Chapter Text
Adam didn’t know what to expect from Harvard Graduate School of Witchcraft and Wizardry but he surly didn’t expect the dorms to look so non-maj, not after his years at Ilvermony.
But the Campus was shared with non-majs and honestly Adam was happy because he had been the first Wizard in his family and he was huge into football and he preferred non-magical sweets. Magic was great don’t get him wrong but he just preferred some things normal and going to Harvard was kinda just that, after all it was his Dads alma mater.
Still the dorms were kinda small but then the statue of secrecy was a thing.
He beginn unpacking when the door opend and a wizard entered his rooms, it was no question that this man was a Wizard and one that seemingly didn’t care about the Statue.
Adam didn’t know much about Wizarding fashion [he himself had always been a jeans and T-shirt kinda guy and only wore dress pants and button downs for Christmas and important meetings] but he knew that those were some expensive probably tailored robes the man wore.
The Wizard hadn’t introduced himself and actually turned his back to Adam and started waiving his wand in complicated patterns in quick succession. Before the Wizard had turned Adam had gotten a glimpse of his face, he had brown a bit curly hair, a straight nose and his skin was pale and if Adam didn’t imagine things then his dark brown eyes looked red for a moment.
His new roommates half of the room was now definitely looking better, the wall looked like it had been painted fresh and the kinda a bit battered bed was transfigured in a sturdy one out of a dark wood that shinned as if freshly polished.
Ok, so his roommate was probably a more talented Wizard then Adam but that was fine. Adam just wasn’t big into using spells beside to make his everyday live more convenient with an accio here and there, Adam did have a talent in potions though and would now be studying to be a potions master as well as getting a degree in chemistry - the best of both worlds.
Adam had just again found his focus in his own unpacking ignoring his new roommate like the other did when the door opened again.
This time a shorter male stumpled in the room while balancing three boxes.
Adams rude roommate (Adam would just call him ru-ro in his head from now on) closed the door with a flicker of his wandhand and then levitated the boxes out of the newcomers hand while signing:“ Harry, you are a Wizard. One would think you have forgotten you are one with how you handle moving.“
Without all the boxes Adam now got a good look at the newcomer and the man looked good, not in the GQ Modle kinda way that ru-ro was now that Adam also got a better look at him, no the newcomer was just kinda cute. He spotted a blinding smile with dimples and had unruly black locks one just wanted to run their hands through and the most startling green eyes. Unlike the ru-ro he had a tanned skin and was rather short. He also wore an odd combination of magical and non-maj clothes, he spotted jeans and a shirt but some golden design moved quite magically on the shirt to fast for Adam to see what it was and over it he wore an open robe like one would wear a coat and he completed his outfit with dragonhide boots.
„ Hi, I‘m Harry Black, your new roommate, I guess you have already meet our Dark Lordiness.“ the newcomer - Harry - gestured towards the ru-ro who aparently wasn’t even Adams roommate - thank god for that.
„ Ugh kinda, we haven’t gotten around to introductions. I‘m Adam Walker nice to meet you.“
Harry now leveld a hard eye towards the other wizard in the room. „ Tom, don’t be rude this is my roommate - someone you will see a lot this coming year.“ Tom - and that name didn’t really fit the imposing Wizard befor Adam- grimaced slightly and now for the first time bothered to look at Adam and said:“ My name is Lord Thomas Peverell, you may not call me Tom.“ Ok that fits a bit better Adam though Wait did Harry just mentioned Adam would have to see Peverell more throughout the coming year?
„ Harry, it is not to late to just get a permanent Portkey made and move back to the manor.“
„ But, Tooom, that wouldn’t be the full student experience now, would it?“
Adam didn’t understand why someone would choose to share a dorm instead of living in an actual manor but then again Adams other option would have been to apparate to-and-back to the University out of his childhood bedroom in Nevada.
