The Bachelor versus The Gays

Summary:

“I’m Vi, the pleasure is all mine” she took the slender hand of the piltie goddess named Caitlyn, brought it to her lips and kissed the back of it like a knight in shining fucking armour. How ridiculous was she? Really, how much worse was this possibly going to get?

Caitlyn did not seem to mind apparently, because that gap-toothed smile was back and Vi felt like she had just been transformed into a puddle by how sweet this woman looked.

“I saw you weren’t offered any champagne yet” Caitlyn – the sweetheart – held up two glasses, handing one to Vi and keeping the one she had already been drinking from.

“Thank you” Vi held up her glass as Caitlyn did, glad to see that her hands were not trembling as much as she felt they were, and she gently pushed the glass against Caitlyn’s. Another grin found its way back to her face when her grey eyes met Caitlyn’s stunningly blue ones. “To one hell of a season”

“I’ll drink to that” her grin was reflected in an almost flirtatious way by the Piltovan beauty standing across from her. “To one hell of a season"

Chapter Text

“Welcome to a new season of The Bachelor. This year, it’s bound to get crazier, hotter and more surprising than ever before.

Twenty women from all over Runeterra have been invited to stay in our luxury villa – should they survive the first elimination – and compete for the heart of Piltover’s man of progress, Jayce Talis.”

(Cue shot of Jayce Talis walking down the driveway of the mansion with a single red rose in his hand)

“After my years of hard work to get where I am today, I can safely say I am ready for – what might be – the wildest ride of my life” (cue another shot of Jayce offering the rose to the camera)

“Not everyone is off to a great start with our man of progress”

(Cue shot of Vi glancing into the camera during, what appears to be, a personal interview)

“Jayce is a literal himbo, I could bench-press that guy without actually putting in any effort”

“Though he manages to leave a lasting impression on some of the women”

(Cue shot of Caitlyn during a personal interview, glancing just beside the camera)

“I don’t think I’ve felt this way about anyone before”

“Each week our bachelor will eliminate one or multiple women to leave the villa, until just one of them is left, in the ultimate search for love. Will he succeed in his search for the one?”

(Cue shot of Jayce whispering something in Elora’s ear. Harsh cut to Jayce in a personal interview, sighing as he rubs his hand over his face. Harsh cut to Jayce and Caitlyn walking down the beach, a zoom in as he takes her hand)

“Or will he leave with a broken heart?”

(Cue Jayce looking flabbergasted, broken rose in his hand as he stares in horror at the scene before him)

“Find out in this season of… The Bachelor, airing March 24th only on Runeterra Ultimate.”

“POWDER”

Thundering feet, that almost carried themselves faster than Vi could move, ran up the stairs of the small apartment that she shared with her blue haired little shit of a sister. She wasn’t always a turd, but in this instant she most certainly was.

It took the slam of a door and click of a lock for Vi to realise that her sister had locked herself in her bedroom, a great way to get herself punched in that scrawny little neck of hers.

Vi slammed her fists on the navy blue door that carried a very specific warning sign saying Powder’s room of genius, do not enter. Ever. Especially not if your name is Vi. (Ekko has a free pass).

“POWDER” she called out once again as she felt the hinges of the door shake under the strength of her fists when they slammed on the door yet again.

“Whatever it is you think I did, I didn’t do it”

“Yes you fucking did” Vi called back to her sister, her seething anger settling slightly when she realised that Powder would never leave her room if she kept slamming her fists on the door. The one fist that was still pressed against the navy blue wood slowly ran down the surface of the one thing that separated her from her sister.

A pained silence fell as a sigh escaped her lips and her forehead found the door. What a fucking shitshow this was, and it was not even noon. Usually she lasted longer than this until she got the inevitable urge to strangle her sister. In a very loving way of course. As sisters did.

“Are you ready to talk like a normal fucking person, or are you going to grab my neck the second I open this door?” Powder called out to her.

If looks could kill, it was certain that Vi would tumble backwards off the stairs in the midst of a heart attack because Powder looked as angry as Vi did the moment she opened the door.

It was Vi who spoke first, once the obstacle of the door between them was out of the way. “I am going to fucking kill you”

“I KNEW IT” Powder cried out as her hands immediately moved to close the door yet again but Vi’s foot was faster than Powder’s reflexes. It earned her a very crispy burn on the right side of her left foot as it got stuck between the door and its frame. For a girl that small and skinny, Powder possessed more strength than one often thought.

Vi’s strong hand pushed the door open as she made her way inside and held up the paper that had started the absurd flare of rage. “What the fuck is this?”

Powder’s blue eyes narrowed slightly as she stepped forward and took a better look at the paper Vi was holding up. Or better, the contract.

When Vi had gone to get their mail that morning, the last thing she expected was to find a letter from Medarda Television Productions in their discouraging pile of bills. Let alone a letter like that addressed to her.

“Oh, it’s your contract. Good, I was beginning to think it would never come. Production begins in a week, I think?”

Vi’s head was spinning. It was fucking spinning in all colours and shapes as she tried to control the new outburst that was bubbling up inside of her. Grey eyes narrowed slightly as she took a step forward, taking it up face to face with her little sister who held up a very brave face for someone who was about to get punched in the face.

“What contract?”

Powder simply gave her a little tilt of her head and a soft pout – the one face that could make Vi see red – and answered the words Vi dreaded hearing “for The Bachelor of course”

You signed me up for The Bachelor?!”

“I thought you knew, I told you my birthday gift to you was a chance to become a star on tv!” oh the ever-so innocent tone in Powder’s voice was enough for Vi to crumble the contract in her fist as she looked down at her little sister.

“When you said you had signed me up for a tv show, I figured you meant Survivor or some shit like that! Not a fucking show where pretty girls fight for some asshole guy who is going to cheat on them the second the show is over!” Vi could feel her nostrils flare with rage as Powder did not seem to realise the severity of the situation just yet.

Her head tilted the other way “listen sis, I figured I’d be doing you a favour by getting you into the reality tv world and maybe scoring you a hot guy in the process”

“In what fucked up dimension would I want any of that?!”

Powder gave her that you’re kidding me right? You’re fucking kidding me, right? look, before sighing like a soccer mom that had just seen her kid get kicked over for the third time about ten minutes into a game, and she pulled out her phone.

“This is you, you big idiot” as Powder turned her screen she saw her own Instagram page shining off the phone that Powder’s blue-pink nails were clawed around.

“Don’t fucking talk to me like I am a toddler who does not know how Instagram works” Vi’s immediate response bounced back as Powder rolled her eyes.

“I was literally the one who had to explain to you how to go live, but whatever” one of her pink nails pointed at her following count, as though it was so fucking obvious what she meant with that. “You have 6k followers, which is decent but a ridiculous loser amount if you compare it to other gym bros”

I am not a gym bro

Another raised eyebrow from Powder “whatever dude. Anyways, this show is full of idiots who will follow any hot girl on social media the second she appears on tv. So, you can grow you Insta, get some brand deals and get us a better apartment. You know, something where we do not each have five minutes of hot water to shower before it completely cuts out”

Vi’s arm slowly lowered during Powder’s small speech of fuckery. Her grey eyes widened in disbelief as she realised that her sister might just be actually insane or the genius she always claimed to be.

