Amarillo

Summary:

Trucker Craig is doing one of his regular trips in his trusty old semi truck, the roads empty both in front of and behind him. At least at first. A lonely man with wild blonde hair appears on the side of the road when the clock's passed midnight, and Craig curses, crosses his fingers and hopes it’s not another fucking van-life influenser.

Notes:

I always wanted to write something for this song by Gorillaz, because it is one of my absolute favourites. I know it’s lame to link songs or name stories after them, but the entire creation of this story if from this song, not only it’s lyrics but also melody. So if you have time and want the immersion, look it up:

Gorillaz - Amarillo (Album: The Fall)

As for this story, i have no clue. A friend got me back into South Park a while ago and I’ve missed this lil fandom. Back when I started writing and posting Aftermath (style) creek wasn’t canon yet, but i think the ep aired while i was writing it? Nonetheless I feel like I kinda missed out on the absolute fluff that is creek. Don’t get me wrong, style is my ride and die bitch, but mr.caffeine and mr.hatecrime are very much cute together. I still haven't read much creek, if any if I'm being honest, but I'm looking forwards to getting into it now that I've finished this damned thing. I haven't been able to write for almost a year so I'm very thankful this story just popped out from nowhere, and I got to write again with the same type of excitement it used to bring me. So yeah, I really, really enjoyed writing this. I hope you enjoy reading it too. ♡

And hi, If you’re a reader of any of my other stories and maybe you're subscribed to my account rather then the story you're interested in; I’m sorry it’s taking so stupid long. Writer's block is the main reason, and time itself truly the other. I wanna get back into writing so bad and I think about it so often, especially every time I get a comment, but the few times I've sat down to write it feels like garbage and I stop. I've got shit planned, things aren't dead, I promise!

Chapter Text

“I got lost.”

The boy was standing beside his van, its headlights illuminating the road ahead of them, no civilization in sight on either end, only empty and dry fields spreading til the horizon. A boy, because that’s what he had to be. He couldn’t be more than 20, or he had a serious case of babyface. His white shirt seemed crumpled and it looked like at least one button was missing, his pants looking a bit too short where his ankles were naked, in contrast to his too large puffer jacket. It was a flashy thing, a poofy, pastel pink jacket, something a fashionable city girl twice his height would wear.

Craig looked him up and down, without having to do anything but look down, considering the height of his semi truck he sat in. He was leaning on the window he’d rolled down, the music from his radio humming in the background. It was a cheery love song, something for nostalgic nights like these, but combining with the utter silence in the air around them it only sounded eerie.

The day was long gone outside after all, the clock past midnight, and the stars were alight. The moon shone bright in the sky above them, always a comfort for Craig when he felt the most alone driving, sometimes questioning if he was even on earth anymore. And yeah, there the moon was, it was earth.

“I know it’s a lot to ask b-but I… please, man,” the stranger pleaded.

“You another influencer?” Craig asked, frowning as he heard the rasp of his own voice. He hadn’t used his voice for a few hours, clearing his throat. There was a bottle of coke in his mug holder but it had since long gone stale and was definitely lukewarm by now.

“Influ- no, no I’m not. Eh, I don’t even have a phone,” the guy said and if that wasn’t a red flag Craig would be dumb. The blonde had clearly noticed Craig’s reaction to those words because he quickly backpaddled and added, “I mean, I obviously used to but it stopped working just a few days ago. It wouldn’t charge anymore.”

Craig had the upper hand here, and he had to keep remembering that. He usually felt safe driving ol’ Stripe XV, a 2007 Volvo VNL semi truck with a sleeper cab, his handgun neatly stored in its holder above his clutch for easy access. It wasn’t protocol for the transportation companies to be armed, obviously, but it was one of those unofficial rules pretty much everyone followed. It was mostly in case of robbery, especially at night when the truckers would rest. Partly because of wild animals, if they ended up stranded in the middle of nowhere.

This boy, in comparison, was standing next to what looked to be a 80s or 90s Chevrolet van, certainly not the most modern model. Despite his occupation Craig wasn’t one of those crazy car guys; he knew the basic models and brands, and what information he had to learn to do his job, but he didn’t have a Hot Wheels collection at home nor did he dream about sticking his cock in the exhaust pipe.

The van was a pale yellow, or maybe beige, it was difficult to tell in the low light. Both their vehicles' lights were pointing forwards, towards the road. Craig had subconsciously turned on his dome lights when he’d stopped next to the broken down van, the blonde boy having waved his arms madly on the side of the road. There were no lights on inside the van, and some orange curtains blocked the one window. The door behind the boy was open but all Craig could see of the inside was the entrance to the driver’s portion and some sneakers right above the steps, a skinny door leading to what was probably the toilet or a pantry.

Craig straightened up in his seat as the stranger suddenly turned around and stuck his head back into the van, searching for something. It was a reflex to reach for his gun, feel the cold metal against his palm as his finger pushed against the clasp holding it in place. His pulse instantly quickened and he was ready, he could take this guy in case he tried something.

“Ah!” the blonde exclaimed, “Found it- See! S-stupid screen,” he huffed and when he turned around Craig immediately scanned his hands, both of them. One of them was empty and the other was holding a smartphone, and even from here Craig could see that the screen was awfully cracked.

He carefully released the clasp of his weapon and leaned back a bit, wondering if the stranger had noticed his reaction.

“I’m really clumsy, I drop things all the time and the stupid charger won’t fit into the charging hole anymore,” he continued rambling.

Craig glanced ahead again, the road in front of them still as deserted as it had been before, his navigator on his left just directing him to drive in a straight line. Not that he was using it much. He knew where he was supposed to turn off the route.

He hadn’t seen another car for a long while. He had aimed to reach Amarillo before sunrise, which should be easy enough since he woke up much earlier than he’d needed to. It had been another night in one of the roadside motels of Alamosa, Colorado. Even though it was quiet all night long, no noisy neighbours, he hadn’t been able to sleep much.

He had a deadline to keep, and stopping for too long would push back the bonus he’d get if he was early on time.

“Please,” the boy begged, his arms falling to his sides, as if in resignation. He truly looked lost, and even though Craig knew other cars and trucks would pass here eventually, he would feel guilty over leaving him alone. He would continue to think about the odd stranger on the side of the road, pleading for a ride to civilization, wondering if he’d been picked up or not, and if, by who? A skewed trucker with evil deeds in mind?

And this stranger truly was an odd case. Craig had seen homeless people on the side of the road in the cities, backpackers asking for a ride walking on highways, but not this far out in the middle of fucking nowhere. This boy didn’t look like a meth addict, nor an escaped inmate. Then again, they were still on Route 160, which eventually led to the Huerfano County Correctional Centre.

Craig inwardly groaned, looking at the boy again. Nah, he didn’t look like it. He absently adjusted his pants, his other fingers tapping on the steering wheel in tune with the music.

“You got any weapons on you?” he asked with a sigh. He could practically see the boy’s eyes light up with hope in the dark.

“No! Nothing at all, sir,” he said and held up his arms, as if Craig was gonna come down there to do a body search like some TSA agent.

Craig raised an eyebrow. “You live a van life and you don’t have a gun?”

The stranger laughed and scratched his arm. “Well yeah, I was supposed to get one but I just never got around to it. I don’t like guns much.”

Craig didn’t reply but refrained from rolling his eyes. His truck was still running and he regretted not turning it off when he’d initially stopped. Then again, if the guy had actually pulled out a weapon it would’ve been better to quickly speed off. Not that ol’ Stripe XV could exactly “speed off”.

“You gonna just leave the van here then?” Craig asked, leaning over towards the passenger seat to clean up the remains of his breakfast. It only consisted of a mostly eaten gas station club sandwich and an empty coffee cup, tossing both into his trash bag behind his seat. He made sure the door to the back of the long haul truck - his small sleeping quarters - was closed and locked.

“Well, yeah, I assume your truck isn’t a towing truck. I’m not very educated when it comes to trucks but I’m pretty sure those look different.”

Craig hummed and made a hurrying motion, waving with his hand for the boy to get in. The blonde appeared to jump in the air before he turned around, closing his van, locking it up. It was apparently a struggle to do so because he used the wrong key not only once but twice, cursing and muttering to himself. He was kind of twitchy, both in his speech and actions. Maybe Craig had been wrong about the drugs. Could it be crack? Hopefully it was just some tame pill overuse, or maybe severe caffeine addiction. If the guy started coming down from his trip Craig would kick him out. He knew some smaller towns were coming up, those were always an option.

