Sun will go full fanboy, Moon is planned to follow suit.
(May get obsessive but that’s what fanboys are like. BUT I am NOT writing anything yandere, abusive, or death in this. They just love you a lot.)

Chapter 1: Swaying Start

Chapter Text

Sun was letting his feet rock back in forth while he sat on a ledge. He scanned through the new Daycare once more. It was much bigger, prettier, and had a lot more things to do! And best of all, Moon was himself again and they were able to talk! Ever since the building fire everything had been going good for them.

When the fire previously happened Moon was quick enough to escape through a vent but was deactivated upon leaving the building. Which was actually a good thing because he was able to be looked at! Now he's all fixed and happy again!

They were debating on what to do today, go ‘swimming’ in plastic balls AND foam squares! Or reorganizing the books, or swinging around in the jungle gyms. Since children couldn't come see them just yet they had to busy themselves with something else.

A notification popped up in their alerts. It read that another special guest will be here today to help in the reconstruction of the place. It also has a file attached to it.

Sun was quick to open it and peer over whomever was the lucky person.

'A rockstar?' Moon asked.

"Oooh! Yep! Yep! That's soooo cool! It says they play guitars and sing. I wonder why management would ask for their help?"

'I think it's obvious. To help with making music. I wish they would've sent a picture of them.'

"So you could judge them? Nah! I'm just kidding. They must be so talented! Oh maybe they could teach us to play the guitar! Oh that'll be awesome!"

'How about you start with a greeting card. Then you could ask about their job n' stuff.'

"Great idea as ever my friend! Yes we should!"

Sun sprung up onto his bell tipped shoes. He mimed a stretch then dived down into the colorful ocean. He fumbled out of the pit and started scavenging for some paper and glitter glue.

You shook hands with one of the other artists you’ll be playing with. You were familiar with all of them and their music because you all shared a fairly similar industry. All sharing a taste for instruments and amazing vocals.

“It’s great to see you again. When was the last time we met.. Sometime during that grand world-wide show in Singapore? Oh that was a blast! We should plan another collaboration.”

The lead singer of a famous pop rock band stood in front of you, Poppy. You both had a past of seeing each other while on trips. She was very good at her profession, her vocal range is mind blowing. Her bandmate and partner Ruma was with her as well. They both performed duets in their younger years. The last one that had fallen behind them was G-Me or Gummie, a grunge drummer, who was a bit rebellious and wild when playing but you knew Poppy would keep him in check.

“So that’s all of you. I see you’re all well accustomed to one another?” A lady stood holding a planner, she was dressed up like she was ready for a business meeting.

She was the one directing all of this you’ve been told so you have to be on your best behavior. You could’ve worn more formal wear but no one else was so it was fine. You are alternate rock musicians after all.

She asked you to follow her and she led you to a big stage, your inner fireball roaring to be let out.

You grinned when you saw your guitar on a stand, just sitting there, waiting to be played. You even named it! Mom always told you if you named things you’ll get attached and it worked.

“We already set up the sound system and hooked it to your instruments. I made sure to use the personal equipment chosen instead of the company’s provided ones. I wanted to make sure it can work in the first place then we’ll go from there.”

You decided to chirp up, you had to do something before you just hopped on stage and shred right there.

“Magnifico! So when do we start?” Your leg bounced in anticipation.

She gestured with her head to the stage. “Whenever you feel like it. Around 12 o’clock they’ll be serving lunch. I’ll come get you all when the time comes.”

“Sounds good to me.” G-Me voiced as he made his way over to the stage, obviously to his instrument. You and the gals followed.

“Alright. Play to your heart's content. You know where to find me.” The woman walked off leaving you four to your devices.

“Oh this looks good! Wait wait- I need more sparkles. Here!” Sun shook the bottle containing glitter. The glitter stuck to the paper where the glue was.

It looked mediocre in the eyes of a human but to Sun and Moon it looked fabulous. The front of the card had “Welcome New Friend!” written in Sun's best formal writing. The card adorns a rainbow of colors and glitter. The inside of the card had a drawing of a guitar and mic. It didn't have any writing inside but Moon was working on what to say.

‘You should add more star sequins. It’ll even out the bright pink.’ Moon butted in.

Sun followed his words, the picture coming together into a sunrise with stars flying about.

"I think they'd really like it!" He held it up to get a better view of it. Loose glitter fluttered to the ground causing a-

"MESS! Oh what a mess! Can't have that! Nuh-uh. Clean up! Clean up!"

Sun placed down the card and went to find a hand broom. He came back and sweeped it up. After jumping the small hurdle of cleaning he got back to it. Moon finally decided what to write so Sun turned the lights off. Allowing Moon to do his part. It is a joint effort.

No one can get in their way of meeting a new friend!

You long ago let the music take over your ways. You just followed Poppy's electric violin with your guitar. G-Me joined in as well as Ruma with their own instruments. All coming together in harmony.

Your fingers worked magically across the strings with your body swaying to the beat. The clicks of your shoes zoned out from your mind.

The only movement you were aware of was your hands and the notes flowing out into the air.

You swung around grabbing your mic, not paying attention to the movement.

"You got me tied up in your love."

"The hearts in your eyes reject those lies that you love me!"

"Love me!" Poppy's voice joined yours.

You now just realized you were singing. You couldn't just stop, you weren't gonna bail on this. You looked at her, she looked back, you both nodded and continued.

"I got you addicted to this thing called me."

"You say you want to be free but you stay right beside me."

"Addiction to me is an affliction to you."

"But you don't know what to do. So stick by me and I'll let you free!"

You closed your mouth and let your guitar sing.

You strolled around the stage as if there was a crowd.

Then resumed the rest of the song. You strummed out one last note, a grin growing on your face. You felt so pumped up!