The one thing that sucked about not being out of the closet was the fact that Powder had no idea that a show where she had to fight for the attention of a guy was her absolute nightmare. Though – Vi’s head perked up slightly at the idea – it would certainly not be punishment to live in a luxury villa with other women for weeks.

Her mood immediately went sour though, when she realised that these women would all be very straight and very focussed on getting the attention of whatever fucker they had popped up on steroids for long enough to actually get him to perform on their ridiculous show.

“Can’t admit that I’m right, can ya?” Powder’s smart mouth was certainly pushing her, but Vi managed to keep her tendencies for violence to a minimum. Which was a real accomplishment if she said so herself, especially with that slimy shit smile Powder was currently giving her.

“You’re forgetting one thing dipshit” Vi answered her little sister “I am not the type of woman people want on that show. They want types that look like Paris Hilton or some shit”

“Really? Paris Hilton? Have you ever even watched this show?”

“I do not look like a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Powder”

“Paris Hilton is not a Dal-“

That is not the point

“Look sis” Powder’s eyes went to her phone again. That girl had an oddly fast way of typing that surprised Vi time and time again. For some reason her fingers moved faster than Vi could even think and, before she could make a shitty comment about it, Powder held up her phone again.

“This was what they posted when they were looking for new candidates. This year’s bachelor is Jayce Talis. I would say he is your type but I have never seen you date a single person on this planet so I actually have no idea who your type is. Doesn’t matter really, he’s loaded and handsome”

“Handsome to someone who just had a brain aneurysm” Vi’s mouth mumbled before she could think of what she was saying.

Anyways” another glare from Powder “they are saying that Jayce is looking for a diverse group of women and he does not have a certain type. Like literally all nationalities, all ethnicities, all looks, anything”

“Why does the name Jayce Talis ring a bell?” Vi’s brains spun for a moment as her eyes narrowed slightly and she tried to think of why that name sounded so oddly familiar.

Her eyes narrowed again and found her suspiciously quiet sister when she realised where she had heard that name before “he is a Piltie isn’t he”

“That depends on how you define Pilt-“

“He is that fucking guy whose face is all over Progress day every year with one of his new inventions. O my god, we hate that guy!” Vi would laugh if the situation was not as ridiculous as it currently was.

“I think hate is very strong word-“

“You have literally spray painted dicks on those posters with his face on it” Vi dryly stated as her sister’s face was turning a rather satisfying shade of red.

Powder gasped slightly “I just wanted to help us to a better life! Is that such a terrible fucking thing to want?”

“You just want unlimited shower time”

“Is it too much to ask for 30 minutes of hot water when I shower? Have you seen how long my hair is?!” to put a little more drama to her words, Powder held up her two floor-length braids and swatted Vi in the face with them.

Vi’s fist immediately clasped around one of them – if she wasn’t her sister she would have cut them off right there and then – and gave her a warning glare.

“I’ll think about it. But if you whisper another word about it, I will not be going on this show.

“Yep, sure, got it. My lips will not spill another word about The Bachelor”

Of course Powder had not shut up about the entire fucking thing the second Vi had stepped out of her door. She had immediately told the entire family that Vi was going to be on television, competing on The Bachelor.

Competing felt like too fancy and big a word in Vi’s opinion. She would be going on that show to gain the followers she wanted and probably get kicked off the second this Jayce guy laid eyes on her. There was no fucking way this was going to end the way Powder was envisioning it would.

Vi realised she had made a big mistake about 0.43 seconds after arriving on set. She had been picked up in an obscenely fancy car – one of those things she and Powder used to carve vulvas into with their keys when they were younger – and driven to the location where she would be spending the next several weeks. Or just until she was eliminated.

After signing her contract she had received an amount of rules that made her want to quit instantly. This really was not worth all the followers if she had to follow the 30 page rulebook sent to her by Medarda Television Productions. Unfortunately, she had already signed her contract and there was no other way out than to get eliminated by the man of progress himself. Perhaps Vi would puke on his crisp little expensive suit the second she saw him and be sent home immediately. That would make the headlines for sure and make her weeks of misery last as long as she liked it, short.

She just had to keep reminding herself that she was doing this for Powder and the brand deals that would eventually get her a better apartment. Still, the second she set foot outside the fancy car, her first response was to hop on the first train home to Zaun.

The large studio - that screamed ridiculously fancy and insanely over the top – was looming over her like she was about to be swallowed whole. This was a terrible, terrible idea. She cursed Powder and her ridiculous plans once again as the driver took her two duffle bags from the back of the car. She shot forward the moment he wanted to put them down and she grabbed them – rather aggressively – from the man who was simply trying to do his job.

“Yeah uhm, thanks” Vi simply told the guy when he gave her a disturbed glance. She wasn’t used to people taking her luggage out of the car without the intend to steal them. God, she really did not fit in here.

Just as she was about to make a U-turn to the nearest bus station and call Powder to tell her she would rather die than set one foot in that studio, she heard her name being called.

“Violet Johnson?”

Her grey eyes peered through the crowd of people surrounding the studio. Some carried lamps, cameras and other equipment that Vi, for the life of her, would not be able to name. Then she noticed a rather sweet looking young woman call her name again, raising her hand in desperation as she ran up to her on heels way too high and a clipboard far too large for her hands. Her glasses slowly slid down her nose as she arrived at the spot Vi was rooted to, panting and all.

“You’re Violet, right?” she gasped for air and Vi noticed a small droplet of sweat run down the side of her face. Shit, had they been making her run all this way for her? Must’ve known she was planning to flee the scene then.

“It’s just Vi” she corrected her and glanced down at the clipboard the woman was holding. It was made up of a bunch of names that were scribbled down, some crossed and some underlined. Her name was 13th on the sheet – she would’ve looked at the other names as well if the woman had not immediately pulled the clipboard from her line of sight as soon as she spotted her curious glance.

“Well, just Vi then” the woman seemed to have finally caught her breath. “I’m Sky, Miss Medarda’s personal assistant”

“Nice to meet you” oh that smile felt so terribly fucking forced that it made her feel like her teeth might fall out. How was she going to keep this up for weeks?

She was about to ask who Miss Medarda was, though she figured she was some hot-shot who ran the place since she bore the last name that was plastered all over every surface of this godforsaken studio, when Sky spoke up before she could.

“Please follow me, we haven’t much time before you are supposed to leave” Sky’s heeled feet turned around, with a speed Vi had not expected from a woman who walked so impossibly uncomfortable in heels, and started walking off.

For lack of anywhere else to go and no way to flee unseen now, Vi simply followed the woman and used her time to look around the studio as they made their way inside. An unexpected amount of people seemed to be working on this one show, it seemed, since an ants nest was nothing compared to the inside of the studio.

There was movement and commotion in every corner, it seemed, and wild gestures along with shouts flew around the space like it was the most common thing. As Vi lost herself in her observations, she was pushed into a make-up chair and two women instantly crowded her.