Craig used his panel to unlock the passenger door since he couldn’t reach across, and he wasn’t going to unclasp his seatbelt and crawl over the two chairs and middle panel. It clicked and just a few seconds later the door opened, the blonde struggling to climb in for a moment, unknowingly very close to hitting his head against the metal frame. His semi truck was a tall beast, and even though Craig enjoyed hovering over other cars it was also scary at times, especially when skinny little mopeds tried squeezing by. And not to mention Craig had struggled to get into the seat at least more than one time. Maybe three.

“You’re not gonna bring anything?” Craig asked, watching the blonde buckle in, struggling with the seatbelt like he hadn’t rode a car before. “Like, not a backpack at least- stop tugging on the seatbelt, pull it slowly!”

“S-sorry, man,” the boy apologised, “and nah, I’ve got my keys and wallet here. I’ll just call for a tow truck when we get to Amarillo. It was Amarillo you were headed to, right?” he asked, finally buckling himself in. He finally looked up and Craig could see him better now, the interior lights of his truck bright enough to blind him if he was driving. Craig gave him one look over, trying to make it obvious he was checking for weapons and not just inspecting the guy’s crotch.

He seemed to understand and smiled, holding his arms up again and then patting his pockets. The keys jangled in his front one, and he wouldn’t be able to have a gun in his back pocket sitting like that, unless it was up his ass. Which definitely seemed like a health hazard. Craig shuddered at the idea of it going off, worried enough that he was going to shoot himself in the foot if he couldn’t get to his gun quick enough and ended up stumbling with his fingers on the trigger. Obviously his gun had its safety on, but it was one of his recurring nightmares to accidentally pull on the wrong thing before getting it out of its holster.

“Yeah, my stop is slightly ahead of Amarillo but I’m sure there’s buses going into the city centre,” Craig explained, relaxing a little at the sight of the boy up close. He couldn’t be much of a danger to Craig, he was both shorter and thinner, and from what he’d established, weaponless. If anything he was kind of pretty, from what Craig had noticed when properly studying him up close. His cheeks were flushed and his hair a little crazy, but he looked older up close than from Craig’s view above him earlier. Maybe older than 20 then.

“My stepmom’s uncle has a towing company,” the stranger hummed, “he’ll be pissed if I don’t call them rather than a random company.”

“They’re based in Texas?” Craig asked, starting his truck again, the familiar hum from ol’ Stripe XV warming his chest. The stranger seemed to jump a little at the noise but he was smiling slightly, looking around like he was a little excited. Craig pushed down the smile of pride he felt whenever someone showed admiration for his semi truck. Usually it was kids playing close to the street, pointing at him when he drove past, and at rare times other truckers at truck stops, nodding towards ol’ Stripe XV and giving him a gruff “she’s nice”. Craig couldn’t be assed to correct them that his truck was a he.

“One in Texas and one in Denver. Looking to expand to Santa Monica or something I think,” he said, leaning down to suddenly remove his shoes, Craig distractedly watching him while also glancing at the road. If this boy got mud on his seat he’d… probably ask him to brush the dirt off. His car was quite dirty and in need of a clean up, interior and exterior, actually.

“Santa Monica?” Craig asked when he realised what the boy had said. “In California? Not Santa Fe?” Craig asked, distractedly watching him kick both boots off, his legs bending so he could rest his socked feet against the edge of the seet, arms around his knees.

“What- Oh yeah, I meant Santa Fe,” he chuckled, scratching at his knee.

Craig turned back to the road, glancing at the gradually disappearing van in his rearview mirror. He sure hoped the boy wouldn’t suddenly yell that he forgot something. Wouldn’t it be normal to at least bring a bottle of water or something? Or was he expecting such hospitality from Craig?

“What’s your name?” he asked before it was too late and awkward to do so. He probably should’ve started with that before inviting him into his truck.

“Tweek- weird name, I know. Hippie parents,” he explained, turning his head to smile at Craig. His smile and posture made him look younger.

“How old are you?” Craig added, then remembered to return the exchange. “Uhm, I’m Craig.”

“How old do I look?” the boy asked, grinning a little and Craig gave him an unimpressed look.

“Sorry,” he laughed, his voice light, “I get that a lot, it’s- uh, hehe. I’m 24.”

Craig nodded, turning down the volume of his radio a bit more as a loud pop song had started playing.

When he started driving for Thousand Oaks Transportation he’d initially used his phone to play his own songs and playlists, but that quickly got old, not to mention he eventually longed for a little human speech in between songs, and therefore the radio worked.

“You’re very young to be out here with your van all alone. Aren’t those van-lifers usually couples, or with a dog or something at least?”

“You’re not much older than me, Mr. Trucker,” Tweek pointed out. For not the first time Craig despised the semblance of his surname and occupation, only one letter off, because for a second he thought Tweek knew who he was. He glanced at the blonde again. He was pretty sure he’d never seen him before anyway.

“I’m still older than you though,” he grunted. He suddenly remembered to turn on his main beam again, flicking it on, the lights illuminating the road in front of them. He was so used to driving with the main ones out on alone roads like these, and had only switched to the dipped lights when he caught sight of Tweek’s stranded van.

“Alright, let me guess,” Tweek murmured, turning a bit in the seat to study the driver. Craig unknowingly raised his shoulders at the sudden attention, keeping his hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Something warm grew in Craig’s chest.

“No wrinkles as far as I can t-tell, heh, apart from the one between your brows” Tweek said, leaning forwards a bit to try to see Craig’s face from the front. Craig glanced at him for a second but made it clear he would focus on the road. Even if said road was very straight and well lit up from ol’ Stripe XV now, no passing or oncoming vehicles in sight.

“And I’m gonna assume your hair isn’t greying underneath that hat,” he mumbled aloud. Craig watched him scratch his knee once more in the corner of his eye.

“Magical number… 29?” he finally guessed.

Craig snorted. “Smart to not go a year up.”

“I know what I’m doing,” Tweek chuckled. He seemed to have already calmed down from the fit he seemed to be in earlier when Craig had first stopped on the side of the road. Or well, in the middle of the road since there was no one around apart from Tweek.

“Well, I’m turning 29 in January,” he answered, briefly checking his phone attached to the charger on his dashboard, just for something to do. He’d get notifications of roadblocks and such, but considering the hour of the day, and that it was a Tuesday morning, it wasn’t likely there would be many. Closer to Amarillo, yeah sure, but not out here.

The song on the radio ended, the commentator prattling on about the artist’s new album, a new song already starting back up in the background.

“You’ve got to be lowering the average age of your occupation a bit,” Tweek said after a minute of silence.

Craig shrugged, only one hand resting on the wheel now. It was a bit startling to have a passenger, and he couldn’t completely relax. It wasn’t the first time he’d given someone a ride though, but it wasn’t usually for this long. Girls on the road used to trust him more than the older, gruffy looking truckers (whether that was a good thing or not he wasn’t sure) and he’d given a few a ride when he got close to certain cities, especially LA. He supposed the hippies were still a thing.

“Don’t you ever feel in danger for it?” Tweek continued after a moment and Craig looked over at him.

“I don’t think my age has anything to do with the dangers of transporting,” he said, attempting to sound stern. “And I take precautions to protect myself.”

“Alright, yeah,” Tweek said and Craig didn’t like one bit how his passenger didn’t even seem a tiny bit scared. If anything he’d calmed down from his twitchier self from before and was lazing quite freely in his seat.

“Thanks for giving me a ride though,” he continued after a bit, “you obviously didn’t have to and I kinda guilt-tripped you into it but at the same time I was-”

“You were stranded, yes,” Craig finished for him, the two speaking the end of sentence in chorus. Craig shrugged again. “It’s fine though, the roads can be kinda lonely at night.”

Why did he say that? That sounded fucking desperate.

“I mean, I like my job a lot,” Craig hurried to add. “But these long trips in the middle of nowhere lose their appeal and beauty after the twentieth ride.”

“I can see that,” Tweek agreed. “The view is very pretty, the mesa and mountains and stuff, but it’s very repetitive… I imagine.”

Craig was glad he didn’t make it awkward, even giving a small, tight smile, eyes still on the road.

He knew Tweek received it though, when the blonde continued.

“And I’m sure it can get lonely. Hope I’m helping a little bit.”

