Chapter Text
Cody looked around the set, bewildered. This wasn't the Steel Samurai set. He didn't know how he'd gotten there, but somehow, he was on the set of another, vaguely-Japanese themed TV show.
"No way..." he gasped with horror. "Is this the Jammin' Ninja?" The bright red guitar on the ground confirmed it. "NOOOOO!!!!"
One of the actors heard him and came running. "Hey kid, you're not supposed to be here," he said. It looked like it was the Jammin' Ninja himself, Juan Corrida. Cody HATED Juan Corrida.
"I hate you," Cody told him, and kicked him in the shin. "The Jammin' Ninja is
way lamer than the Steel Samurai!"
Juan just laughed off the attempt to kick his shin. He was still wearing his (surprisingly protective!) costume armor, so all it did was rattle the metal a little.
"Now, don't you think it's a little bit silly to compare us in the first place, kid?" he asked. "I mean, we have totally different duties in the vaguely defined universe of Japanese-based 'American' live-action shows. The Steel Samurai has to defend an entire city, while I..."
He trailed off. "I... uh... you know what, I'm not even sure what the Jammin' Ninja does. To be honest, I think this entire show is just a gateway to me having some kind of pop music career."
Cody raised an eyebrow. What did this 20-something's mental crisis have to do with the Steel Samurai?
“Whatever this is lame. I hope you don’t have any deep dark secret to expose which will cause your eventual murder. Trust me, been there, done that,” Cody crossed his arms, “Anyway, gotta go. Even with ten limited edition Steel Samurai cards they wouldn’t be able to bribe me into a confession this time.”
Before he goes, Cody turned back for the last time.
“Oh yeah and watched out for the Blue Spiky guy”