“For hair and make-up we were thinking of working with the whole ‘rough girl from the sewers’ look that you have going on” Sky had gone through several pages clipped onto her board and was reading something that apparently described what Vi’s image would be like.

“Excuse me?” Vi’s hands gripped onto the black fold chair that she had been forced into. As soon as one of the make-up artists made a move to poke her with a brush, she immediately slapped her hand away. “Sewer look? Look, I am proud of where I am from but I am not going to be portrayed on tv like some angry asshole from the undercity, just because you guys can make the most money off it”

Sky’s mouth formed a small O as she took in Vi’s angry outburst. It seemed she did not know what to respond immediately. Good – she was definitely not going to be the little scapegoat for this entire show to piss all over. If that was what this was about, she was gone right this fucking second.

In fact, she was already bouncing out of her chair but a hand on her shoulder pushed her back in her chair.

The second Vi whipped her head around, ready to tell off whoever had dared put their fucking hand on her, she felt her jaw slack slightly at the sight before her.

The woman in front of her was quite possibly one of the most beautiful women Vi had ever laid her eyes on. She carried herself in an almost regal way, her white suit perfectly tailored for her and her dark skin decorated with golden paint in a rather artistic way that Vi had never seen before.

“I was hoping you’d be as hot-headed as your introduction video” she had an accent - of course the hot woman had an accent.

“My- my introduction video?” she did not recall making any type of introduction video, unless… Powder. Of course she fucking had. “I’m having a black out, would you mind showing me the introduction to refresh my memory?” a wink followed her words but seemed to leave the dark skinned beauty next to her underwhelmed. Bummer.

She simply nodded at Sky, who retrieved an iPad from God knows where, and the assistant’s fingers typed as fast as Powder’s usually did before handing her the screen.

The first thing Vi saw was herself as she was sparring in the gym. She had simply been warming up for a class she would probably be teaching a bit later, nothing special. The shot zoomed in on her as she was punching into a boxing ball, a look of concentration on her face as her fists worked automatically. Small droplets of sweat dripped down her forehead as she worked on getting ready for her class.

How had Powder even managed to sneak in, hide and film her from such a great angle? Vi’s chest puffed a little, her lips letting out a little huff as the short video continued and showed her with her friends at The Last Drop. She’d obviously been telling a killer story, because they looked like they were hanging on to her every word.

Then it cut to the video that Vi had been fearing the entire time she was watching her introduction. Powder had told her that she needed to practice for a journalism class she was taking – one of the assignments including a practice interview with someone she knew well. So she had asked Vi, and being the great sister that she was, she had agreed to do it.

Fast forward several months and she was looking at her own stupid face who thought it was a simple interview for a class Powder was taking at her fancy University that cost way too much money.

“Hi, I’m Vi, 24, grew up here in Zaun and sort of stuck around for lack of better places to fuck around” a little grin was directed at the camera, grinning as she knew that Powder hated it when she played around during serious assignments.

“I share a place with my little sister, Powder. I work as a boxing instructor and you can usually find me messing about in the gym” the video cut to another part of the interview. The question Powder had asked, about growing up in Zaun, had been cut out and it went straight to Vi’s answer.

“I mean, growing up me and Pow did not have a lot. We moved around foster places when our folks passed until we eventually got taken in by Vander. He’s a really good guy y’know? Helped us out of the dirt when we were living on the street and it sort of saved our asses” Vi shrugged on screen, her eyes looking down at the floor as her mind was clearly occupied with the experience of what it had been like to grow up like that.

Another question from Powder was cut out of the video. It cut to Vi’s scrunched up nose and rather angry face as she answered a silent question from Powder. “We’re no fucking charity case, okay? We earned everything we have today fair and square because we worked our asses off, anyone who wants to give me a penny for free can shove it up their ass”

The video ended with a compilation of shots where Vi was seen doing different things. Some mundane – like the dishes or laundry. Some nice – like anything that involved her chatting to people she actually liked. Some hot as fuck, if she could say so about herself – like shots of her at different boxing tournaments and teaching classes.

Vi hated to admit it, but she was actually impressed by the video. Her sister done a more than decent job of showing different sides of her and she looked good. Only thing that sucked balls about this video was the fact that her sob story was now out for the world to see. They were definitely going to use this for some sort of introduction and Vi was not looking forward to that. Plus, she was stuck with the sewer stereotype now. Not fucking cool.

“I meant what I said” Vi huffed as she roughly handed the iPad back to Sky “I don’t want pity or charity, so you can cut that part the fuck out”

The woman – who had yet to introduce herself and was clad in that incredibly well-fitting white suit – merely chuckled and glanced at Sky “make sure to do something to that editing Sky. Have Viktor take a look at it”

Sky nearly fucking curtsied when she was spoken to by this gorgeous woman “of course Miss Medarda”

So this was the famous Miss Medarda of whom Sky seemed to kiss the ground she walked on.

“Medarda huh? You from the company then?” Vi took a good look up and down and decided that this woman was so far out of her league she definitely should not even try. Still, a wink never hurt anyone.

“Mel Medarda, I am the producer of The Bachelor. I’ve been running this show for the past nine seasons, but we are planning on this tenth season being our most spectacular yet”

Normally, Vi hated these types of women. They knew their power far too well and were far too smart in using their good looks to their advantage if they wanted to. Yet something about this Mel was calling for Vi to respect her. She hated it. No one earned respect like that, not where she was from, but in a setting like this she had no choice.

“I’m Vi” the woman already knew her name, of course, but it felt only natural to introduce herself. “How are you planning on making this such a spectacular season?”

Vi’s refreshing bite seemed to have an effect on the producer, since the woman chuckled yet again. “First of all, we have different types of women from all over Runeterra. We wanted a rather diverse combination for this season and the audience loves it when everyone is a certain ‘type’, which is what Sky tried to explain to you before you almost tore her head off”

“Look Mel, can I call you Mel?” Vi found herself grinning her famous lopsided grin – Mel was lucky because she usually saved that grin for pretty ladies in dark corners of a nightclub – and she slowly sat back down in her make-up chair.

Mel nodded “of course”

“Grand” a slight lick of her lips, glance directed upwards towards the eyes of her producer, and then her grin fell slightly “my selling point can be anything but my orphan background, got it? We can make it about my boxing career, my muscles, my obsession with fresh smoothies or my spectacular charm all we want, but my past stays out of it. Capiche?”

Though Mel still seemed less than impressed, it seemed she was aware that Vi was serious about her conditions and she nodded. “Alright, I can work with that. We’ll make you the ripped gym babe, how does that sound?”

“Oh, babe? Really?” Vi’s nose scrunched into a feigned expression of physical pain as she hissed “think about that last one maybe”

Mel’s dark eyes told Vi she definitely did not play around and that she was in no position to be calling the shots – hot. “Get into make-up and hair. We have an outfit ready for you when you are finished here. You have about an hour before you leave”

In the event that it would sound absolutely fucking ridiculous that she would ask where they would be going, Vi kept her mouth shut for once and nodded as the make-up ladies were finally released on her.