The words by themselves were innocent but the cadence of that last bit had Craig straightening up a bit.

“Uh, yeah.”

He couldn’t say “thanks”, that would be weird.

Silence fell over them as Craig continued on the 160, planning to make a pit stop in either Walsenburg that was coming up, or Trinidad of the 25. There was one in Aguilar too but it was a struggle to fit the big long haul truck onto the smaller roads. Trinidad, on the other hand, could be messy, and if Craig wanted to stop for food too he didn’t want to have to spend more time there than he needed. Fuck that one time he decided to sleep in that one parking lot in Cokedale. The place was called Cokedale for fucks sake.

When they neared Walsenburg Craig drummed his fingers on the wheel. He glanced over at Tweek, which was the first time in a while (he was trying very much to not be creepy) and the blonde moved in his seat again. Craig watched him as he did, his feet now on the dashboard right above the glove department.

Their eyes met and Craig was about to tell him off when he saw the small smirk on Tweek’s lips. Yeah, his lips were shaped into a cheeky smile but his eyes were intense, but not in the way a defiant teenager would say “dare me”, but rather as if he was excited for Craig to try it.

The words died on his tongue and he unknowingly swallowed around nothing, turning back to the road while occasionally glancing at the socked feet in his peripheral view. He also noticed what looked like cat hair on Tweek’s jeans. Nonetheless he didn’t want fucking feet on his dashboard, and Tweek should be at his mercy, getting a ride and everything, but there was obviously something defiant about this man.

Craig had planned to refuel in Walsenburg, he had inwardly decided so a few minutes ago but now he completely forgot to, and only remembered after they’d passed the Conoco and 7-eleven on the way.

“Shit,” he cursed under his breath, Tweek glancing over at him with curiosity in his eyes.

“What?” he asked.

Was his voice deeper?

“It- nothing, just planning to stop for gas soon. I wanna get a coffee too,” Craig explained after clearing his throat.

“Sounds good,” Tweek agreed. “I shouldn’t drink that much coffee though, pretty sure there’s enough in this system.”

“This system?” Craig asked, bringing ol’ Stripe XV to a stop at the first red light in a goddamn while. There was only one other car nearby, also waiting patiently while no cars drove on the crossing roads. On their left was a dodgy looking motel, the neon pink sign illuminating the inside of his truck. He could see the shuliete from someone sitting on the upper floor veranda, smoke floating into the air from a cigarette.

“The system, my system,” Tweek corrected himself. “I haven’t had coffee in years and the caffeine is still lingering.”

Craig absently raised an eyebrow as he turned onto the 25, some sort of Cannabis store on one side, piles of lumber on the other.

“I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works. How much did you drink?”

“You tell me. And way too much, apparently,” Tweek replied, holding out his hands in front of him, Craig glancing at his slightly shaking fingers. He still hoped it was caffeine and nothing else. He wasn’t going to ask just yet though. At least Tweek seemed fairly sane. Fairly.

The sun was still sleeping and wouldn't be coming up for another hour, but there was a very slight light at the edge of the horizon, enough that Craig could see the two Spanish Peaks of a smaller mountain far to the east. Apart from that the land was pretty flat though, and while trips around these states were usually less risky relating to weather, the plains were boring to look at. Craig had seen some stunning sunrises during his years as a driver, this would not be one of them.

“What do you like more, sunset or sunrise?” Tweek suddenly asked as if he’d read his mind, his toes wiggling on the dashboard. Craig huffed.

“Why?”

“Just making conversation. And I love the sunset, man. It’s very colourful and pretty but it-it brings the mysteries of the night, you know?”

Craig couldn't help but to snort at that.

“Alright. Well, sure, but the sunrise is also nice. It’s a bit like spring, I think. Like, ‘now it’s gonna be brighter’.”

“Poetic,” Tweek teased.

“My guy, you just said mysteries of the night-”

“Yeah but it is mystical!” Tweek insisted, but he was laughing, “That’s when the parents go to bed and the demons come out to party.”

“Jesus,” Craig said, but he was amused too.

Tweek went silent again and Craig could tell he was looking at him, but didn’t turn or acknowledge it. He almost expected Tweek to ask him another stupid simple question, like “What about you favourite colour?”

He asked Tweek himself instead, only slightly mocking him.

At least Tweek scoffed at that, crossing his arms and leaning back in his seat. He was glad the other didn’t answer, since Craig didn’t have a favourite colour himself. Being colorblind would do that to a person.

He could see yellows and blues fine, apparently, but the reds were difficult to differentiate. He was glad all stop lights looked the same with the stop light on top, or he probably wouldn't be doing his occupation.

Craig wanted to talk some more, it was nice and he’d grown a little tired of the music. He casually turned it down even more, in case his passenger was actually listening, and tried to think of conversations. He was reminded of his sister who always said she and her hairdresser knew everything about each other because they talked so much every time. He supposed he and Tweek hadn’t shared much of the basic information, but usually the passengers would ask Craig about all this stuff. Why he started driving, what he did in school, what model of truck he drove etc.

Tweek didn’t ask. Instead the blonde leaned further back in his seat, throwing an arm over the seat he sat in, the faux leather creaking underneath him. He must’ve touched the curtain behind them that separated the driving portion of the truck to his sleeping quarter. Behind that was the thin wall and a slim door. Craig had seen the curtains used by other drivers and liked the idea, it felt a little more soft than only the hard metal.

Tweek was apparently intrigued by it and turned around in his seat, and without hesitation pulled the curtains apart. Craig knew he’d locked the doors, he even made sure, but he still waited for his passenger to try the door handle.

“Can I go check it out?” he eventually asked, curiosity almost childlike.

“Not while I’m driving,” Craig instantly replied, like the suggestion was ridiculous. He had meant to give him a simple no, because even if he wasn’t driving he wouldn’t have let him, but kind of forgot about that part.

“Damn, alright,” Tweek replied, slumping back into the seat. “It sure is boring just driving.”

Craig raised his eyebrows, slowly turning to him. The blonde gave him a sheepish smile. His jacket had fallen off his shoulder, revealing even more of that white button up. How many buttons were missing? Were there even any left? Craig caught himself staring and looked back towards the road, Tweek’s naked shoulder and collarbone still in the center of his mind. Fuck.

Tweek had definitely noticed, but he didn’t say anything about it.

“Sorry, I’m a little fidgety. Don’t like sitting still for long,” he said instead.

Craig let out a surprised laugh at that. “Then why did you choose the van life?”

Tweek pouted at him, then rolled his eyes. “Yeah, maybe it’s not for me, but I love seeing new views and sights. The world is so unexplored, you know.”

“Is it?” Craig asked, having assumed humans had explored most places by now, excluding big ass desserts and the obvious ocean floor.

“I don’t care if a human’s already been where my feet stand, but for a singular person the world is severely unexplored.”

Craig wanted to reply that no one would have their feet where Tweek had them, still on his dashboard, because Craig didn’t like fucking feet on his dashboard. It felt too late to complain about that now though, and he still wasn’t sure what that daring look had been about.

“A lot of it seems to be the same though, at least in places with similar environments,” Craig said instead.

“Well yeah, that telephone pole is identical to that one,” Tweek said, gesturing lazily at the telephone poles they were passing, “but this whole place, this road, it’s a new experience for someone.”

“I guess.”

“But not for you,” Tweek asked, but it was a rhetorical question. Craig only hummed.

They passed the sign for Exit 42 and Craig once again forgot to notice, not that he’d really planned to stop in Aguilar anyway. In actuality he’d probably make it to Amarillo with the gas he had, but that would be if he really wanted to push it. And he did not; every trucker had their horror story about running out of gas. Craig already had one when he was delivering cheese in Nevada and he hoped that one could stay in his nr.1 top spot of embarrassing deliveries.

Tweek seemed to be inspecting his nails when he spoke again. “Do you always sleep in your truck or sometimes in motels?”

“A bit of both.”

“What about where you came from?” he asked, and Craig felt a tiny red flag raise in the back of his head. He wasn’t sure why, but it was an odd question.

“Why?” he decided to ask, trying to not sound hostile.

“Just curious,” Tweek replied, stretching in his seat again, “I must’ve come from the same direction as you and I don’t remember seeing many roadside motels.”

That sounded innocent enough. “There’s a pretty cheap Lodge in South Fork,” Craig tried instead. “If you have the money it’s a nice night. There’s a cafe called Tiny Timbers there that I love, they have the best cinnamon buns.”