Once the echoes disappeared and silence concealed the room. You jumped around like a happy child on Christmas.

"That was great! Love your voice, great drums as ever G-Me and way to go on the Moog guitar Ruma." You pat G-Me on the back. Ruma cracked her neck while Poppy set down her guitar.

"It was nice! See I told you we should have a collab. Right Ruma?" The other lady gave her a slight nod. "Oh and you too G-Me. We should all have one big collab!" She clapped her hands together, swinging on her toes to heels, repeating the action.

"I'll have to talk to my agent about it. I tend to stay out of the public eye. Underground more of my style." Right. G-Me isn't the easiest person to persuade. How did they convince him to come here?

"-Excuse me?" A noisy voice broke everyone's attention.

The quartet all faced the owner of the unknown voice.

You couldn't move, not saying anything. Having your eyes scan the… person?

It was a robot? Cyborg? Jester thingamajig? It was a Sun thing with jester-like clothing. It had something in its hands but you ignored it. Staying still as a deer in headlights.

"What? What is that?" G-Me spat out.

"Uh hello!" Poppy asked, voice a little shaky.

"I'm suspecting this is one of the animatronics?" Ruma pointed at said 'animatronic' looking back at you for confirmation.

You had an urge to speak. Your morbid curiosity gets to you.

"Sup lil fella." You walk slowly forward, just to shield your friends if it decides to attack.

"You… you need something?" You got close enough to stand above the thing. The height difference helped make you feel safe, but not wanting to be rude, you squatted down to look at them directly. If this was the company spying on you, you had to act polite.

The robot shook its head, seemingly as if it was in a state of shock.

"Uhm uhm. I'm just looking for someone! I have a gift for them."

It held a paper, reading the title 'Welcome New Friend!' It looked like an elementary schooler made this. Wait, does the boss have a child? Was this the kid's pet? A set-up?

"And who's that?" You shifted, getting weird vibes from the fella's fixated stares on you.

…… They said your name.

"Uhhhhh. That'll be me." You pointed at yourself. You bit your cheek as you tried to give them a nervous smile.

It's whole demeanor changed in an instant.

"Oh! It's great to meet you! Wait- I haven't even introduced myself!" They face palmed themselves and pulled on one of the many rays attached to their face.

"Woah woah. It's fine dude. No need to panic." You grabbed their hand, stopping any more damage to the ray, rubbing a thumb over their padded knuckles. They still had the paper in its grasp.

The hand dragged off their face but they were at a stand still. You decided to steer the attention to the card.

"You said this is for me. Right? May I look at it?" Your hand moved to grip the edge of the paper.

"Yes! Yes! I made it for you!” A hint of anxiousness in their voice, you felt bad.

You took the card, observing the front then the back. The front had what you assumed was a sunrise which was really pretty with the glitter, the back mirrored it but with a sunset. You then opened the card, calming at the sight of the drawn instruments. Very sweet. Then you saw the side with something written on it.

‘Dear New Friend,

Welcome to the Pizzaplex!

I hope for the time you are here we can do some fun things together!

Also I hope we become really good friends… maybe even best friends!

Sincerely,

Sun!’

You took a second to process what you read and how you’ll react. Have to keep up a reputation, friend or foe… or animatronic. You move the card so you can show your face, you give them a genuine smile and your eyes closed. A happy, appreciated appearance you conveyed, similar ones you gave to fans when they handed you things to autograph or in pictures.

“Thank you. Yes, I think I could be able to-”

“Sun, what are you doing out of the Daycare? I thought the announcements explicitly told all animatronics to not disturb them.” She signaled to you then the three others. “Please return now, I have to talk to them, privately.”

“Y-Yes Mrs. Wilson! I was just greeting them!” Sun did a salute then started to skip away. He shot a glance at you, weird. You didn’t even finish talking to them. “Bye bye friends!” Sun waved enthusiastically and you waved back with a wink. Hopefully that’ll get my word out.

The lady’s anger subsided fast, a remorseful but grim smile sketched on her face.

“I am truly sorry for that interruption. Kids robot y'know, love the attention. Anyways, how is the equipment working? I heard some singing so I presume it's to your liking, yes?”

The rest of the members were quick to shrug off whatever just happened. As they told the woman their thoughts, you slipped the card in your pocket, trying your best to not crumple it up.

Sun walked out of sight from anyone and slammed himself against a wall. Shaking heavily.

‘Sun what was that!? You acted like a buffoon out there!'

Sun put his hands on either side of his face. He let out a fake sigh he'd been holding. Plague with thoughts that are stuck to him like a leech.

"I'm sorry! I-I-I-I don't know what happened! They-they-they're-"

'They're what? Breathtaking? I can hear your thoughts as if you were yelling them to me. So what if they're breathtaking? They're human, you're a robot. We aren't compatible.'

Sun lowered his hands to his sides. A new feeling flourished through his mind like poison ivy. He got control of his body again and started to finish his walk to the Daycare.

"B-but they're so… so… so perfect! I mean look at their hair, a little messy, don’t you want to run your hands through it? Their slender but muscular body, don’t you want to be held by them? AND! And- and those eyes! Their gorgeous eyes, it holds benevolence but as well as confidence! Don’t you want them to look at us that way?” Sun dreamily said, trying to convince Moon. Sun thought the last words to himself. Those lips that look so so so soft, he wants you to smooch him.

Moon couldn't decide. This is just another one of Sun’s fixations. On a human this time. It’ll pass, Moon is confident in it. Or is trying to convince himself. He did like the idea of someone liking them.

Back to Sun, his thoughts growing ever so more.

You were like a dream made into a reality.

You… you were his dream partner!

He swooned like a schoolgirl, trying to distract himself by reorganizing the bookcase to ignore the thoughts.

The thoughts that were…

All about you.