It took her exactly 55 minutes – and an extreme amount of fussing over nothing – to get ready to leave. She took a last glance in the mirror only to come to the conclusion that she looked nothing short of absolutely spectacular.

The wardrobe lady had given up her fight of getting Vi into a dress rather quickly and yielded for Vi’s arguments for wearing a suit. Four suit fittings later she was dressed in a burgundy suit with a white blouse underneath that was unbuttoned far enough for her to show off the rack she sported. One that she did not think was that impressive, but a push-up bra really did work miracles and she looked both feminine and masculine in a very queer way. Great. Exactly what she was going for, gay and ready to fucking slay.

The slaying seemed to be a bit away though because she was apparently expected to take a limo to the villa, where Jayce the piltie Talis was waiting on the driveway to greet her for the first time. Powder had forced her to watch all seasons of The Bachelor with her and apparently it was a big thing where the women saw the bachelor for the first time.

As Vi got into the limo that would take her to the man she already knew had a very punchable face, Mel approached her and leaned down slightly to give Vi one last word of advice before she left.

“There will be three cameras around you to film every detail of your first encounter with Jayce. It is vital that you do not look directly into the cameras. Pretend like they are not there, just as you should do during the entire season. You’re there for Jayce and Jayce only. Here are your flashcards, memorize them before you get to the location. You are allowed to improvise slightly but stick to the context of these words”

Mel’s regal hand slammed the door shut after pressing the flashcards into her hand, hardly giving her a second to respond and leaving her speechless in the back of the limo.

The fuck?

Her eyes ran over the flashcards – which she immediately decided to toss out the window the second she stepped out of the limo. The flashcards contained a small speech with nauseating phrases like “you’re even more ripped than I am” and “I have been looking forward to this moment for weeks”. There was no fucking way she was telling a straight cis white man that he was more ripped than she was. That would send his ego to a level that even Vi was not able to humble him from with her venomous insults.

So she made some changes to the flashcards until she was happy with the result – happy being a small word for the absolute glee she felt at what she was about to tell this stuck up piltie – and sat out the rest of the ride until they drove up the driveway of an absolutely ridiculously large villa. She had never seen a place this huge in her life, let alone step foot in it.

She could see Jayce standing on the driveway, close to the front door, surrounded by three guys holding cameras and a few others who held microphones, fixed the lights and whatever was needed to get this show on the road.

Vi let out a deep breath, she was quite nervous for someone who did not come here with the intention of snatching the guy from the other women since she was… well a raging closeted lesbian. She was simply here to sit out the ride as long as she could, become some sort of reality show personality and gain a fuckton of followers.

All she had to do was make sure that she stayed a part of the competition, and Mel had said that people who stood out was something their were aiming for this season. So Vi would give them something to stand out of the crowd.

Her practiced, familiar smug grin pulled on her lips as she opened the door of the limo and stepped out. She slammed the door behind her and stopped for a moment, taking the guy – the bachelor, eyeroll – in for a moment before she let out a soft chuckle.

“Aw man, I really thought they would have dressed you better than me. Shame I pull off a suit better than you apparently do” she stepped forward while her smug grin turned into a playful one and she held out her hand. “I’m Vi, don’t wear it out Sweetheart”

Of all ways she had expected this Jayce to respond, she had not expected him to actually laugh and shake her hand quite strongly. “Vi, you’re a rather interesting addition I must say. I like you already”

“Don’t worry Pretty boy, I’ll keep the ladies in check for you so we’ll have all the time in the world to get to know each other” oh she sounded like such an asshole, but she had to somehow convince Jayce she was here for him – and not to turn every woman in the house into a lesbian.

Truth be told, that was not was she was planning but it certainly could not hurt. She wanted to have a little fun in the house and no one was filming in there anyways, so what was the harm in that? A little side action while she got to go home with tons of followers and her itch being scratched. What could go wrong?

Jayce let out another laugh and nodded “sounds like a plan, and I’d love to go over your fitness routine when we do go on a date. You are impressively ripped” Jayce glanced over the snug fit of the suit jacket around her shoulders and biceps and Vi flexed them a moment – just for him and the rest of Runeterra who was watching and looking for a lesbian to simp over.

“Why thank you” the smug grin was back on her lips as she glanced up at Jayce, why was the man this fucking tall? “I’ll see you later then”

“You definitely will” Jayce promised her with a wink, causing Vi to actively suppress the urge to gag right in front of him and the rest of Runeterra.

That was when Jayce did something he really should not have done. He stepped forward and pulled her into an unexpected hug. Vi’s reflexes immediately kicked in and her fist made contact with his stomach before she could even think about it.

Jayce doubled over as he let out a rather feminine yelp and Vi’s eyes widened when she realised she might have just blown her fucking chances at getting through the first elimination ceremony.

Fuck.

“Holy fuck, I am so sorry!” in a lack of knowledge on what to do when wanting to comfort someone you did not really like but had just accidently punched in the stomach, she simply pat his back. “You just came at me so unexpectantly man, I couldn’t stop the reflexes”

“It’s fine” Jayce coughed, his words barely audible as he got back up with some trouble “you definitely throw a good punch”

“Look I really just-“ that was when she saw another one of those annoying people with a clipboard, another assistant probably, waving from behind one of the camera men in a wild way – gesturing for her to just go inside.

“Right, okay well. Sorry and please don’t send me home for this” Vi quickly told Jayce, who merely gave her a pained wave in return and she shot into the house.

[#viforpres is now trending on Twitter]

One of the people waiting for her by the door escorted her inside and told her to follow the long, marble hallway to the living room on the end where the other women, who had already arrived, were getting to know each other.

The endless walk down the ridiculous marble hallway, Vi beat herself up about the fact that she was so fucking unhinged that she had actually punched the guy she was supposed to charm. If that wasn’t a testament to her sexuality, she had no idea what was.

Nevertheless, it was time to meet the other women who – without a fucking doubt – were full of judgement in regards to where she came from, what she looked like and the vibes she gave off.

The chatter coming from the living room at the end of the hall was enough to make Vi go screaming for the hills. This felt more like a sorority than a competition and if there was one thing Vi hated, it was sorority girls.

She had gone through a short phase in the two college years she had done, where she had fucked a bunch of sorority girls who wanted to experiment and it always ended up the same way. They all looked the same and all their names somehow ended with -ly, so she always got them mixed up. It wasn’t a rare occurrence back then if Vi woke up, called the girl named Lindsay by the name Carley and ended up having a fit on her hands because of it.

It just was not worth the trouble if those girls always threw a tantrum when Vi told them it was nothing more than a one night stand, something they had somehow always forgotten after a drunken night.

Here, however, she had to pretend that she was one of the straight girls. Something she never really did. Powder had been right, she never dated anyone. Dating was not for her, she hated the idea of commitment and actually having to care for someone who was going to leave anyways and only cause heartbreak in the end. And she was not upfront about her hook-ups, in fact she always hid them from Powder.

She had not really meant to still be in the closet by the age of 24 but it had just sort of, happened. Powder, like all of her family, was known for speaking without thinking and that resulted in some rather homophobic comments ever now and then. She knew Powder meant nothing with it, but it did push her back in the closet a bit. She was just afraid that Powder would look at her differently if she knew that she was never going to bring a guy home.

