Marry Me

Summary:

People say marriage is finding that special someone you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

Suna thinks why get married when you can annoy that special someone without the hassle of filling out papers on top of papers.. not until some bitch comes along.. or maybe not?

Notes:

This is a drabble because my brain is confused, tired and unwilling to cooperate these days. I don't even know how I produced fluff (of all the genres out there) when my mind isn't even in the right place. Hope you still like it anyways. Much love..💕

Work Text:

"Marry me."

Osamu choked on the rice he was currently chewing and turned immediately to the guy who had his head resting on his lap. He flicked Suna's forehead.

"What's gotten 'nto ya?"

Suna winced, reaching up to rub the painful spot Osamu's finger left.

"Nothing. Can't I ask that?"

"I didn't mean it like that.. but why?"

Suna's narrow, glaring eyes blinked and turned towards Osamu.

"Why what? Can't I ask my boyfriend for 10 lame years to marry me?"

"Lame??"

"Yeah."

"Was it really?"

Suna scoffed and sat up as he popped the remainder of his onigiri into his mouth. Osamu just watched him, bewildered, and took a bite from his onigiri as well.

"What do you say, huh? Let's marry."

Suna propped himself on his hand to lean his face close to Osamu, invading whatever was left of his personal space.

"All of a sudden?"

Osamu pulled back a bit which made Suna pout and cross his arms, glaring at his boyfriend.

"You don't want to then?"

"No! I mean I want to but y'know.. not now?"

Suna's eyes became more narrow and his eyebrows furrowed. Osamu heaved a sigh, rolled his eyes, and moved to place his onigiri aside to summon his little devil of a boyfriend closer and into his arms. That proved to do the trick because Suna moved to get cradled by the said arms, his back against his boyfriend's chest.

"So you don't want to marry me even after 10 years already?"

"Wasn't it ya who said we shouldn't?"

Suna huffed and wiggled to get more comfortable, leaning his back into Osamu's torso. It was like he has pinned his boyfriend with his body, only allowing enough room so Osamu could wiggle into a comfortable position too.

"That's why I am the one who's telling you now that we should."

Osamu gave his hug a little squeeze before kissing the top of Suna's head.

"It's not like I don't want to.. but we just had sex then right after ya demanded me to make onigiris and now all of a sudden yer asking me to marry ya."

"Do I have to get on my knees then? I already did that for you a few minutes ago though, Samu.."

Suna craned his neck back to look up and meet his boyfriend's eyes. When he finally did, he wiggled his eyebrows and smirked at him making Osamu blush instantly.

"Yer unbelievable.."

Suna chuckled and went back to cuddling onto his boyfriend's chest with a sigh. Of course, Osamu didn't miss the disappointment in the sound of it.

"What's wrong? C'mon.. tell me Rin. I'll listen."

"I told you already.."

Suna wriggled until he was able to turn around. He buried his face frustratedly on Osamu's chest and hugged him tighter.

"What did that stupid Atsumu tell ya this time? hm?"

Osamu nudged him a bit to convince him to come out from hiding. He started gently rubbing Suna's arms soothingly up and down.

"It's not Tsumu.."

"Then? Who?"

"Kiyoomi."

Osamu paused.

"Sakusa-san?"

"Mhm.."

Osamu reached up to scratch his head. He can deal with his stupid twin brother but Atsumu's crazy boyfriend? No, thank you.

"What is it? What did the damn noodle head tell ya?"

Suna lifted his face a bit to nuzzle the crook of his boyfriend's neck. Osamu gasped a little especially when his skin there was still tender and bruised from love bites.

"After watching our match this morning.. you didn't go home directly.."

Suna moved higher until his lips were brushing onto his earlobes, sending shivers up Osamu's spine. It was distracting and he barely even caught what Suna was saying.

"Did you, babe?"

"Huh?"

Suna took a deep breath and pulled back, at the same time burying his fingers into Osamu's ash-colored hair to give it a sudden jerk, tugging his boyfriend's head back with it. Osamu should've been used to him being so unpredictable but Suna just always manage to catch him off guard. He looked up at him and shivered again when he saw Suna's devilish smirk.

"Kiyoomi saw you Osamu. No use in denying it. Who's the girl?"

Osamu stared at him in a daze. The grip on his hair was starting to hurt his scalp but he can't help but get distracted thinking how sexy this side of Suna is. So aggressive.. so dominating.. so-

"MIYA OSAMU."

