do I think? She’s my best friend.”
“I mean what you think about her as a boy to a girl.”
Takeru took off guard for that question. He never imagined that Taichi would ask that. “She is my most important person. Ever since we first met when we were just a kid, I swear to myself that I will protect her. I will do anything even that means I have to give up my life for her. Because she is the light in my life.”
Taichi didn’t seem surprised by Takeru’s statement as if he already expects him to say that. “I see. You really do care for her. I will tell you this once if you ever make Hikari sad or cry you will be facing me, you got it?”
"Don't worry Taichi-san. I will treasure her." Takeru gave Taichi a determined look. "Although, you have my permission to kill me if I ever hurt Hikari-chan."
Taichi chuckled. "Nah.. If I killed you then Hikari will be sadder and probably going to kill me. Just... Don't tell Hikari we ever had this conversation."
"My lips are sealed." Takeru took a deep breath. "Well since we're here to save the world, we should think about what we are going to do to destroy the dark tower."
"I couldn't agree more, my future brother."
They cracked a laugh at what Taichi had said. Finally, they arrived at Arc de Triomphe. Patamon won the race because Agumon tripped a rock at the last minute.
"Christmas in Paris... It's much colder than Tokyo, isn't it, Taichi-san?"
"More importantly, Takeru... Is he really coming? That Michel, your French grandpa who lives in Paris."

15 years later
“I’m surprised you gave him the blessing,” said Yamato as he drank his beer. “I thought you’re not gonna let anyone marry your sister.”
Taichi shrugged. “Well, I already gave him the pep talk. Took him long enough to actually confess.”
“It’s more like a straight proposal though,” Yamato narrowed his eyes sympathetically.
Taichi imagined what would have happened right now and gulped down his beer. “ Oji-san , more beer please!”
Yamato sighed and looked at Taichi’s empty glasses. At the same time, the blond was surprised that his best friend didn’t kill Takeru once he revealed his plan on proposing Hikari yesterday to them. Given the time right now, his brother probably already had kneeled down in one knee to Taichi’s sister. He chuckled at his best friend and raised his glass. Noticing his partner’s gesture, Taichi followed suit.
Their glasses clinked as they cheered for the future of their younger siblings.