And she knew that her little sister had an unhealthy attachment to her, which meant that she got quite possessive when women tried to claim her – as Powder often stated.

Bringing a girlfriend home would undoubtedly result in a big fight and a very unhappy Powder whom she had a lot to explain to – and fuck, she just wanted that moment to be as far in the future as possible.

Another deep breath as she reached the end of the hallway, and took her first step inside the room full of straight women.

All she noticed for a moment were different coloured heads of hair that all turned in her direction at the same time. She usually enjoyed being in the spotlight, but this was far too much for a first fucking introduction. Not to mention there were 5 cameras surrounding the three couches that the women were sitting on from all angles. Two of the cameras focussed on Vi while the others remained on the women.

“Hi there!” a rather sweet looking blonde greeted her with a pearly white smile – one that could’ve easily blinded Vi if she had looked directly at it – and she gave her a small wave. “What’s your name?”

Vi gave an awkward grin, looking around the group of 12 women who had come into the villa before her. “Uhm hi, I’m Vi”

“Hi, Vi!” the blonde responded as she shot up and walked over to shake her hand “my name is Luxanna, but you everyone calls me Lux so I insist you do as well” it seemed she had done this introduction before because it flew out of her like the flashcards that Mel had told her to memorize earlier.

“I must say, I really love how diverse everyone is” a woman with white hair adorned with pink streaks – the type whom Vi was definitely not going to be friends with – quipped as she took Vi in.

That seemed to be the que for the other women to start talking again and pick up the conversations they had dropped the moment Vi had entered the room.

She felt slightly awkward – still standing in the doorway like a fucking idiot – and looked around to see if there was a place for her to sit on one of the couches.

That was when she spotted her.

To be fair, she spotted her ass first. A rather spectacular ass wrapped in a beautiful navy blue dress that left the flawless skin of this beautiful woman’s back bare. Vi could not help but stare as the glorious creature, by the kitchen island that was just in her line of sight, put down the bottle of champagne she had been using to pour herself a refill.

Then she turned around and Vi was struck with yet another aggressive wind of gay panic that clouded every one of her senses.

Not only was the woman gorgeous from behind, somehow she managed to look even better from the front. Vi really had always been one to prefer tits over ass and whoever this beauty was, was sporting the most fantastic rack.

Her tight dress fit around her tiny waist perfectly and amplified her tits perfectly, giving her a sneak peek of her cleavage that was not nearly enough to satisfy Vi’s sudden thirst to bury her face between those tits.

Her enchanting cerulean eyes seemed to notice Vi almost immediately, her look surprised at first but that quickly turned into a grin so charming that Vi instantly felt disarmed. Whatever fucking game she had, it was out the window in the presence of this woman.

The goddess made her way over, the slit in her dress revealing her impressively long legs that seemed to know no end. Vi was still gasping for air by the time this gorgeous woman arrived at the spot she was rooted to – a slender, delicate hand with long fingers reaching out to her – and she said something that completely went over her head.

Slightly dumbfounded, Vi picked her jaw up from the floor and slapped some game back into herself – she was an absolute fucking embarrassment – and took the slender hand in her rough, calloused one after accepting one of the glasses in the other.

“I’m sorry, what?” God, great way to make it real fucking awkward.

Luckily, her goddess laughed it away – by fucking God, she had the most adorable tooth gap Vi had ever seen – and shook her hand. “I said, I’m Caitlyn. It’s a pleasure to meet you”

A piltie. The woman was a piltie, of course she was. Luck could never be on her side so of course the woman of her dreams had to be a piltie.

What had she expected really? A woman like this did not grown up on Zaunite bottom, that was for sure.

So that was what she had been doing earlier.

SIX MONTHS EARLIER

PILTOVER

“No way”

“Cait please-“

“Absolutely no fucking way Jayce”

“Have I ever asked you for anything?” the pout on Jayce’s face was not serving him well in his quest for Caitlyn’s help. In fact, the urge to punch that pout off Jayce’s face grew with every second that passed.

Caitlyn’s expression remained neutral as she glared at her best friend “you have, actually. There was that time you wanted to copy my homework when we were 12, the time you made me lie to your mother about you bringing a wild turtle into the house when you were 14, the time you-“

“Alright, I get it. You can stop now” Caitlyn could not help but give Jayce her famous ‘thank you for letting me win’ smile.

“Look” Caitlyn let out a soft sigh, feeling slightly bad for her best friend – who she could practically call her brother – and she sat down next to him on his bed. “Why can’t you just decline? Say ‘thank you for the offer, but I’d rather kill myself’”

“Cait” a dry glare from Jayce was enough to make Caitlyn grin yet again, but her best friend merely sighed as he ran his hand over his face and let himself fall back on the soft sheets on his bed. “I can’t decline the offer. I am in way too deep-“

“I think the words you are searching for is that you don’t have the balls to tell your mother that you are gay and could not care less about being the next bachelor” Caitlyn’s tone slowly turned from annoyed to caring as she continued. “I know better than anyone what the tight grip of a parent can feel like. I’ve been there, remember? But you cannot let her dictate your life like this”

Another sigh from her best friend, who was supposed to act like an adult – seeing as they wer 25 years old– but was more so acting like a stubborn child. “My mother has been working on getting me on that show for years. It all started when I became Piltover’s posterchild for progress and has not stopped since. She works endlessly to make me successful and that is something I can only thank her for. I would not be where I am today if I did not have her”

Caitlyn let herself fall back on her best friend’s best with ease, turning onto her side so she could look at him as they spoke. She knew exactly what that was like. She had been in a very similar situation until she had decided to take matters into her own hands. It had not been easy – a real struggle was a better way to put it – but she had managed and she knew that Jayce could too. The one thing standing in his way was the fact that his mother had had her claws in him for far too long. It was almost too late for him now.

“I am just afraid you’re already in too deep” Caitlyn softly exclaimed as Jayce turned his head towards her and sat up slightly whilst answering her statement.

“Which is exactly why I need you Cait, you’re my best friend. You know exactly what to say to get into the selection of the final twenty women. We could fake the entire thing, make it seem like we are having a great time on dates and eventually I’ll choose you. That way, my mom will be happy and off my back and I can go back to a life that is… less about what my mother wants and more about what I want”

The look on Jayce’s face was one she had seen so often, one she was so familiar with and one he knew she was extremely sensitive to. He had this way of giving her a certain set of puppy eyes that made her want to say yes to anything he asked. What a fucking asshole to use those on her.

“That would be a great plan but you forget one thing” Caitlyn found Jayce to be as annoying as loveable in his current state and it made her blood boil. “We’re both very, very gay”

“So?” Jayce sat up further as he put more effort into his statement “we have been each other beards since we were what, 16 and you came out to me?”

