Work Text:

“Bring him in.”

A deep voice commanded from behind the door, leading the two guards on either side of Kaius to drag him into the bedchamber… before dumping him unceremoniously at the dreaded king’s feet.

Kaius didn’t dare look up.

Ever since the Blood King had torn through their tiny city and branded it as his own, Kaius’ quiet life had been turned upside-down.

On the night they had been invaded, his father, King Romus, had sacrificed himself for Kaius, commanding his most loyal servant to dress the frightened young prince in the robes of a peasant and smuggle him from the castle… while the King stayed back, ultimately  forfeiting his life so that the two would have enough time to escape.

It had all been for naught, in the end. That same loyal servant had evidently drugged Kaius and called the invading guard to take him… so that he could collect the high bounty the new King had put on Kaius’ head.

a strangely exorbitant price that demanded young prince Kaius be brought to the castle alive…

The Blood King— the only title he was known by— was more a legend than a man. A nightmarish tale told to children to scare them into obedience.

Yet, he was no story. He was the Warlord of the East Seas, whose fearsome army had singlehandedly defeated every kingdom it had set its sights on. King Romus, of course, had never even entertained the thought that his own kingdom would one day fall into this madman's grasp— as it was, to a man like that, their Kingdom of Roma shouldn’t have even been worth but a second glance.

Apart from a reasonably successful spice trade, the kingdom was small… insignificant. It had nothing the Blood King would need— would want.

And yet, here he was.

“We meet again, little prince.”

Those words had Kaius’ head shooting up, wild eyes falling on the fearsome King for the first time. He almost shrank back at the vision in front of him, of this man sitting leisurely on the bed of his fallen father.

The Blood King was a frightening sight to behold, in that he was utterly disarming in his form— his shoulders broad, his body thick and carved in muscle that spoke of years of hard training… and he was devastatingly handsome in his ferocity, with dark eyes and raven hair that fell past his shoulders like dripping ink.

He was unlike any other man Kaius had seen before. There was no familiarity in the hard lines of his face, his eyes.

Kaius did not know this man.

“Do you not remember me? I am truly hurt.”

His voice was like acid, slowly eating away at his words as a vicious grin curled his lips. He didn’t seem hurt at all.

“I remember you, little prince.”

The king didn’t elaborate, and Kaius didn’t ask him to, instead, he let his head tilt down again until his eyes were once more upon the floor. His head still felt heavy from the drugs, leaving his body weak and his mouth uncomfortably dry.

“Do you still have the one who turned him in?”

The Blood King spoke to the two guards, his attention thankfully away from Kaius for the time being. Even feeling the man’s eyes on him made his stomach clench. He felt like he was going to pass out, probably would soon if he didn’t get something to drink.

“Yes, your highness.”

One of them replied. Kaius didn’t bother to check which one.

“Good. Kill him, slowly. I have no need for someone willing to betray their own prince.”

“No!”

Kaius shouted, his voice coming out croaky and dry, distorting the word into a painful cry.

“He has a wife and two children, you can’t—”

Kaius didn’t get to finish, not when a strong hand suddenly wound tightly around his throat and cut off the rest of his sentence.

“You heard our little prince, find the traitor’s family, it is fitting that they should follow him to the grave as well.”

Kaius tried to scream as the two guards bowed quickly and left, but the hand around his throat just tightened in response, only releasing him when white spots danced across his eyes and the world around him started to blur.

The Blood King held the prince up as he gasped in a desperate breath, the king at the very least not letting him hit the ground as the last of his strength escaped his weakened body and he was left half collapsed across the warlord’s lap.

“It’s an important lesson, knowing when to hold one's tongue. You should thank me.”

Kaius struggled in the king’s arms, desperate to get off of him, but his effort proved fruitless— and seemed to amuse the king more than anything else.

“This face is quite lovely… you grew up well, little prince.”

Kaius’ eyelids fluttered weakly under the words, still dragging in each jagged breath, lungs burning in the effort. He flinched when he felt fingers graze over his cheekbones and down across his lips, before ending at his jaw.

The Blood King lingered only for a moment before he grasped Kaius’ chin and wrenched his face up to look at him.

Before Kaius even realised what was happening, the man was kissing him, rough and consuming. Possessive.

Kaius had never been kissed before.