He hadn’t stayed in South Fork tonight after all, so it felt safe. He picked up Tweek only a bit after he’d woken up in Alamosa, but it was true that the South Fork Lodge was a favourite of his.

“South Fork,” Tweek repeated, nodding a bit in thought.

“You ever pass through Las Vegas?” Tweek continued in his questioning.

“Sure, a few times. We sometimes take the small roads around the city centre so we don’t have to deal with the traffic jams though.”

“Well, you know what they say about truckers in Vegas,” Tweek snickered.

“What do you mean?” Craig knew what he meant. He hadn’t been driving for long before he saw women in short shorts climb into trucks late at night, looking around to make sure no police were nearby.

“Nah, sorry,” Tweek said, one of his hands reaching forward to trail the indented letters of the airbag sign.

Craig didn’t elaborate on that, nor did he ask Tweek to do so. He had turned off the inner heating of his car a while back, and the night was cold outside, yet it somehow felt pretty warm inside the truck. Craig played with his AC for a minute, putting it on the lowest setting for some slight cold air. Tweek seemed thankful beside him, humming a little.

“But you have to notice some stuff though, right?”

Craig supposed Tweek wasn’t dropping the subject after all. He moved a little in his driver’s seat, changing hands on the wheel.

“Well… I try not to be judgeful, but it’s difficult not to look at certain drivers and think they do that kind of stuff, sure,” Craig answered, trying to not sound too annoyed. It was just curiosity, he was sure, but he didn’t want to dirty the reputation of his occupation too hard either. Sure, there were some truck drivers he would gladly drag in the mud, but others were good people just doing their job, being away from their loved ones in order to put food on the table.

“And I’ve never done it,” Craig remembered to add after a second, stumbling a little over the words. Now he just sounded like he was lying. “Obviously.”

“Obviously,” Tweek repeated. There was a slight mocking tone in his voice.

Craig was starting to grow a bit suspicious. Was Tweek… that kind of person? In case he expected Craig to try to ask for money for the ride in the end?

He was about to tell his passenger that ‘No, you don’t need to pay me any money for the ride’ but he realised that train of thought would be obvious to trace back to what Tweek had been talking about.

Tweek didn’t look like the type of passenger to be walking the back roads of Las Vegas in short shorts and cowboy boots, but then again maybe Craig just hadn’t been looking for that type of person. He wasn’t attracted to women, he knew that, but he hadn’t been actively looking for a man lately either.

A few years ago he’d been impromptu invited to a bachelor’s party close to Seattle where a few too many beers were passed around. One of the groom’s best men got a little flirty after his third tequila shot and Craig felt a bit daft for not having realised he was clearly being hit on during the night. The guy had wanted to see his truck, which in hindsight Craig should’ve realised he had no interest in, but he didn’t mind, he had explained some basics before the redhead had enough and pushed Craig back in his seat, riding him right there, thankfully succeeding in not falling against the horn after he came on Craig’s cock.

It was a fond memory, even if it felt a little bit too daring and stupid at the time. Now Craig certainly realised it had been a goddamn while since he’d shared the bed with someone, but he didn’t beat himself up about it. He wasn’t actively looking for anyone, and he felt fine in his life right now. Yeah, driving could get lonely but if he really wanted to share the bed with someone he always had his phone apps. Though he was fairly certain both Tinder and Grindr had uninstalled themselves because of inactivity.

“You hungry?” Craig asked instead, and almost groaned at how that sounded with the last conversation in mind. “I think there’s a few fast food chains coming up,” he added, just to be clear.

Tweek let out a short laugh. “I’ll get something if you’re eating.”

Whether the laugh was from him realising Craig’s train of thought or something else, he wasn’t sure.

There was a rest area just before the small city, but the restaurant close by wouldn’t be open now. The best option was the Wendy’s just past the city, even though Craig wasn’t much of a Wendy’s fan.

The city was mostly deserted, a few lone cars passing them here and there. Craig always felt weird whenever he was driving around in his old Toyota Camry, because it was such a contrast to ol’ Stripe XV. Sure, the vehicle could feel clunky at times, and driving around busy streets with other drivers he didn’t trust could be stressful, but his baby was such a gentle beast; he felt safe surrounded by all that metal. Looking down at people in their small cars, yeah, maybe there was something evolutionary in his monkey man brain that made him feel tough and big.

“I’m getting chicken nuggets,” Craig said, having to put his full focus on squeezing ol’ Stripe XV into the parking lot. Drive-Through was obviously impossible because of the height to his window, but at least this parking lot was massive, compared to the McDonalds they’d passed in town. Craig would’ve much rather had a Big Mac though.

“Oh, strawberry frosty sounds nice,” Tweek said beside him, putting his boots back on. Craig managed to just squeeze past a horribly parked Jeep and crossed his fingers it would be gone when he left the place.

Pulling ol’ Stripe XV in park was a satisfying procedure which filled him with a tiny shot of reward endorphins, because it usually signalled he had reached his goal, or was about to get a snack break. Craig went over his mental checklist of making sure everything was where it was supposed to be, pulling out the key and making Tweek get out before he locked the passenger door and lastly his own. He knew his cargo was locked, he’d double checked when he left Alamosa but it didn’t hurt to tug on the padlock at the back of his truck once more.

Alright.

Tweek was standing with his hands in the pockets of his puffer jacket, hair just as wild as before, eyes a little lidded. Was he getting tired? Craig realised he hadn’t even asked if Tweek had slept any, he was so used to driving at night himself he forgot it wasn’t the norm. Then again nothing stopped Tweek from trying to sleep in the passenger’s seat if he wanted to.

“I never asked what’s your cargo,” Tweek inquired suddenly and Craig gave him a small smile.

“It’s just furniture. Not even worth robbing me over it,” Craig replied, holding the door to the fast food restaurant open for Tweek. There were two tables busy in the restaurant, both occupied by drunk teenagers. Behind the counter stood a tired looking teenager too, her hair in a rough braid.

“Damn, alright, guess I’m gonna look for another truck then,” Tweek chuckled and while Craig rolled his eyes a sudden shiver passed down his back. Because what if there actually was any truth behind it, and that was or had been Tweek’s intention.

Craig suddenly frowned. “Oh yeah, couldn’t you call the towing company now by the way? And wait here? I’m pretty sure this place is open 24 hours.”

Tweek eyes were on the menu above them, his expression giving away nothing. Then he turned to Craig, giving him a hesitant smile. “I was hoping you’d get me to Amarillo if you could, cause one of my uncle’s offices is there so I’d just camp there or something. Instead of waiting here for-”

“Yeah, it’s alright,” Craig interrupted him. “I don’t mind, and I’m going there anyway, as we’ve established. So it’s chill.” Somehow he felt a bit pleased at Tweek’s answer. He was glad he asked him nonetheless, if Tweek wanted an out.

“So it’s chill,” Tweet repeated with a nod and smile, and Craig was starting to see a pattern with that, the blonde often repeating his words. He swung back and forth a bit on his toes and then eventually went over to order. He insisted on paying for Craig’s food too, and the trucker felt like that was fair, telling the tired looking teen what he wanted.

Craig watched Tweek dig out his wallet from his pocket, struggling to find where he’d left his money before he patted another pocket and pulled out another wallet. Craig raised an eyebrow and snorted, leaning against the side of the counter since there was no one in line behind them.

Then he frowned in realisation. Why the fuck did Tweek have two wallets?

The blonde had eventually found money it seemed, and he handed over the bills to the girl. She certainly didn’t seem to care he’d taken out a second wallet, but Craig attentively watched him pocket it again.

They waited by the end of the counter, a cash register with a crooked OUT OF ORDER sign on it behind them. Craig absently stuffed his hands in his pockets. He looked out towards the glass windows, having his semi truck in view, a habit by now.

Tweek wandered around in front of him for a moment, looking at the group of teenagers. He had picked up a deserted packet of ketchup, smoothing out the edges of the plastic. He suddenly appeared to be uneasy again.

Eventually his eyes looked up and met Craig’s, a deep breath leaving the blonde.

“What?” Tweek asked after a moment, taking note of Craig’s look.

“Why do you have two wallets?” he asked, attempting to sound casual about it.

Tweek frowned as if he wasn’t sure what Craig was talking about. “What? Two- oh, it’s just for security, in case I get robbed, or something. I know it’s a little silly but it’s just become a thing now.”