“That was just for our social circle, this is in front of all of Runeterra Jayce! You cannot fool the whole fucking country into thinking that you are straight, you wear way too many bowties for that”

The last statement seemed to have hit a sensitive point with her best friend, whose pout grew slightly and did nothing to relief Caitlyn of the urge to slap him in the face. “I thought you said you liked my bowties”

“Yes, if I were a gay man over 50. I am a 25 year old lesbian who has never seen a real penis in her life and would prefer to keep it that way”

“We bathed naked together as kids”

“We are four Jayce, that does not count”

“THIS ARGUMENT MAKES NO SENSE” Jayce’s cry of desperation made him shoot up from his bed and pace around the room. For a man who made as much money as Jayce did, his bedroom was terribly boring and insufficiently decorated in Caitlyn’s opinion. She’d pestered him about it plenty of times but he had yet to hire a professional decorator to get the job done for him.

“The only thing that does not make sense about any of this is why I would do you this favour. I love you like a brother and I would do a lot for my friends, yet going on national television and pretend to fight for your hand in marriage is not one of them” Caitlyn decided in a final statement, her feet pushing her up from Jayce’s bed. Her mind was made up about the issue. There was a lot she was willing to do for Jayce, but making a fool of herself publicly was not on that list.

Her long legs strode towards the chair on which she had slung her denim jacket when she had entered just hours before. His butler had let her in and informed her that ‘Mr. Talis is upstairs in his bedchambers for unknown reasons and refuses to leave’. Upon further investigation, Caitlyn concluded that Jayce’s childish behaviour was caused by his mother’s insistence on him participating on The Bachelor.

Caitlyn had to admit that reality television was one of her guilty pleasures. She loved a good Friday night alone on the couch with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and an episode of Real housewives of Runeterra or Ex on the beach as much as any other woman did, but being a participant of one of these shows seemed like an outright nightmare. Hence her reluctance to grand Jayce’s wish.

Just as her slender fingers reached for her denim jacket, fingertips already grazing over the rose stitched collar of said jacket, her best friend spoke up again. “I hate to do this Cait, but I am calling in my favour on this one”

Caitlyn froze instantly, knowing exactly what this entailed. Her eyes found the man who would soon be on the other end of her rifle – if he did not choose his words carefully – and her nostrils flared slightly as she answered him. “You wouldn’t dare”

“Actually, I would” when Jayce put on his man-of-progress voice, she knew he was serious. “When I helped you out years ago, you promised me a favour that you were not allowed to decline unless your life would be in danger in fulfilling said favour”

“We were sixteen Jayce, obviously I did not think those words through. Nor did I mean them” the room was far too hot all of a sudden and the need for a denim jacket had long since left her mind. She could not believe Jayce dared pull this card on her.

Jayce took a step towards her in a rather brave attempt to keep the peace between them “you forced me to help you sneak a girl out your bedroom window and pretend to be your boyfriend because your mom came home early from a council meeting and almost caught you in the middle of eating her out”

“You don’t have to be so crude about it Jayce” Caitlyn winced slightly at the thought of her rebellious teenage years and how horrified she had been when her mother had tried to come into her locked room. She had knocked several times in demand that Caitlyn open the door or she would burst in with her rifle. In a state of panic, Caitlyn had called out to her mother that she had a boy in her room, to which her mother insisted on waiting outside her room until she would meet this boy that her daughter had locked in her room.

She had called Jayce in tears and explained the situation, simultaneously coming out to him as well since she had to admit what she had been doing with a girl in her room that required a locked door. Jayce had been come to her rescue after she had promised him a favour in return that was non-negotiable. She’d have to grand Jayce the favour, no questions asked.

He’d never made her return the favour and Caitlyn had thought – hoped more like – that he would have forgotten about it. Apparently he hadn’t.

Stupid fucking Jayce.

“Fine” she answered three sighs later “I’ll do it”

FIRST DAY OF FILMING

Making sure she was a part of the final twenty women picked for the tenth season of The Bachelor was not as hard as Caitlyn had suspected it’d be. Jayce had insisted on helping her film her introduction video, making sure that she said all the right things to get her selected for the show. He had been as annoying as successful in getting her selected, even though she was sure she would’ve done perfectly fine without his help. She knew him better than anyone, since they had practically grown up together, so getting the attention of the producers was a piece of cake.

Once Caitlyn had accepted the fact that she was actually going through with this plan, she had thought out the entire plan with Jayce. There would be plenty of opportunities where he was expected to go on dates with other women, and they could not make it too obvious too soon. Caitlyn would have to play into the public eye, make herself the beloved candidate who’d be shipped with Jayce from the first moment, all while Jayce would divide his attention but give Caitlyn little signs of affection. A hand on the arm when the camera was on them, a soft nudge as they were playing a game at the beach, those sorts of things.

A life in the public eye had prepared Caitlyn to play any role she was supposed to. As the daughter of one of the city’s councillors, she had been trained to live a public life. From the first interview she had when she was five years old, she had hated everything about the role she was forced to fulfil. There were endless parts she was expected to play – dutiful daughter, responsible heiress, beautiful gem of the party, intelligent law student, heterosexual marriage candidate – the list was endless.

And Caitlyn Kiramman had a healthy appetite for rebelling in her own way. She was smart, she knew that outright rebellion would get her nowhere with a mother like hers. No, if Caitlyn Kiramman wanted to be as free as her station allowed her to be, she had to play the part – but play it her own way.

Which meant that galas were attended without fail, but always wearing a dress tailored by a tailor picked by her own hand instead of her mother’s. It left her in the most scandalous of dresses – according to her mother whose opinion hardly ever changed on traditional matters – when in fact the most scandalous thing about them was the display of cleavage or her long legs.

She attended plenty of banquets that were meant for men of her station to look for a wife. It was as her mother expected of her, but somehow she usually found herself wound up in the library of one of the large estates she visited – with her face buried between the strong thighs of a beautiful aristocratic woman.

Thus far, Caitlyn’s small acts of rebellion had led her to a Masters in criminal defence law – another thing her mother had been strictly against, even though law school had been her idea – and now also to the set of The Bachelor, about to play her biggest role yet.

After parking her car in the parking lot of Medarda Television Productions, she took out her phone one last time before she would have to hand it in for the entirety of her stay in the villa. She scrolled through her anonymous Instagram for a last look at the new posts she had missed, and saw that her favourite account had posted something new.

Vilicious: Going on a little trip for a while. Can’t tell you any more than that, but you will be seeing me soon… ;) in the meantime, enjoy this last moment of ab-goodness.

Caitlyn giggled at the silly little ab related comment Vi had made. Granted, her abs really were spectacular. She was especially fond of the gym selfies Vi posted after her work out in her sports bra. That woman was a walking lesbian thirst trap and the comments underneath each one of her posts made that abundantly clear.

She thought about a clever reply for a moment before nodding as she decided on one. Her manicured fingers moved fast as she typed it out.

CCake: Sounds like fun, I’ll be patiently waiting during your leap of ab-sence ;) also, love that rainbow sticker on your suitcase!

Deciding that this post from Vi – that had left her with a small wet patch in her panties if she was completely honest – was the perfect goodbye to her phone and social media the next several weeks, she finally exited her car.

