It was no secret that Logstedshire was the worse area to live in the entire esmpee. The crime rates were high constantly and heroes rarely patrolled there. It was also no secret that it would be ten times worse if not for the vigilantes that patrolled.
Of course said vigilantes had normal lives to lead which is why Tommy was currently standing at the counter of the Sunshine Cafe. He glanced up at the clock to see how much time was left for his shift. He sighed a breath of relief when he realized it was only 20 minutes.

Techno was standing by the front door wondering whether or not he should get coffee. Unfortunately his social awkwardness and his habit of going out only when necessary kept him inside.
Ahh but I wanted a coffee

Techno shook his head. “Chat bugging you?” his father Phil asked as he sat down on the couch, Techno nodded. “They take a jab at your social level again?” another nod, “Hey you know they like you even if it doesn’t feel like it.” he said Techno glared at him.

Phil just got up off the couch, “I’m going to go get started on dinner.” Phil said before going to the kitchen.

Tommy had just finished his shift and was making his way back to his apartment getting inside he found Tubbo throwing a bunch of things around the apartment. He went to turn and leave put Ranboo called out to him “Tommy help me please! I don’t even know what I did.” he said before ducking behind the couch as Tubbo started to aim at when he heard his voice.
“Oh for fucks sake!” Tommy grumbled “Tubbo if you don’t knock this shit off I swear to god i’ll limit your projects.” he shouted to be heard over the noise as Tubbo had start to grab pots and pans.
As soon as the threat left his mouth Tubbo dropped everything he was holding and looked at Tommy “You wouldn’t dare.” he said voice steady but one look in his eye told Tommy that he knew that Tommy would “Oh but I would bee boy. I don’t have the time or energy to deal with injuries.” he said. Tubbo looked around the room and the back at Tommy at least 10 times before sighing and going to clean it all up.
“I still don’t understand how you can get him to listen to you.” the enderman hybrid said “Years of practice and making good on my threats.” Tommy replied looking at his friend with a smile. “You going out tonight?” Ranboo asked, at those words Tubbo’s head turned slightly toward them “Yeah, it’s me and Purpled tonight.” the boy replied. About 30 minutes later found the boys relaxing on the couch watching Up again. “You want to eat now or after your patrol?” Ranboo asked once the movie was over, “What are we having?” the boy asked eyes narrowing slightly “I don’t know probably spaghetti.” the boy said Tommy groaned “I’ll eat after. I’m bringing Purpled with me so be aware.” he said.
With a nod from both the boys he went to put on his vigilante outfit. The outfit was simply a red hoodie and a pair of reinforced black leggings sue him they were comfortable. Once he left off the roof because the window was way to obvious and not because his wings didn’t fit out the window no that was not the reason Tubbo.
He made his way to his and Purpled’s meeting spot keeping an eye out for heroes and villains alike.
Purpled looked up when the faint rustle of feathers reached his ears. He waited for the winged boy to come up to him “You know one of these days I’m going to beat you here and then you’ll have to come to me.” he said Purpled had to hold in his laugh “You could if you left the apartment earlier and didn’t wait till the last minute.” he said letting his amusement into his voice “It’s not my fault Tubbo’s a clingy bitch.” he retorted. Purpled rolled his eyes.
The two silently made there way through the familiar route. Tommy wanted to go check on the other areas and waited for Purpled to go stop a mugging before going off the route.
Making his way on a route he didn’t frequent he heard more than saw a set of wings. Hiding in the shadows the looming form of Thanatos landed a few roofs down. His breath hitched slightly, one of the leaders of the Syndicate was in Logstedshire.
He stood ready to fly over at the slightest hint of danger to civilians. Allowing his senses to expand out he heard footsteps heading towards the roof Thanatos was on. He was met with the sight of the Blood God. Both leaders of the Syndicate in one place couldn’t be good. Silently he crept closer to the edge of his roof to make the jump.

Phil had seen the two vigilantes while flying over and had called his son for a quick rooftop meeting. He saw one of the vigilantes and kept quiet although he could tell that he was spotted. Landing on the roof he waited either for his son to come or the vigilante to attack.
It wasn’t long before his son made it on the roof but Phil couldn’t help but notice how the vigilante tensed as soon as their footsteps became audible to Phil’s sensitive ears. The man tilted his head subtly no one was able to expand their senses that well without having a power for it.
Techno cleared his throat and Phil zoned back into the present “Alright so the hero committee is behind on how active the vigilantes are here seeing as I just saw two running across the roofs.” he said noticing how the vigilante on the roof over untensed a little. Motioning his son over and keeping his hands low he signed ‘One of them is on the roof over there but don’t worry i’ll check it out later.’ with a nod from his son he waved him away to go do what they had to.
Tommy was about to turn around and leave when he felt the air displace around him. Turning around he was fact to face with Thanatos. He subtly got into a more sturdier stance. “Hey now easy there mate. I was just wondering why you left your partner to follow my path.” the man said posture relaxed.
Tommy didn’t even truly know why he had left Purpled his thoughts were just muddled and confused and the way filled him with warmth whenever he was facing that direction.
He just shrugged “I dunno felt like it.” he said Thanatos nodded before looking at his wings “You should really preen those. You’re just going to hurt them and yourself flying like that.” he said motioning to the wings. His hands got a little to close to Tommy, so he batted them away. The minute their hands touched Tommy fell to his knees while Phil held his head.
Both had the same thoughts running through there head ‘Flock! Flock is safe. Flock is warm.’ Phil shook his head use to the sudden onslaught of thoughts the same thing happened when he met Techno but it was clear that the young avian before him had never had such things happen or at least not of this intensity then he would have probably passed out yet the boy was still in pain and overwhelmed.
Tommy didn’t know what was going on. The thoughts in his brain weren’t his and they hurt. He vaguely remembered feeling this way though not as much when he met Tubbo, Ranboo, and Purpled. He slowly got up off the ground eyes looking for threats subconsciously. When he saw Thanatos he let out a chirp and flushed red. He opened his mouth to tell the man to fuck off and leave him alone but felt hurt at the thought of that.
His brain once again pestered him ‘Keep flock happy’, he soon realized he could do no good in this state. He went to the next roof over and pressed the side of his comm three times.

Tubbo was monitoring both Purpled and Tommy so when he saw that Tommy spilt off he was slightly concerned but passed it off as Tommy chasing down a criminal. Purpled moved on along the route. It took about 15 minutes before Tommy’s dot moved and even then it wasn’t very far.
That’s when his dot started flashing. Tubbo’s heart started racing.
“Purpled I need you to get to the old warehouses by the dock ASAP! Tommy sent a panic.” Tubbo said quickly ready to help is brother in any way he can.