An explosion of anger burst through the haze that had surrounded him from the moment he had drunk from that cursed drugged tea— and for the first time since then, he felt free of its clouding effects.

Kaius bit down hard on the hot tongue plundering his mouth, his hands coming up to scratch at the king’s face, sharp nails gauging deep satisfying lines into the Blood King’s cheeks.

His body hit the floor hard as the king released him with a fierce roar, and Kaius took the opportunity to scramble to his feet and run, heart hammering in his chest as he stumbled to the door and grasped for the handle.

He never made it.

The Blood King was too fast, never missing a beat as he grasped a handful of Kaius’ amber braid and yanked him back.

“That was a foolish thing to do, Kaius.”

The punishing hand in his hair never relented, not even as his body was thrown to the hard ground, knocking the wind out of him, leaving him stunned.

Kaius started to fight again when he felt his robes being parted behind him, when he heard the unmistakable sound of his under-clothe being ripped apart… but it did nothing to stop him, he was too weak.

The king’s body on top of him felt heavy and stifling, leaving him to suffocate under it as his thighs were forced apart and something hard was pushed up against his now naked ass.

“This is another lesson you can thank me for.”

The Blood King snarled as he shoved Kaius’ face harder into the floor, muffling his screams as he suddenly forced his thick cock inside of him in one brutal thrust. There was no pause, no restraint as Kaius was fucked hard and vicious on the carpet of the room that had once belonged his beloved father.

It was agony, a pure and unfiltered suffering that coursed through his veins and left him writhing on the floor as he was raped by the monster who had left him with nothing and no one.

He was alone.

The Blood King pounded into him wildly, growling like an animal as he took his pleasure in the punishment he was giving, seemingly careless of the torture he was inflicting upon the young prince so ruthlessly.

Kaius was torn, he could feel it, could feel the blood that dribbled down his thighs, the blood that now at least mercifully eased the punishing cock pistoning inside of him, splitting him in two. The monster had taken Kaius dry, had forced himself inside of him and ripped into him so savagely… to teach him some unspoken lesson?

He had never felt such a violation.

“This is your place, beneath me, taking me so beautifully inside of you.”

Those cruel words were grunted with each thrust, punctuated with hungry kisses to the side of his cheek and the back of his neck as Kaius sobbed into the carpet.

“You must learn not to fight me, little prince, you must learn your place.”

The Blood Prince’s movements started to lose rhythm, his hips moving faster as he clutched Kaius closer and groaned into his neck, sinking his teeth viciously into his shoulder as he slammed inside of him one last time and came to a violent end, filling Kaius with his spend in one final act of depravity.

Kaius was marked now. The king had him pinned beneath him as his release continued to spill inside of him, claiming him as his own.

”I have dreamed of this day, dreamed of this kingdom in ruin and you… you beneath me. Mine.”

Kaius sobbed at the feel of the cock inside of him starting to move again— this time slowly, leisurely, idly pumping inside his ruined hole.

”This throne has always belonged to me, little one, as you have always belonged to me.”

”Y-You…are a…m-monster.”

Kaius cried into the floor pitifully, spitting out each word as the Blood King butterflied more soft kisses down his spine.

”Mm, I am only what our father made me, sweetling.”

That made the prince still, his pained panting silencing for a beat as he took in those words.

“I was his first born son— a bastard, of course, my mother was just a young starry-eyed scullery maid— but since the queen had still failed to produce an heir after four long years of marriage… the king decided to name me his successor.”

The Blood King’s voice took on a husky quality as his movements started to quicken, grinding Kaius into the carpet as he sped up.

”…and then came you.”

Another thrust, a harsher one that had Kaius whimpering into the floor, trying not to clench down on the intrusion still carving it’s way inside of his body.

He had thought it was over, had thought at least this violation had come to its inevitable end… but the warlord just kept going.

“He thought he could just send me away— banish my mother and I with a purse full of gold and a robbed title to my name… discarded.”

The king moved suddenly, not even pulling out as he twisted Kaius’ body around until he was on his back, staring wide eyed up at the madman leering down at him as he continued to spear into his body.

”Wrap your legs around me— that’s it, good boy, beautiful boy.”

He drew Kaius into a hungry kiss, his strong hands pressing the prince’s delicate wrists hard into the floor as he swallowed every whimper, took ever cry with his lips.

When he finally pulled back, his eyes were wild, set alight by a dark desire that drained the last of Kaisus’ waning strength.