About three steps out of the car that had taken her to the studio, she was pulled aside by a rather anxious looking woman – who wore heels too high for her bad posture and glasses that were too large for her petite face – and told that she was expected inside. After the woman introduced herself as Sky, assistant to the producer, she was taken inside the enormous studio of Medarda Television Productions. Caitlyn had been there once or twice before, when her mother had taken her to one of the rare television interviews she had done, yet this time she was immediately taken to hair and make-up.

“You are number 5 to arrive at the villa and meet Jayce, you’ll be given flashcards with phrases you must memorize to… inspire you – so to speak – in what you could say to Jayce” Sky informed her. She dutifully went through the pages on her clipboard – Caitlyn noticed she was a nailbiter almost instantly and figured the woman probably had not seen a day without stress the entire year – before softly mumbling to herself when she could not find the form or page she was looking for, while the make-up artists worked their magic on Caitlyn’s face.

“I’ll be alright Sky, I am a childhood friend remember? There’ll be plenty for us to talk about” Caitlyn tried – a hopeless attempt to calm the nervous assistant down – and failed.

“Ah but you see, we need this reunion to be the spark of the introductions” a voice from Caitlyn’s left said and when she shifted her head, she was in the presence of someone who exuded the same sense of aristocratic power as most of high Piltover society did.

“I’m Mel Medarda, the producer of the show” the woman introduced herself as Caitlyn gave her a polite smile and shook her hand.

“Caitlyn Kiramman”

“Oh I know who you are miss Kiramman, with a surname like that it must be hard for someone not to know you” Mel teased gently as she looked down at Caitlyn’s tall frame, seated in the make-up chair. “We were pleasantly surprised to have you amongst our candidates, especially because you are a childhood acquaintance of Mr. Talis”

Since they knew each other so well – and figured that the audience was about two google searches away from finding out that they basically grew up together – they had decided to stick with the story of them being childhood friends. It was a sellable story for the show and a great first push to the audience to ship them together.

“I must admit I am rather excited to meet him again” Caitlyn smiled at Mel the producer in her best effort to keep the story believable “we have not seen each other in years, I can imagine he’ll be quite shocked to see me”

“Shocked and thrilled, we hope” Mel winked playfully before nodding at Sky “I believe my assistant has already explained the flashcards. They will be making a frequent appearance this season, since we want this to be our best season yet”

Caitlyn nodded as best as she could with the two make-up artists continuing their work – powdering her face rather aggressively while she tried to listen to Mel’s speech – and the producer continued at her nod. “Another thing that will be new is that we have installed cameras all around the villa, to make sure we capture every moment. Even between the women. The only places we did not hang any cameras, for obvious reasons, are the toilets and the bathrooms”

Whilst thoroughly reading her contract, Caitlyn had already spotted the new hidden camera surprise so it was less of a shock now that Mel informed her about it. Besides, they all signed the contract so there was no reason to complain about it now, they were on television after all.

“I read something about it in my contract, but thank you for mentioning it again” she was already in her role of the perfect candidate for Jayce and gave Mel another sweet smile.

Mel returned her smile “read the contract, very smart. Most of the women haven’t”

A soft laugh left Caitlyn’s lips as she closed her eyes for the make-up artists to start on her eyeshadow “I am a lawyer, reading contracts is a part of my job”

“Very well” though Caitlyn could not see Mel, the tone in her voice told Caitlyn that she was ready to leave. “I will leave you to the loyal hands of my team, memorize the flashcards and make absolutely sure not to look directly into the cameras when you step out of the limo. We’ll have to do another take if you do, and that will spoil the surprise effect and sincerity of the moment”

Caitlyn nodded – as well as she could with two brushes working on her eyelids – “memorize the flashcards and do not look into the camera, understood”

“Perfect, I will leave you all to it now but I will see you later” Mel announced her departure with these words and several moments later, Caitlyn knew she was gone.

Sky talked her through several more things that were expected of her and protocol that was vital for her to know. By the time she got into the limo, her head was swimming with information that had been pumped into her. Luckily, she had a bit of a ride to get it all straight in her head – ha, straight – and memorize the flashcards.

One good look at the flashcards was enough for Caitlyn to realise that it was a waste of memory if she were to memorize them. They were terribly cliché and certainly not something she could get out of her throat with any form of spontaneity in her words. Forgoing all things Mel had told her about how important it was for her to stay true to the flashcards – she once again found a small way to rebel in her dismissal of the cards – she thought of something that would make the audience swoon for her and Jayce in an instant.

Plan in mind, navy blue tight dress that showed off her best assets wrapped around her slender form, and high heels on her long legs, she exited the limo when they arrived at their destination.

Her best friend was surrounded by three cameras and several other crew members who took care of sound, lighting and other necessary means to make this the best entrance they could.

Caitlyn had to admit that the feigned look of surprise on Jayce’s face upon seeing Caitlyn, was not half as bad as she had expected it to be. A soft grin rested on her lips as she closed the door of the limo and took a step forward.

“Surprise” her grin turned into a shy smile “I bet you didn’t expect to see me here”

Jayce seemed positively flabbergasted and he started smiling bright after the initial shock seemed to be over “I can’t believe you’re here! You- you look incredible”

Caitlyn could hear in his voice that his last words were truly meant, and it made her little lesbian heart leap slightly to get such a positive response on her look from her gay best friend.

“When I saw that you were the new bachelor, I simply could not withhold myself from signing up” Caitlyn’s shy smile brightened as she approached Jayce and he pulled her tall frame into a large, familiar hug.

Jayce let out another laugh against her shoulder before they pulled away and he took another look at her, glancing her up and down “you have grown up tremendously, I can’t believe you are taller than me now. You used to be so small when we were kids”

“The heels so add a little more length” she joked, a wink sent in his direction. “I uhm, I always did have a little crush on you when we were younger… and we haven’t seen each other in so long, but I figured I would take the chance”

Jayce gave her the softest smile, one she would almost believe was real if she did not know him so well, and touched her arm for a moment “I am really glad you took that chance” his tone was so caring and sentimental.

“I’ll see you inside then, yes?” Caitlyn asked sweetly, her smile never wavering as she glanced down at Jayce and he nodded.

“Of course, I cannot wait to catch up with you Cait”

Thinking of the first time she had sex with a girl worked miracles if she wanted a blush to appear on her cheeks, so that was exactly what she did as she gave Jayce a final smile and then turned to go inside.

Step one was complete.

Now there were just about a million other – smaller, yet just as difficult – to complete and she’d be walking out with Jayce on her arm and her debt paid.

After arriving in the villa and meeting the four women who had come in before her, she was glad to see that there was a wide variety of women. It would be good to have some representation from all over Runeterra instead of the usual bimbos they had on this show.

Between the seventh and eleventh woman, she was pulled aside for a personal interview in regards to the meeting with Jayce. There was a small studio on the left wing of the villa that where two cameras were set up along with other equipment and a greenscreen with a chair in front of it. Another production assistant was waiting for her and introduced himself as Marcus, the man behind the questions in the personal interviews. Caitlyn immediately disliked him for the disgusting arrogance he exuded – arrogance that a only a straight cis man had the audacity to carry himself with – but she ignored her own prejudices and sat down in her assigned seat to answer some questions.

