Helena’s POV:
“Helena, you are to be sent into Harran to help the people there. We don’t know why, but according to Apollo, a great disaster is about to befall them. Hopefully, once you’re done, we can extract you from the city.” And that was what my mother the goddess Artemis said to me before I was sent to Harran. I agreed and was sent into Harran.
And that was how I ended up here, in the Harran stadium, watching the 2015 Harrran OLympics live. EVerything was going well, until pandemonium broke out in the stadium. Somebody, a man in his mid-forties, fell to the ground twitching, with foam coming out from his mouth. Suddenly, he got up and he twisted his neck backwards in such an unnatural position that a women near me fainted to the ground.
The man then started attacking people, and people also started turning into these things, and that was when people started to run, and the stadium was in pandemonium. I had no where to run, and I could not exactly use my bow, as due to the crowd, I could hit innocents and even if I used my bow, I didn’t think that my celestial bronze arrows would work on them. I immediately grabbed my roommate, Jade’s hand and we immediately ran towards the exit. I had to get out of here. This must have been the catastrophe Artemis had been talking about, but what I could not understand was how it would be so important such that they would send me to help.
Just then, a thing bit me in my arm, but due to my titan and godly blood that was flowing in me, and due to my half immortality from being a hunter of artemis, I was not affected. But of course , we still had to get out of here as Jade was still a mortal and could still be easily affected by this virus. Just then, I saw a man , maybe of Australian ethnicity, helping people to get out of the stadium and we joined him, helping to usher people out.
After everyone that was living had gotten out, he told us to get out, but I told them to get out first, that I would join them later. Seeing the bite mark on my arm, he immediately thought that I would sacrifice myself to the zombies, and they left. After making sure that they had gotten out, I used my super-strength form being a daughter of the titan of strength Atlas to rip the ground up to block the zombies from getting out, and went outside to join Jade and the man who would later introduce himself as Harris Brecken.
And that wa show the first few nightrunnners were formed. At first,we had only a crew of a few people, me, Rahim, Jade, who was Rahim’s sister, Brecken, a parkour instructor and Lena, who was a doctor. We found refuge in a tower that once was the HQ of the company Honza Motors. This is our story, and this is only just the beginning of it.