The prince didn’t know what to do with this, didn’t know whether to even believe the man. His father was— had been, a good and kind man. He always treated Kaius with the greatest of affection, which, with his mother long dead from childbirth, had been a very welcome course throughout his formative years…

And if this monster really was his half-brother…

It was too much. It was all too much.

”When I had finally grown to the edge of adulthood, I made a plan to travel to Roma and enact my revenge. A fool of a boy I was, but you cannot fault me for my eagerness.”

The Blood King’s voice had softened a little, his words almost wistful as he spoke, his hips never missing a beat as he continued to fuck Kaius like a pinned butterfly, hands still holding his wrists to the carpet in a bruising grip.

”My plan was to sneak inside the palace in the dead of the night when all were asleep… then slaughter you in your bed.”

Kaius gasped, his eyes going wide as he imagined the Blood King as a gangly teenager, with a blade in one hand and murder in his eyes, leaning over his child-self as he slept warm in his bed.

”Fortunately, though, things went awry. I was beaten and mugged when I took passage on one of the spice ships that traveled back and forth from the City of Asawroth. When I finally made it to Roma, I was left with nothing but a black eye and the clothes on my back.”

He paused in his musings to continue the exploration of Kaius’ body with his lips, humming thoughtfully as he captured one of the prince’s pink nipples between his teeth and flicked his tongue over the sensitive nub, making Kaius arch his back and let out a strangled hiss.

”By the time I arrived to the castle I was cold and hungry, and not one soul was kind enough to gift me anything more than a passing sneer.”

He moved to the next nipple, delighting in making Kaius whimper and attempt to struggle away from the searing tongue.

”Until I came across a sweet young boy, playing in a field of flowers.”

Kaius’ breath came fast as the Blood King continued, the warlord’s smile slowly growing as he saw the whisper of recognition in the prince’s eyes.

”You were wonderful, little prince, truly wonderful. You took my hand and begged me to play with you in the daisies, climbing into my lap as you chattered away about ladybugs and exclaimed of your new horse, Ka—“

”Karamine.”

Kaius whispered in stark horror, watching the king break into an easy grin.

”It took me longer than it should have to realise who you really were, especially with this lovely hair…”

He chuckled, one hand leaving Kaius’ aching wrists to tangle in his hair, fingers winding around the stray vermillion lock that had escaped his braid in the tussle.

”Beautiful… like fire.”

Kaius could only continue to stare wide eyed up at him as each and every word circled in his mind.

He remembered that day… he remembered that boy.

”You shared your food with me, let me drink from your canteen… and then you fell asleep on my lap, so innocent, so… trusting.”

The king stilled for a moment as he reflected on his own words, a strange softness seeping into his expression before he finally spoke again.

”I imagined strangling you right then and there, imagined my fingers wrapping around your tiny throat as I snuffed out your life… but… all that vision brought me was pain. My brother, my blood… no, you deserved something more than a life cut so short. You were born to be by my side. And I, well, I needed to become a man that would be worthy of such a destiny.”

Kaius didn’t realise he was crying again until the king leaned down to press his lips to each cheek, kissing away his silent tears with a quiet relish that had the prince’s insides twisting.

”So, that is what I became, little brother, and this is where your destiny lies. Beside me, and beneath me. My Blood Consort.”

The Blood King started to move again, thrusting hard into Kaius’ core, clutching him impossibly close as he fucked him for a second time, claiming him once more with his seed.

Kaius cried out his despair, too lost in it to realise the king was speaking again, catching just the tail end of his promise.

”—it will be better next time, sweetling, when you no longer fight me, when you accept your place.”

The gentle words birthed gentle actions, and soon the king was carefully pulling out of him, leaving the room for a short while before coming back with a damp cloth.

Kaius tried not to think about what was dripping from his still gaping hole as the king settled himself beside him.

He wiped Kaius down almost lovingly, gently trailing the cloth between his legs and over his thighs, cleaning away the brutal evidence of their coupling until only the ache was left.

Kaius drifted in and out, not even registering when the king stripped him of his last remaining rags and carried him to the large bed, before climbing in after him and curving his large body possessively over him.

The last thing he heard before he finally succumbed to sleep, was a hushed promise whispered into his ear.

”You and I will burn this world unto the ground, brother, until nothing but we and the ashes remain.”