One of the camera men gave Marcus a nod when everything was set up, cameras were rolling and they were ready for the personal interview.

“So Caitlyn, what was it like seeing Jayce again after all those years?” Marcus started, thankfully a question she had practiced answering a dozen times at home.

Caitlyn looked straight at Marcus – as she had been instructed, because that way she did not look directly into the camera – as she answered his question “it was just as-‘

“Is” Marcus interrupted her.

“I beg your pardon?”

“It is nice to see him again” he tried.

When she did not respond but simply glanced at him, Marcus sighed with a roll of his eyes “we always speak in present tense in these interviews, since they will be placed between shots of your meeting with Jayce. So we start over and you speak about the encounter in present tense, understood?”

His manner of addressing her – like she was a toddler that had to be explained everything in a rather childish tone – was not received well by Caitlyn at all. She could already tell that if he kept this up, she would be messing up interviews left and right on purpose – just to spite him.

“So Caitlyn” Marcus said after clearing his throat and starting over “what was it like seeing Jayce for the first time?”

Caitlyn fell back into her role and gave him a charming smile as she answered his question yet again “it is marvellous seeing Jayce again. I have not seen him in years and this reunion truly is more than I could have hoped for”

Marcus nodded and asked another question “what was the thing that stood out most about his physique?”

“Oh his muscles of course. I’m a sucker for muscles and I love someone who looks like they can bench-press me” there were no lies there, she really was a sucker for muscles. Only those muscles were preferred on women.

“Cut” Marcus groaned yet again “please refrain from they/them pronouns, we are on heterosexual television – not the rainbow club”

Oh he was really fucking pushing it now. The childish tone she could take, but the homophobic comments were certainly going too far. She was about to give him a very well-spoken speech on why his homophobic tendencies were simply a façade for his deep self-hatred and insecurities, when she realised that she could not fall out of her role. She had to continue playing the party of the pretty straight girl who could care less about these sorts of things.

So she gave him another smile – one more forced this time – and nodded yet again “I apologize, let’s try again shall we?”

Marcus nodded but did not repeat the question and simply waved at her to start. Fake smile back on display and she spoke up again “I really am a sucker for muscles, especially when a man looks like he can bench-press me and I have a sneaking suspicion that Jayce probably could”

This seemed to be good enough for the production assistant and he asked her a last question “alright, please tell us some more about yourself so the audience gets a better feel of who you are”

“My name’s Caitlyn, I’m 25 years old and I was born and raised in Piltover, though I have a Piltovan mother and an Ionian father so I bring a bit of diversity with me” she was already regretting picking the part of the sweet, slightly perky straight girl, but she had to commit to it now. “I’m a criminal defence lawyer and in my spare time you can find me at the shooting range with my rifle”

“Perfect, that’s it for now Caitlyn. If we need more footage of you or something needs to be changed, we will call you back in” Marcus announced as he slapped his thighs and got back up from the seat he had taken across from Caitlyn.

She was taken back to the living room just in time for woman number 12 to arrive – and in time to notice that her seat on the sofa had been taken by one of the new girls – so she decided to get a fresh glass of champagne to make it easier on herself.

Just as she had taken the bottle from the kitchen island and taken a clean glass that was on display on the counter, she heard the thirteenth woman enter. Caitlyn did not bother turning around – yet she did decide to pour the new girl a glass of champagne as well - good manners and politeness were still a part of her – and her ears found the voice of the woman who introduced herself as Vi. Just why did that name sound familiar…

A few questions were asked by the rather enthusiastic Lux, who had approached her as well the second she stepped through that door, and then the women started chatting amongst themselves again.

Deciding to give the new addition to their villa a warm welcome, she turned around only to be met with the most stunning grey eyes she had laid her eyes on in all her 25 year. Vi’s face was the first thing she recognized. She could not believe she was standing a few feet away from the woman she had been practically stalking on Instagram for months. A million questions ran through her mind at once. How was she here? Why was she here? Wasn’t she like, very gay? Caitlyn never liked being one to assume someone’s sexuality and Vi had never publicly spoken about her sexuality, but the woman was a walking, talking lesbian thirst trap… Though, apparently Caitlyn had been mistaken in her assumptions. Apparently Vi was straight, if she was on this show.

She almost dropped her glasses of champagne when she took in the rest of her – this woman she had been loyally following for months - was everything she could describe as her type to a tee. She had to swallow hard in order not to let her jaw slack.

A full on lesbian panic attack exploded in her head when her eyes fell on the tight fit of Vi’s muscular arms and shoulders. This woman was the perfect combination of feminine and masculine and the type that Caitlyn would – quite eagerly, if she may say so – love to get to know more intimately.

Her cerulean eyes fell to Vi’s rather well-rounded tits that seemed to be just about the right size to fit perfectly in her hands – hands that were currently squeezing the champagne glasses so tight that they could burst any second if she did not do something now.

So her vacant, panicked expression was replaced by a small grin, ignoring every voice in her head that screamed at her that this room was full of straight women and Vi was one of them, and she made her way over to the woman of her dreams.

“Good evening” she sweetly purred as the woman – who, strangely, seemed equally as panicked as she still felt – merely stared at her. “I’m Caitlyn, you’re Vi right? A pleasure to meet you”

It took Vi a hot minute to register the words she was saying, apparently, and it made Caitlyn giggle softly at the adorable expression on her beautiful face.

“I’m sorry, what?” was Vi’s confused response after taking one of the glasses from Caitlyn’s hand.

Apparently she had been speaking too hushed or the screams of the women on her right had been a bit too loud when she had introduced herself, so she tried again.

“I said, I’m Caitlyn. It’s a pleasure to meet you” upon extending her hand to the woman who was currently making her feel more breathless than she had felt in quite some time, Vi seemed to come back to life.

“I’m Vi, the pleasure is all mine” the real surprise came when Vi – cue internal lesbian screaming from a certain very, very gay Kiramman – leaned in and actually kissed her hand. Vi Johnson – Caitlyn had done some research when she had first stumbled across Vi’s Instagram page – was kissing her hand. Caitlyn was sure that she was about to lose consciousness, and she would die a happy lesbian if the cause of death was a kiss on her hand from Vi.

A wide smile graced her lips as she looked at Vi, who was quite red cheeked as she got back up from her spontaneous hand kissing inuendo.

“I saw you weren’t offered any champagne yet” she even sounded breathless to her own ears – she blamed the feeling of Vi’s soft, warm lips, that still remained on her hand, entirely – and held up the glass.

“Thank you” Vi took the glass from her and had the audacity to grin at her – it was gay, the grin was very gay. She had seen that grin. She had grinned that grin. The grin was gay – as she pushed her glass against Caitlyn’s own. “To one hell of a season”

In an effort to save herself from the cameras only catching her full-on gay panic attack, she gave Vi another smile “I’ll drink to that” she responded as she brought the glass to her lips.

“To one hell of a season”

The fact that this first chapter is over 13k words alone is unhinged in my opinion, but I really wanted to deliver a beefy lil' start to our story.

Anyways, welcome to the unhinged bachelor AU. Until next time, my loves!