Craig almost wanted him to elaborate, or ask him to show his two wallets just to make sure there weren’t ID’s of unknown people inside, people who weren’t Tweek.

He scolded himself inwardly, insisting he was being ridiculous. People had weird habits. He certainly did. It was normal. Whatever.

Suddenly standing facing each other like this was somehow a lot more intimate, even if they were now surrounded by other people and not just alone out on the road.

Craig tightened his jacket around himself, glancing out the window again. Tweek turned around and sat down at the closest table, resting his elbow on it, chin in hand, attention back at the drunk teens. Craig noticed the faded highlights in his hair, definitely bleached at one point in the past, almost white compared to his other dirty blonde.

Craig quickly looked down at the floor when Tweek turned back to him, but he was too slow; Tweek definitely caught him staring. Craig glanced over his own shoulder at the counter to busy himself, hoping the food didn’t take too long. When he turned back around, Tweek tilted his head at him.

“You ever go to uni?” he asked, nodding slightly towards the loud group. Craig scratched his arm, watching one of the girls fall over into the lap of another girl, laughing loudly.

“I was gonna be a vet for a while, actually,” Craig said, watching Tweek’s face for a reaction. There was no laughing or scoffing, only curiosity.

“Never got that far though,” Craig added, “and I don’t think I would’ve gotten in, but still. It used to be my plan.”

“A vet, huh?” Tweek hummed. “Why not a doctor?”

“Doctor?” Craig scoffed. “That’s a big jump, and like, impossible to get into unless you have all perfect grades, which I definitely did not. Not saying vet school is much easier, but it’s still a jump between the two.”

Tweek nodded slowly.

“Not to mention I like animals, probably more than people,” Craig added, almost jumping in his spot when the Wendy’s worker appeared over his shoulder with their food. He awkwardly thanked her, taking his bag of food and cup of soda.

All Tweek got was a strawberry Frosty, which was apparently a thing for now.

“You sure that’s enough?” Craig asked as he watched the blonde sip his milkshake. Tweek’s lips spread into a smile around the straw, Craig averting his eyes.

Tweek was the one to hold the door open for him this time, Craig fiddling with his keys as they crossed the parking lot. The jeep was still there and probably belonged to the teens inside, Craig muttering to himself as he unlocked his baby and got inside.

They got comfortable in their seats, Craig throwing the old coke back into the trashbag, putting his soda in the holder.

“Is it illegal to drive and eat at the same time?” Tweek asked, sitting on his knees, facing Craig. He had already kicked off his boots again.

He answered by starting his truck back up, absently patting the wheel with a hand before turning it around on the large parking lot.

“No, but careless driving is,” Craig added, throwing a fry in his mouth. He usually ate and drove at the same time, it wasn’t that bad.

He squeezed right by the jeep, mumbling a “Fuck, that’s tight” to himself. He didn’t hear any scraping so he must’ve passed in success. A few turns and then he was back out on the big road, letting out a small sigh. Beside him Tweek chuckled a little, humming in reply.

Craig ate fairly quickly, annoyed that he’d forgotten to open the dip sauce packet. If he was alone he would hold the wheel in place with his knees and use both hands to open it, but he didn't want to appear careless in front of a passenger.

Tweek must’ve realised what Craig was annoyed by, however, as he suddenly leaned over to dig into his bag. And considering said paper bag was in Cragi’s lap… it… yeah.

Craig cleared his throat as Tweek rummaged around for a second, putting a bit of pressure against Craig’s lap, before he dug out the little packet of Creamy Sriracha, opening it for him. Craig laughed a bit awkwardly but thanked him, dipping a nugget into it. Tweek was chewing on something, his milkshake held in place between his legs, and Craig guessed he’d stolen a fry.

“Is it any good?” Craig asked, for a lack of anything to say.

“Mhm, very sugary,” Tweek replied around a mouthful of milkshake.

They continued on the 25, the Raton creek following along the road on the right, the water reflecting in the light from his truck. There was a car that had been behind them for a minute, a faster model of some type, and it soon sped right past, disappearing behind the turn up ahead.

At the next turn the moon peaked back around one of the smaller mountains, Craig and Tweek both letting their eyes fall onto it.

Tweek leaned back and threw his cup into the trashbag, stretching in the seat again and when Craig one handedly crumpled his bag up to discard it, finished eating, he noticed Tweek wasn’t buckled up.

“You’re not wearing your seatbelt,” he exclaimed, frowning. The warning bell should’ve gone off, it always did when someone was sitting in the seat and wasn’t buckled up. Was it not functioning properly?

“I’m light as a feather,” Tweek replied cheekily, almost as a whisper. Craig was going to tell him to buckle the fuck up but when he turned to his passenger the words died in his mouth.

Tweek was still sitting sideways in his seat, facing Craig, his eyes nonblinking as they met Craig’s, his lips slowly sliding into a smile. His expression was coy, like he knew something Craig didn’t. It was that same type of intense look again, Craig distractedly squeezing both hands around the wheel, not being able to take his eyes off the man. He noticed Tweek had shrugged off his jacket, the pink fabric pooling around his elbows, the white shirt inside also about to come off. The skin of his shoulders and upper chest was exposed, Tweek smiling even wider as he noticed Craig staring. He seemed completely shameless, sitting there half-undressed, pleased at the attention Craig was giving him.

With a loud gasp Craig straightened up, doing a double take to look at the road again, making sure the truck was heading forwards. “Wh-what,” he got out, having to clear his throat.

“You want me to suck your dick?” Tweek asked, a pale hand appearing on Craig’s thigh, his fingers stroking the denim of his pants.

“Jesus,” Craig huffed. He had to focus on keeping his eyes away from Tweek’s, because he was starting to notice the pattern; as soon as he met his gaze he seemed to fall into a trance of some sort, unable to take his eyes away. Just looking at the road had been a hell of an accomplishment.

Goddamn it, it didn’t matter that his brain was telling him no, that this was obviously stupid, his body had already accepted Tweek’s words, his skin growing hot. Fuck, it really had become warm in there.

“I- that’s not-” Craig said, attempting to get his mind in order. Fuck his heart was racing.

“I’ll make it real good for you, I promise,” Tweek continued, probably sensing Craig’s dying hesitation. The driver unconsciously tugged on his jeans again. Suddenly they were feeling really tight.

Craig had to push the breaks in his mind, trying to tell himself to act mature, forcing himself to think thoughts of car crashes, picturing the image of his semi truck on the side of the road, lying sideways.

“It’s- that’s kind of dangerous, and stupid,” he finally managed to get out. His hands were gripping the steering wheel hard, as if it was his lifeline.

“It’s a straight road ahead,” Tweek pointed out, nodding towards the window, his eyes still not leaving Craig. Was he actually trying to hypnotise him or something?

‘Shit’, Craig thought, ‘Did he put something in the fucking dipping sauce?’

The hand on his thigh climbed a little higher, Tweek leaning forwards, his face appearing in Craig’s line of sight. He gave in and glanced down at the blonde again then, removing his right hand from the wheel, fingers awkwardly grabbing the back of Tweek’s chair for something to hold on to. That fucking smile again, smirking and knowing, and yeah, Craig bet those lips would feel amazing around his cock.

“Why…?” Craig tried getting out, annoyed he couldn’t look back up at the road again. It almost seemed like Tweek’s large eyes were pulling him in, like he was frozen in the line of sight of some sort of prey animal. “I can’t keep my eyes on the fucking road,” he cursed aloud, more to himself than to Tweek.

“Oh, sorry,” Tweek chuckled, and looked down, Craig exhaling as he felt himself able to look back at the road. He was still driving in a perfectly straight line, his hand not having steered much where it was still holding on tightly. He moved a little in his seat as he realised Tweek was eyeing his now very visible bugle. Had the fucker put crushed down viagra in his food or something? He was really subtle if he’d managed that.

There was the familiar but long-since-last-felt heat in his chest too though, his face no doubt flushed to all hell, and not that Craig knew how viagra felt, but he knew how being horny felt. And yeah, this was obviously it. He knew it had been long since, but he suddenly felt like he had when he first discovered good gay porn, that new, intense sort of warmth firing his body.

“I trust you,” Tweek continued, his voice notably soft and sweet now. His tongue was poking out between his lips and Craig cursed again, his dick giving a happy twitch inside his pants.

