Work Text:

Aizawa Shouta had been sleeping rather peacefully. Sure he was having a super weird dream that had a singing knife, a banana that actually worked as a phone, and a cat made of clouds trying to kill him, but none of that mattered. What mattered was Shouta was sleeping peacefully and soundly until some idiot decided to break into his house.

It was rather annoying actually, he’s had four people break into his home in the past two weeks (all of which were dealt with rather quickly considering he was a hero), and you can guess that he was not happy that there was yet another break in.

Shouta opens his eyes to a well dressed man with long, blonde hair staring down at him with insane, toxic green eyes. Shouta blink blurrily up at the man.

“Excus—” Shouta starts to speak but is quickly cut off.

“I just killed your entire family,” The blonde man states with an insane grin. His entire face was the pinnacle of insanity, the rest of him probably was too.

It takes Shouta a second to process what the man had said, horror slowly dawning on him. But it wasn’t because his entire family was killed, because, you see, Shouta’s entire family was already dead.

“All my family was already dead…” Shouta says wide eyed. “Who did you kill?”

“Well then, I killed the people you live with,” the blonde man shrugs as he stands up straight, he twirls a knife nonchalantly in between his scared fingers.

“I live alone,” Shouta says his horror is only growing the more this man speaks. He was not expecting to be dealing with a murderer when he woke up. “Who the fuck did you kill?”

“The people breaking into you house… question mark…” the blonde man says hesitantly.

“I wouldn’t be surprise, it would be the fifth time this week,” Shouta sighs.

“If you have had five different people break into your house in only a week, maybe you should invest in better locks,” the blonde man states.

“I was going to get it done this weekend,” Hizashi grumbles.

The blonde man snorts shaking his head. He stares at Shouta with narrowed eyes.

“How fucking old are you?” The blonde demands suddenly. “Because, last I heard, 14 year olds aren’t allowed to live alone or own their one house.”

“I’m twenty,” Shouta deadpans.

The blonde narrows his eyes more and leans in towards Shouta.

“Oh, yeah, you do look twenty,” the blonde murmurs. He straightens once more. “Sorry, the lighting makes you look 14.”

“That’s like, 6 years off,” Shouta states. “How could you get it that wrong?”

“I don’t have the best eyes,” the blonde shrugs. “Anyway… You’re kinda cute, wanna go on a date with me?”

Shouta stares at the blonde man in utter shock.

“What?” Shouta asks incredulously.

“Wanna go on a date with me,” the blonde repeats with a smile.

“Why would I go on a date with you?” Shouta demands. “You woke me up and told me you killed my ‘family’! Who would want to go out on a date with someone who does that?”

The blonde smirks, brandishing his knife in front of him. “Someone who doesn’t want to die.”

“I’m a Pro-Hero, what makes you think you could beat me?” Shouta asks as he finaly gets out of bed.

“Fine then, someone who doesn’t want others to die,” the blonde’s smirk grows sinister.

Shouta glares at the other man.

“So,” the murderer drawls. “About that date.”

Shouta’s glare deepens. “No.”

“How about this,” the blonde starts. “You say yes, and I’ll let you arrest me, if you wish.”

No.”

“I’ll add telling you my name into the deal,” the blonde offers.

Shouta takes a deep breath.

“If—if—I agree to go on the date with you, you’ll let me arrest you after the date? And you’ll tell me your name?” Shouta asks.

“Of course!” The blonde man beams.

“Then tell me your name now,” Shouta says.

“Yamada Hizashi,” the blonde says instantly. “What’s your name?”

“I’m not telling you that,” Shouta says flatly. “You get a date, that’s it.”

Yamada pouts. “Fine.”

Shouta sighs loudly.

/\/\After fourth date/\/\

Shouta stares Yamada, a completive look on his face. After a few more moment he sighs deeply, dropping his chin to rest on his hand.

“Are you okay?” Yamada asks, a worried look on his face.

“Aizawa Shouta,” Shouta grumbles looking away from the blonde across from him. “That’s my name.”

Shouta can see Yamada practically glowing out of the corner of his eye.

“It’s nice to finally know your name, Aizawa!”

/\/\Years later, after they get married/\/\

“Zashi,” Shouta says shaking his husband awake late one night.

“What?” Hizashi slurs sitting up sleepily. “What’s wrong? Are you okay? It’s midnight.”

“How the fuck did you end up marrying me?” Shouta demands, totally and utterly serious.

“I have no idea, but I’m one lucky man,” Hizashi states with a dopy smile that he saved for only Shouta.

“You’re a literal serial killer and I’m a Pro—Hero,” Shouta says as Hizashi raps his arms gently around Shouta’s shoulders. “This shouldn’t even be possible.”

“Are you happy?” Hizashi asks pulling back so he could look Shouta in the eyes.

“Well, yeah, of course! I wouldn’t have married you if I wasn’t,” Shouta says rolling his eyes.

“Then it doesn’t matter,” Hizashi states laying down and pulling Shouta down with him. “Now, sleepy time.”

Shouta laughs softly as burries his face in Hizashi’s chest, he drapes an arm over his husband’s waist.

“Okay,” he mumbles softly. He hesitates slightly before whispering. “I love you.”

“I love you too, sunshine,” Hizashi mumbles placing a gentle kiss on Shouta’s hair.

Notes:

This got a lot cuter towards the end then I planned, but oh well.

This was inspired by a tiktok, I believe the tiktoker was ivvvan2 or something like that.
