Chapter Text
“Hey, Jee? I have a question.”
“Hm?”
“You’re not entirely gay, right? You like girls too?”
“Yes…?”
“Okay, good.” Gang motioned to the television set. “Then I gotta know. What the hell is up with the boob obsession? Why is it every shitty American horror film has a scene where the girl flashes the audience? I don’t get it.”
“I think that’s less of a guy thing and more of an American one.”
“Anime.”
“I blame Americans for that too.”
“Likely story,” Gang laughed, leaning into Jee’s chest. ”I bet you’re planning to leave me for a pair of tits as we speak.”
“A pair of what?”
“Tits. It’s what English people call their Mommy-bombs. I don’t know why.”
“Well, I would never leave you. I doubt they’d talk real good anyway.”
“Oh, is that why you’re with me?” Gang smirked. “And here I was thinking it was all the other things my mouth could do.”
“Well, that doesn’t hurt.”
Gang giggled, and kissed him. Jee smiled into it, opening his mouth slightly, and soon enough they were making out on the couch, shitty film completely forgotten.
“You’re sure we’re okay, right?” Jee asked as Gang came up for air. “Your brother won’t walk in?”
“Please. He’s on a date with little Miss Sugar Sprinkles. He’s gone for the rest of the night.”
“You think they’ve done it yet?”
“Jee!”
“What?”
“The last thing I want to do is think about my brother right now. We don’t have Jo along for the ride when we-”
“Okay, okay, fair point. I’ll shut up…”
“Please do.”
They were halfway through the proceedings when the door opened. They didn’t even notice at first, too engrossed with each other to notice the set of eyes just gawking at them from the door. The man stuck in place as they started taking off their shirts.
“Mmmm… condom!” Jee suddenly shot up.
“Hm? Coffee table.”
“Here.”
“Thank… you… uh…” Jee stared at the unfamiliar hand. And the unfamiliar arm that lead up to the unfamiliar shoulder that lead to the unamused man before him.
“Hyeong!” Gang suddenly pushed his boyfriend off, and they each scooted to other ends of the couch. “You’re… home… early.”
“Came to pick something up. Who the hell is this?”
“Um… a friend?”
“Gang, I don’t want semen on the furniture.”
“CHOE!”
His brother rolled his eyes and looked past him, extending a hand to Jee on the couch. “Ji Ma-choe,” he said dryly.
“Go Jee-do. Put ‘er there.”
“Go? Do?” He cut his eyes at his brother. “You brought one into my house?”
“We went over this! It’s a common name!”
“I knew about the last name, not…” Choe looked at Jee. “You know a ‘Seon’ by any chance?”
Jee’s eyes darkened. “Please don’t say that name again.”
“Oh, so you are related?”
“Cousins, unfortunately. He was a bastard and a blood traitor and I hope he rots in whatever hell was waiting for him. Thank whatever’s out there he’s dead.”
“… I changed my mind,” Choe said. “You can keep him.”
Gang weakly pumped his fist. “Hooray…!”
“For, uh, the record…” Jee snapped his fingers, looking for words. “I’m sorry for whatever he did to you.”
“My little brother probably told you everything. Gory details and all.”
“Hyeong! I would never.”
“He didn’t. Just said you were captured. But I can read between the lines.”
“Yeah, well…” Choe sighed. “Wouldn’t be fair to pin all that on you.”
“Still sorry. If it helps, he wasn’t just a dick to you.”
“Ah.” Choe nodded. “I can… I can read between the lines too. I’m sorry about whatever happened there.”
“Thanks.”
Awkward silence for a moment.
“Actually, if you wanted, um, I did have a few questions. You don’t have to! But my brother and I are, uh…”
“Jee and Jo are making a cartoon,” Gang cut in. “Sort of using animals as a stand-in for… various groups.”
“Gang mentioned you busted out. I was thinking I could use that for… inspiration.”
“Fuck no! I don’t like to think about-”
“They need some inspiration for the rebel leader.”
“Well… in that case…” Choe coughed. “Give him both legs.”
“Are ya sure? We kinda wanted to do something with the disability angle.”
“Use someone else then. If you write me, I want both my legs.”
“Maybe you could remove an arm?” Gang suggested.
“No arms.”
“What about the tail? The character’s gonna be a mouse, we think, so…”
“Fine. Sure. Whatever. Write me without a tail… and… I can talk later, if you want. For right now…” Choe grabbed a condom and put it in his pocket. “Kinda have something to…”
“Right. Of course.”
Choe nodded, gave Gang a thumbs up, and walked out the door.
“… So…”
“Jerk with a heart of gold.”
“Are you talking about the character or my brother?”
“Hm… how about…” Jee brushed Gang’s hair out of his face. “… we forget about them both and continue with what we were doing?”
“Mmmmmkay.”