“You don’t have to-” Craig told him, wanting to make that clear. It didn’t really seem like Tweek was just doing this as some sort of payment for the ride, he had been acting like this from the start after all, but Craig wanted to be clear.

“I know, I just really fucking want to,” Tweek hummed, apparently sensing Craig’s wilting guilt of doing the moral and orthodox thing, and declining his offer.

“Why?” Craig asked, shakily, his nerves getting to him. Yeah he was into it now - no matter how dumb it was - he really, really wanted to just pull his fly open and feel that warm, wet heat around him, but there was a sense of unease just under the skin. Not because of the dangers of doing this in the first place, sure that was still present in the smart side of his brain and all, but mostly just flustered at the action of sex itself. Mostly since it had been a while.

“Should I pull over?” Craig asked before Tweek could answer his first question, the blonde chuckling lightly. When he didn’t reply the trucker glanced down at him, almost moaning aloud at the sight of Tweek making sure he was watching before he leaned down and let his tongue drag against his zipper. The denim had to be dry against his tongue, the metal rough and cold, or maybe not cold since Craig felt like he was burning up.

“Don’t,” Tweek said after doing it once more, “I like feeling the hum of him.”

It took Craig a second to realise Tweek was talking about ol’ Stripe XV and he huffed in reply, not sure what to say.

“Plus, you’ve got a deadline, don’t you?” Tweek added, his voice definitely deeper by now, “We’ll get there on time. I just wanna busy myself with something.”

Craig finally let his last wall of hesitation drop, cursing as he let a hand drop onto Tweek’s back, keeping it safe and touching where his shirt still was. His pink puffer jacket was left in his seat, discarded by his legs. Tweek’s knees were in his seat, feet up in the air and posed against the passenger window, his elbows resting on the center console between the seats. Craig absently noted he was pretty strong for holding that position.

“Alright, fuck,” he gave in, scooting a bit forwards in the seat. Tweek let out a sigh in reply, almost like he felt relief at being allowed to give his ride a blowjob.

He didn’t waste time pulling down the zipper, unbuckling his belt and leaning down to push his nose against Craig’s tented underwear. His warm breathing was felt even through the fabric and Craig fought against the desire to throw his head back. He could tell there was a truck on the other side of the road up ahead, and he almost held his breath as it passed. The driver shouldn’t be able to see inside much, and considering Tweek’s pose on his knees he probably wasn’t very visible anyway.

Tweek was clearly good at seduction but apparently wasn’t much for taking it slow, because he soon grew bored of the underwear, tugging it down to expose what he was looking for.

“Mhm,” he murmured in his lap, two gentle and no longer shaking hands taking a hold of Craig’s cock, the thing almost rock hard, pretty much standing up straight. Craig knew he wasn’t small; it sort of came with his height, but it was always satisfactory as fuck to see his partners making heart eyes at his dick. Yeah, his flat ass wasn’t makin anyone turn around but his cock sure could fuck deep.

“I knew you’d be big,” Tweek said, sounding pleased, his right hand holding the shaft while his left pulled his balls free, taking care to not scratch them on the zipper. Craig carefully lifted his lower body a bit, Tweek instantly understanding his idea and wiggling his pants down a notch. Craig sighed in pleasure when Tweek’s hands went back to his cock, once against focusing on his whole length.

There was something certainly skillful in Tweek’s actions that made a voice in the back of Craig’s head insist Tweek must’ve done this many times. As he leaned down again to rest his head on Craig’s upper stomach, licking his lips and getting the head of his cock wet while his hands pressed the base of his shaft, the other lightly tugging on his balls, it told him the blonde knew what he was doing.

So he really was a hooker then? Or was he just one of those cock-horny, usually rebellious boys wanting to get as many lays under their belt as possible?

Would he expect Craig to pay afterwards?

Shit, he hadn’t asked anything about that. It would be too late and awkward to ask now, right? Considering Tweek was making happy noises while lovingly sucking on his cock, yeah, it felt like it was.

Craig closed his eyes for just a second, letting himself feel the tight heat of Tweek’s mouth, his soft tongue trying to almost wrap around his dick as he went down on him. He was quite messy, Craig realised, but it was a sort of practised messy where Tweek was using his escaping drool and spit as lube to steadily pump the base of his cock. With the way this was going Craig wasn’t going to last very long.

As if sensing so, Tweek popped off and leaned down to mouth at his balls, his tongue pushing against the skin, hot air blowing against him. Goddamn. Craig’s one hand on the wheel was definitely whiteknuckling it by now.

Almost like a snake slithering forwards Tweek moved his body the other way, approaching Craig more head on as he opened his lips for his boner again, tongue poking out to meet his red and glistening cockhead before swallowing him down. He felt himself push against the back of Tweek’s throat and Craig couldn’t hold back the groan when he realised Tweek wasn’t choking. Instead he just started sucking him again, lips tightening every now and then against the base of his cock, pulling him deeper and deeper.

Craig was just waiting for him to choke any second, glancing up and down from the road and Tweek, his free hand unconsciously moving to the nape of his neck, gently holding him in place but also ready to tug him off if it seemed to be too much.

It apparently wasn’t and Tweek frowned for a moment before he let out a sigh through his nostrils, finally wrapping his lips against the base of Craig’s cock.

“Holy fucking shit,” Craig whispered, lidded eyes watching Tweek take his whole cock. He wasn't sure someone had done that before. It was the sort of things he saw people do in porn, not in real life. It couldn’t be comfortable, Craig had sucked dick before and choking on them wasn’t the best feeling in the literal sense.

Tweek took it like a pro though, evidently, and seemed to get comfortable in that position. He rested his head on Craig’s leg, lying down facing him now, and with that view Craig realised with a curse he could see the subtle but obvious shape of his cock bulging in Tweek’s throat.

Who was this guy? Was he even fucking human?

“Shit, Tweek-” Craig continued rambling, remembering to look up at the road again, the straight Route 25 still underneath them. A sign on the right reminded Craig that they would be closing in on Raton soon, a small town in the corner of New Mexico.

Tweek slowly pulled off, his eyes fluttering open as he stared at the cock in front of him before letting it go with a pop, Cragi’s skin wet and shiny. Tweek closed his eyes again and dove back in and Craig moaned once more, finally letting his hand fall into the messy blonde locks, fingers absently brushing his strands around. One of Craig’s first and secret boyfriends had always told him he loved it when he played with his hair while going down on him. Craig didn’t much enjoy it himself, but from the content look on Tweeks face he gathered that the blonde did.

There was a very slight scrape of teeth and Craig inhaled sharply, feeling the familiar pull in his balls. He was getting close.

“I’m- I’m not sure I’m gonna last much longer,” he said and to his surprise Tweek whined around his cock, his eyes again opening for the first time in a while to glare up at Craig, his cock pushing against the side of his cheek.

Alright, well, damn.

He carefully brushed his hair back, Tweek snuggling into his hand as he went back to bobbing his head, sucking him thoroughly, giving his dick all his attention as Craig climbed towards his orgasm, still trying to at least last a little longer.

“Fuck, Tweek, f-fuck,” he started breathing heavily when he felt it near, tugging lightly on Tweek’s hair. Tweek fought him though, one of his hands firmly on Craig’s hip as he kept his head in place, tongue pushing and slipping against the slit of his cockhead, and Craig exploded.

Saying it had been a while was an understatement. Yeah, jacking off was still a habit for each or the other day, but this was on a whole new level. Craig was still coming down when he kept thinking this was the best high he’d ever felt, his pleasure skyrocketing as Tweek practically worshipped the shape in his mouth. His hand was still pumping and jacking it, as if trying to push out as much cum as possible. And if the swallowing noises was anything to go by Craig guessed he didn’t need to reach for a napkin for Tweek to spit into.

They crossed the border into New Mexico and Craig had to use both hands to flick down the dimmer lights while slowing down, two cars having stopped on the opposite side of the road up ahead. Without his full attention, given the way Tweek was still suckling on his cock in his lap, Craig only vaguely took note of the two vehicles. Maybe they were friends and just took a pee break, or they’d accidentally bumped into each other on the road.

Because of the speed limit here he was going a bit slower, but he made sure none of them stepped out onto the road to wave for him, in case they were actually in trouble. Not that Craig would’ve stopped anyway, he realised. Even if one of them was actually having car trouble Craig couldn’t do much, and he’d already picked up one lost driver. That was definitely the reason Crag wouldn’t have stopped in case they wanted him to, and not because of Tweek’s earlier insisting of a blowjob.

