Work Text:
It was a dark and miserable night in the Grimmwauld household. Sitting at the dining room table, Orion and Walburga Black were having a- not truly pleasant conversation, but a conversation none the less.
Preoccupied as such while having their dinner, the sound of wood slamming to the floor was very startling to the two, who looked over in alarm towards the door... which was no longer there, on account of it being...on the floor. Instead, a wide figure stood dressed in strange robes and what looked like the hollowed out head of a horse.
There wasn't time for them to observe much further, because no sooner had they looked than the person leaped forward to slam their fist into Orion's face, sending him crashing out of the chair he had just stood out of. He did not rise up again, clearly dazed and with a steadily gushing nose
Walburga quickly stood with a scream halfway out of her throat and a wand already in hand, but not quickly enough. The intruder (and by now enough seconds had passed for Walburga to actually register that beyond the shock) physically shoved the table into Walburga's stomach, unbalancing her and sending her to the floor.
This was enough for the intruder to make their way around the table and, by the time Walburga reoriented herself, line up to take a harsh jab at her temple. Just the one punch was enough to take her down.
The horse masked figure stared down at the two Blacks for a quick moment, strangely disappointed in how quickly they went down, then scoffed and made their way out of the room. Not long after, one would have heard the sound of breaking glass as the intruder escaped through a window, but no one was conscious enough to witness the escape.
