Work Text:
Izuku could pinpoint a lot of weird moments in his not so long life.
But this, this somehow was the top one.
He was just walking back home from a night of patrol. The sunlight barely peaking behind the tall buildings of the city when he got approached by a person that looked no older than 18. Izuku couldn’t even get a word in before they shoved a basket looking thing, covered in blankets into his arms and ran away. He would have run after them right away, if not for the fack that the object in his hands now was making small breathing noises and oh god he just got suddenly given a baby, didn’t he?
Yup.
The object he now identified as a carrier had a tiny baby thankfully wrapped in blankets, protecting them from the cold of the night, and a small bundle with a note on it. So he rushed back to his agency, and rushed to his office to process the encounter privately.
Thankfully, the note had the explanation he needed about the whole situation, even if it did make things way weirder
“Dear GreenBean.
I am a longtime follower of your SNS, and I didn’t know what to do. I can’t take care of Tsuki, and after crossing paths by accident while you were on patrol this was the only thing I could come up with.
I know it’s a lot to ask, but your work shows that you care a lot, so i hope you can do the best for Tsuki, whatever that is
DynaRyot.
(PS: I only IDed you thanks to my quirk, your secret is safe)
(PS2: Thanks for writing the last fic to canonize AroAce Dynamight, I meant a lot for me and my friend)”
What. The. Fuck.
Of all things that Izuku was expecting, getting a baby dumped on him because of his volunteering work on the OTW was not even on the list.
See Izuku prided himself on his work, be it as a pro hero, or as a volunteer, and his whole initiative to make the Hero related tags work as well as he did was something he was more proud of than a lot of his hero work, as his initiative to share some of the inner working of the Org with the public, but for that to make him “Emergency Baby Caretaker” fodder in the eyes of someone? Well that was a something he expected of his hero work, not his “All Smut Well Tagged” labour.
But here he was, a baby on his hands. His partners would probably not be happy, wouldn’t they.
They never discussed parenthood at all, what with being 23, on the peak of their careers and still figuring out things about their dynamics. But Shinsou would kill him if he didn’t bring the baby home and instead left them to the system, and Denki would fall in love instantly and oh god Izuku is a dad now isn’t he.
At least the kid is damn cute.
