Izuku strummed his guitar humming to himself, he heard the music in the reception hall pause, allowing his soft strumming ring down the aisle.
He started singing, softly, walking through the door, eyes immediately falling on the love of his life standing at the end.
“Heart Beats fast, Colors and promises. How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid to fall” He began walking, still strumming his guitar, and he smiled at Shoto. Adoration for his future husband filling his chest.
“But watching you stand alone? All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow. One step closer” he feels tears well up in his eyes, gaze still completely glued on Shoto. He loved the other so much.
“I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more.” and if that wasn't true, he had loved the man from the second he had befriended the other, having broken down his icy walls. And he knew he would love him for as long as Shoto allowed him to.
“Time stands still, Beauty in all she is. I will be brave, I will not let anything take away. What's standing in front of me every breath. Every hour has come to this.” He remembered when Shoto had proposed, they had been living together for a few months at that point, Izuku's career had really begun taking off. And one night, while they were cuddled up on the couch, surrounded by their cats that the other simply pulled out the ring and asked him. Izuku wouldn't have asked for a more perfect moment.
“One step closer. I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more. And all along I believed I would find you,” he remembered the long years before he met Shoto, how he would pray that he would one day meet his soulmate, and he did, in the form of the man standing across the aisle from him.
“Time has brought your heart to me.I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more, I'll love you for a thousand more. Ohh, One step closer” tears were falling down Shotos face now, and he felt matching ones on his even as he continued his treke down the aisle, his voice still clear and smooth as he sung the lyrics of the song, their song.
“I have died everyday waiting for you, Darling don't be afraid I have loved you, for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more”
He got closer to the aisle, reaching the end. Shoto reached out for his hands, he allowed him to do so, he smiled at the love of his life. He had never been happier than at this moment. Not when he had found his passion for music, not when he found his true calling. No, this was his favorite moment, his favorite memory and he would cherish it for as long as he lived.
Izuku took off his guitare, handing it to his best man, Katsuki before turning back to Shoto as they listened to Iida (when he had gotten his marriage officiant license he didn't know but it was convenient) read out the basics .
Eventually it was time for them to read their vows, Izuku wouldn't lie and say he wasn't practically sobbing at this point, a smile still plastered on his face as he read his out.
And then it was time to do the final part. Iida addressed him first.
“Do you, Izuku Midoriya, take Shoto Todoroki to be your lawfully wedded husband through sickness and in health?”
Izuku nodded feveriously “I do.”
Iida then addressed Shoto in the same manner “And do you Shoto Todoroki, take Izuku Midoriya to be your lawfully wedded husband through sickness and in health?”
“I do”
And suddenly, Shoto pulls Izuku into a kiss, both of them ignoring Iidas cough in surprise when he mumbles “And you may kiss the groom-”
Izuku pulls away slightly, placing his forehead against Shotos as he murmurs quietly, only loud enough for the two of them to hear “And all along I believed I would find you, Time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more”
He hears Shoto let out a wet chuckle before bringing him in for another, more passionate kiss. And Izuku felt his heart explode at the action, he knew this was the right choice, he really would love the other for a thousand years, even longer. He’d love Shoto until the end of time, and he knew the other felt exactly the same way.
When they finally pulled away, Shoto whispered to him “I love you Izuku, so much.”
In the same, quiet tone, Izuku responded “And I love you Shoto, I always will.”