Glancing down at Tweek again he released another tense sigh, finally feeling relaxed and mellow in his seat, even with his pants still pulled down and cock out. Well, ‘out’ wasn’t the right word since Tweek still had it in his mouth.

Craig felt a bolt of oversensitivity when Tweek gave it a careful suck, hand going back to his nape. Tweek must’ve gotten his message because he pulled back a little, gently licking the shape instead.

He felt like he should say something but Craig wasn’t sure what. ‘Thanks’ was a little weird and made him think of this as a possible monetary transaction again, which he didn’t like.

“That’s not the first time you’ve done that,” he said instead, and tried to make it sound like a compliment.

Tweek only hummed against his cock, finally releasing it but only so he could start… was he snuggling it?

Craig watched in bewilderment as the blonde gently held it against his face, resting it against his cheek, eyes still closed. Craig was still hard in his post orgasm but he could feel himself coming down by now, his cock slowly softening. Tweek didn’t seem to mind, pushing down to nose against his balls again.

When he finally turned and opened his eyes, only half-lidded though, looking straight at Craig, the trucker let out a slow sigh of amazement and perplexity.

If Craig had been thinking he himself got high off his own orgasm just a minute ago, Tweek was on a completely different plane of existence. His eyes were glassy, pupils dilated and expression one of pure bliss.

“Fucks sake, man,” Craig whispered and Tweek slowly grinned in reply.

“You had a good time?” he dared to ask with a chuckle, raising an eyebrow.

Tweek eagerly nodded, tilting Craig’s cock up again so he could push his face against it, the trucker gently laughing.

Alright, so he had some weird kinks. Or maybe this was his addiction; not cokaine, not caffeine, but sex. Maybe cum? Craig snorted at the idea.

They were quiet for a while, and Tweek really looked like he was comfortable still lying in Craig’s lap, eyes closed and body mostly still, like he was asleep. Craig had noticed a slight bulge in Tweek’s faded jeans before but when he looked over now it seemed to be gone. He wasn’t sure if he was supposed to feel disappointed or not at that. Not that he would’ve returned the favour while driving anyway. If they were parked he would definitely be up for giving the other a hand- or blowjob in reply, but not while he was driving. He might’ve let go of a few of his restrictions to accept the blow job, but doing it to someone else while driving? He might as well just drive his truck right off the road to save him the trouble.

Raton was another one of those small mountain cities, Craig having passed through a few times. He saw what he thought was a familiar worker’s long haul truck, the green semi passing across another highway on their left.

When he turned onto the road that led into the town he was a bit worried about someone peeping up inside his truck; if he’d happened to stop at a red light beside another truck the other driver might very well be able to see inside, and probably question the blonde mop of hair in Craig’s lap.

He glanced down at Tweek and scoffed in amusement as it almost looked like he was cuddling his now mostly limp dick, like it was a stuffed toy.

“You falling asleep on me?” he asked, passing underneath a bridge, a white car speeding past him, definitely breaking the speed limit.

“No,” Tweek mumbled, opening his eyes again, blinking a little. It sure looked like he’d fallen asleep for a moment.

The blonde stretched a bit, one of his shoulders letting out a light pop. “Where are we?”

“Raton. I’m gonna have to stop for gas here,” Craig said and decided to not add ‘since I forgot back when we picked up food.’ Considering he’d been distracted by his passenger from the start he didn't feel so guilty over it anymore, but telling Tweek about it felt a little pathetic.

There was a gas station and 24 hour truck stop coming up at the edge of town which Craig had stopped by at before. When he was driving lots for Denver Stone Works he passed through here a lot, but it had been a while since last time.

“Alright,” Tweek had replied and slowly sat up in his seat, looking around like he wasn’t sure where Raton was. For all Craig knew, maybe he didn’t. He had mistaken Santa Fe for Santa Monica before after all.

Craig pointedly looked down at his still exposed dick and Tweek must’ve seen him do it because he laughed a little, mumbling a quiet “Sorry” before gently putting Craig back into his underwear, zipping up the zipper but leaving the button and belt still open. Craig didn’t say anything about it but gave him a small thankful smile nonetheless.

“Raton,” Tweek said after a minute of silence, “That’s not in Colorado is it?”

Craig almost snorted.

“No, New Mexico,” he said instead.

Tweek hummed in acknowledgement, sitting up and resting his head in his hand, staring out the window and taking in the view. Not that Raton was much of a view, in Craig’s opinion.

A large Coca-Cola truck was just pulling out of the gas station as Craig flickered on his blinkers, the red truck giving him a greeting by flashing his lights. During the day some truckers would use the air horn as a greeting, but during the night, especially in the cities, it wasn’t as nice towards the citizens. Craig flashed his lights back at him, bringing ol’ Stripe XV to a stop next to one of the semi truck-friendly gas pumps at the edge of the gas station.

Across the street he could see a few trucks in the rest area.

Craig unbuckled his seat, grabbing his gloves from the middle section, and was about to jump out when he remembered last second about his belt and pants button. He hurried to fasten and buckle it, Tweek giving him a bratty smirk in the passenger’s seat.

“You staying?” Craig asked as he opened his door, watching Tweek place his feet on the dashboard again, giving him a short sigh. Tweek definitely received the look but didn’t seem to care, and Craig supposed that was fine since he’d sucked his cock and all. It still felt weird to think about that all just happening.

“Yeah, if it’s alright with you.”

Craig grasped the keychain in his hand, gesturing to it as he started climbing down. “I’ve got the keys so you’re not going anywhere even if you try to start him up.”

“I don’t even know how to drive,” Tweek yelled after him and Craig rolled his eyes. No wonder his van broke down if that was the case then.

Putting on his gloves he twisted off the fuel tank’s cap, locking the fuel pump in place and going around to do the same thing on the other side. It was all a pattern by now and Craig briefly lifted his Thousand Oaks INC cap to dry his forehead, unable to not think back to the sight of Tweek in his lap before, licking his cock like it was the most addictive icicle ever.

Shaking his head to focus he got back to work, taking the time to check his wheels again, tugging on the padlock in the back too for good measure. His windows and mirrors were still fairly clean and he didn’t bother with the bucket and mop standing next to the fuel station.

When he got back inside Tweek was sitting cross legged in the seat, playing with the CB Radio, the cord spun around his left wrist.

“Don’t accidentally turn that on,” Craig said, packing away his stuff.

Tweek didn’t reply but hung the radio back up. He smiled sort of expectantly at Craig and the trucker hesitantly gave him a smile back while starting everything back up. He made sure the road was clear before he pulled out of the gas station, remembering to tell Tweek to buckle up this time. The blonde turned his head to stare out the side window but didn’t do as told, Craig sighing in annoyance at that.

He remembered how defiant he had been as a child, never wanting to ride with the seatbelt because it wasn’t cool, and his cousin Billy never had to. He thumbed over the cruise controls on the steering wheel, picking up speed as he drove onto Route 87. If he calculated correctly it would be approximately two hours straightforward now. Getting to his destination from the border of Amarillo, maybe plus an hour.

He glanced at Tweek, informing him of his assumptions about the remaining time.

Tweek nodded, lazing down further into his seat. He took a sip from Craig’s leftover soda every now and then.

They drove for a few minutes of silence, Craig fiddling with his navigator for a bit, checking if he was able to update the software while he drove, finding out that that wasn’t the case. He let it be, leaning back a bit into his seat instead.

After a while Craig got a little uncertain, since Tweek hadn’t looked at him for a while now. Considering he was constantly doing that earlier when he first picked him up, it felt a bit odd. Had he grown tired of him or something. He had said he was bored earlier, but Craig just assumed that was a ruse since he’d apparently been horny if anything. Or had he been? As far as Craig had seen Tweek himself hadn’t cum, unless he very quickly did so handsfree in his pants earlier.

“You okay?” he asked after a bit, watching Tweek look up from where he was fiddling with his fingers. The blonde nodded, pulling his jacket out from underneath him to play with the pockets.

“Are… we not going to talk about that stuff that happened earlier?” Craig elaborated, awkwardly scratching his arm.

“You wanna talk about it?” Tweek asked, like Craig was the weird one. The driver let out a huff, shrugging.

“I mean like, uh, I’d return the favour but not while I’m driving.”

Tweek let out what actually had to be a giggle. “It’s fine, it was mostly for me anyway.”

Craig raised his eyebrows. “Mostly for you? Did you miss the part where I was the one getting my soul sucked out of my dick?”

It was such a stark contrast to suddenly see Tweek frown seriously at him, since Craig had expected a laugh or maybe even some blushing. He was essentially flattering the man. Or at least he had tried to; the look Tweek gave him certainly didn’t say he’d taken it as favourable.

“I did not,” he said, Craig awkwardly looking back to the road so he didn’t stare.

“Uh…it’s an exaggeration.”

Tweek turned back in his seat, legs still crossed. “Oh,” he simply said.

Craig wondered if he was religious or something, and didn’t like the mention of souls. He tried to show his gratitude with other words instead.

“What I meant was that it was amazing, probably the best I’ve had e-in a long, long while,” Craig said, trying to sound sincere but not too lame. “And I still don’t know why you blew me in the first place, I certainly hope it didn’t seem like I was expecting you to-”

“You think I’m pretty though,” Tweek interrupted him, and Craig wasn’t sure whether it was a question or a statement.

“Yeah, obviously,” he decided to reply. It was the right answer because Tweek smiled again.

The blonde stretched his arms out in front of him, glancing at his own hands as he did so.

“I’m pretty pale though,” he said and Craig scoffed.

“I haven’t been in the sun for what feels like months,” he competed with.

“Apparently this- me either,” Tweek replied, stumbling a bit over his words.

“This me?” Craig asked in amusement, “Are you referring to ‘this system’ again?”

Tweek didn’t find it that funny and only hummed in reply.

Craig couldn’t hold back the question. “You a robot or something?”

It was Tweek’s time to scoff. “A robot? No.”

Craig could read between the lines, and wondered where the hell this conversation was going. His silent question hung in the air for a moment but Tweek didn’t elaborate, so Craig went for it.

“But not… a human then?”

Tweek instantly snickered when he asked, like he found Craig amusing. He smiled innocently, his shoulders raising a bit where his hands were clasped in his own lap. “What if I’m not?” he asked.

A part of Craig wanted to roll his eyes, the other part wanted to narrow them at his passenger.

He leaned back in his seat, watching a line of motorcycle riders pass him. Either it was a group of long-haired men or one of those lady biker gangs, Craig wasn’t sure. He never recognized their embroidered brands on their jackets and stuff, apart from the most famous ones.

“Well, you certainly don’t look like a Lady In White,” Craig humored him, “considering you haven’t murdered me yet since picking you up, and the obvious,” he gestured to Craig’s body. No white dress and not a lady, as far as Craig could tell at least.

“That’s true,” Tweek agreed. “Or I could be a lousy Lady in White? Man in White? Lad in White?”

Craig let out a snort, turning his AC back on again. Either his thermoethor had gone haywire or there was something wrong with his AC or heating system. The truck was starting to get warm again and considering the early morning temperature outside it shouldn’t be happening. If anything he should be flicking the heating on and off.

“Any other guesses?” Tweek asked after a while, turning around in his seat to lean against the dashboard, like he was trying to find the most illegal seating position a passenger could sit in.

Craig raised his eyebrows at his choice of sitting position but he doubted Tweek was going to listen if he told him off. He’d been lying in his lap earlier after all.

“Uh,” Craig thought aloud, “Well, considering you went for my dick pretty quickly,” he chuckled and realised how crude it sounded only after he said it. He glanced over to make sure Tweek didn’t take offence, and going by the wide grin it didn’t seem like it. “Uh, expanding on that, maybe like a roadside mermaid? Siren?”

Tweek made an impressed noise and Craig thought he was going to accept the answer for a second.

“Roadside siren,” Tweek murmured, “that does sound fun. Assuming the siren has legs and all, since it’s on land then?”

“Or wheels,” Craig suggested, happy to see Tweek laugh loudly at that.

Out over the horizon the sun was nearing, and Craig would guess it’d be about half an hour to an hour before the sun rose. Raton was far gone behind them and again it was only planes on either side, only cattle appearing every now and then. Further away were some mountains, and Craig knew this area was pretty stunning back in winter.

Tweek moved around on his side of the cab and then he appeared in his line of sight, Craig once more removing his right arm from the steering wheel as Tweek leaned onto his lap, a coy smile on his lips. It appeared as if he was trying to be inconspicuous but Craig raised his eyebrows at him, giving him a questioning look.

Tweek only smiled brighter, his fingers splaying over Craig’s thighs, tapping his legs like an impatient child.

Craig looked back up at the road, then back down at Tweek, then back up.

“What?” he finally asked, and Tweek slid his hands up his legs a bit, and okay yeah it was definitely getting warmer in the truck.

Craig wasn’t going to guess what he wanted though, because part of him couldn’t understand Tweek at this moment. Was he actually asking if he could…? Again?

Tweek’s right hand moved up to play with Craig’s belt buckle, flapping it side to side and Craig felt his heart speed up, adjusting his position in his seat a bit, Tweek’s upper body moving with his movements.

When the blonde got tired of that he started flicking the zipper pull tab up and down, the metal clicking rhythmically. Craig kept his focus on the driving, only glancing down every now and then, Tweek’s eyes always there to meet him every time. He was doing that intense staring again. Craig was starting to interpret it as hunger by now. Hunger for fornication, he thought, swallowing around nothing.

Finally Tweek seemed to grow bored of that and sighed a little, resting his chin on the top of his hand, still lazing on top of Craig’s thighs.

“Can I have another snack?” he asked and Craig almost choked. He blinked at him, trying not to push his hips up where the blonde was almost resting on his crotch.

“Uhm,” Craig wondered aloud after a moment, “A snack-?” he tried hesitantly asking and Tweek rolled his eyes.

“Your grandiose penis,” Tweek clarified, with absolutely zero shame in his voice and expression. His cheeks were flushed, sure, but he didn’t appear the least bit embarrassed to be asking for cock again.

“It’s only been like, twenty minutes,” Craig said, glancing at the digital clock on his phone, not sure the estimation was completely correct. Craig usually didn’t have a long refractory period, and his dick was sure enough showing interest in Tweek’s sacrilegious intentions, but wasn’t this a bit sudden? In terms of friendly blowjobs?

“I mean… I- I really enjoyed myself, like I said-”

“-Like you said, yes,” Tweek added.

“-Yeah, but it’s still kind of- or rather very dangerous to do it while I’m driving.”

Tweek waved a hand in uninterest. “Eh, I’m sure it’s fine; you did fine last time! And some of that pent up energy went away with your first orgasm, so if anything I’m sure you can focus on your boring driving even more now.”

“Boring driving?” Craig scoffed, slightly hurt. “This is my job, you know.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Tweek mumbled, eyes falling on Craig’s zipper again, watching it intently like it would open on its own if he stared hard enough. “Please?” he added after a moment of silence, Craig once again trying to get comfortable in his seat with his gradually growing boner pushing against his pants.

Craig stared at the moon in front of them in disbelief, like it would reply and say “yes, this is madness, Craig.”

“What is my life?” Craig asked himself aloud instead, Tweek letting out a short laugh.

“You know it’ll be good,” Tweek insisted, and yeah, Craig did know that. The blonde was already moving his hands over his crotch area again, but not directly pressing down on him. One of his hands travelled up to Craig’s waist, pushing up under his jacket, playing with the fabric of his under shirt, not directly touching him skin to skin yet.

“Your balls still have a lot to give,” Tweek said and Craig had to hold in a surprised laugh, “I could feel it, you know?”

“You can feel it, huh?” Craig asked instead, tone only slightly mocking. This man in his lap was something else, to say the least.

“Yeah, it’s all pent up too,” Tweek continued, his tone almost sad, like he felt heartbroken over Craig’s cock. That should probably feel a bit condescending, like Tweek was thinking Craig never got any. Since there was some truth in that, and all Craig got lately was the palm of his hand, he didn’t answer.

Craig reached over and took a sip of his soda, finding that Tweek had drunk most of it by now. Shoot, what if he’d drugged the soda this time? Then again, Craig got hot and bothered even before Tweek would have the time to tamper with his drink.

“Alright, fine,” Craig finally gave in, both Tweek and his body instantly thanking him as the blonde dug in, not even bothering with foreplay this time before he sank down on his cock, taking the whole thing almost immediately.

Maybe roadside siren wasn’t such a silly idea, Craig thought as he tried to keep his eyes open and on the road.