With that Suna pulled harder, enough to pull Osamu out of his fantasy and finally see that the devilish smirk on Suna's face was now replaced by a frown, his eyes tinged with a little sadness and hurt.

"OW! What girl? Stop pulling my hair, will ya??"

"I'd only stop if ya tell me who the stupid bitch is!"

"Bitch? What the heck did Sakusa even tell ya?!"

Osamu reached up to try prying his boyfriend's claws off of his hair but he is adamant. He knew that Suna means serious business now, if not for that adapted Kansai dialect leaking out ONLY when he's 'mad' mad.

"He saw ya talking to a girl just outside the gymnasium!"

Osamu blinked as if the missing piece of the puzzle clicked into place. He took a deep breath and then to Suna's surprise, chuckled.

"What's funny, huh?"

"So yer asking me to marry because yer jealous?"

Suna's eyes widened and he immediately let go of Osamu's hair as if he was literally burned by his words. He gulped and rebuilt his defenses.

"Excuse me?"

"Yer jealous of that girl, babe?"

Osamu chuckled again while he fixed his now messed-up hair and grinned as he looked back at Suna confidently.

"So there IS a girl? Who is she? Since when have ya been meeting her, huh?? STOP LAUGHING! YA THINK THIS IS FUNNY, YA JERK?!"

"Hey.. Relax Rin."

"RELAX?!"

Osamu laughed louder and reached across to hold Suna even when he was swerving and pushing his hands away in frustration. In the end, he still managed to grab a hold of his boyfriend and pulled him back into an embrace because it can't be helped.. Suna can never resist him.

"Have ya calmed down?"

"Mhm."

"Good.. are ya ready to listen now?"

"Hmm.. Who is it? Are you gonna break up with me now?"

Osamu pulled back a little from the hug to look t Suna's face and indeed his eyes were filled with worry, almost teary. Osamu felt bad so he pulled him back into his arms and sighed.

"I'm not gonna.. never."

"Then?"

Osamu sighed again before letting go of Suna and moving to get something from the drawer of their nightstand.

"It wasn't my plan to give this t'ya while we're on the bed, fresh from having sex and half naked but.. guess I have ta now."

He went back to sling an arm around Suna's shoulder and he just watched him with a confused expression on his face until he saw what is inside Osamu's hand.

A black velvet box.

"Kami! Is that-.."

Suna's eyes widened as he looked up to meet Osamu's gaze.

"I didn't know what to buy.. so I asked that 'stupid bitch' aka Yachi a favor. She picked this up for me and gave it a while ago."

Suna smacked a hand on his mouth as he gasped.

"Yachi? You mean.. former Karasuno Yachi?"

"Uh-huh?"

"Fuck.."

Suna instantly turned beet red at the realization and buried his face in his palms, ashamed of what he did a few moments ago.

"Kiyoomi, that sneaky bastard! So that's why he was smirking when he told me!"

Suna groaned and Osamu chuckled, giving his boyfriend a peck on the cheek.

"Remind me to give him a gift next time they come over. It's really nice seeing ya jealous and flustered from time to time, babe"

Suna took his hands off of his face and made a face at his boyfriend before turning back to the box Osamu was now opening.

"If I knew ya wanted to marry me that bad I would've bought engagement rings instead."

"Eh? Then what is it?"

"Promise rings.. we've been together for so long so I wanted something to let people know ya already belong to someone."

Suna snorted.

"Cheesy.."

"Yeah.. well ya made it clear ya didn't want to tie the knot anytime soon.."

Osamu took one of the rings inside the box and placed it on his boyfriend's ring finger while Suna did the same.

"But I guess ya change yer mind now huh, Rin?"

Suna was busy admiring the ring on his finger so he didn't hear nor notice that he was talking to him until Osamu gave him a little nudge.

"What?"

"Ya still want to marry me?"

"Huh? No way!"

Osamu was taken aback at Suna's lack of second thoughts saying that when a few moments ago he was dying to make him say yes to marriage.

"But ya said-"

"I got a ring already Samu. You don't even have any side chicks and at this rate, with a ring secured on your finger too?.. We're good babe."

Suna leaned to give him a chaste kiss on the lips and stood up from their bed to go to the bathroom. Osamu watched him, almost literally having his jaw drop to the floor. He then shook his head and chuckled to himself before jumping out of bed himself to follow Suna.

Jealous Suna and him desperately asking Osamu to marry him was a refreshing sight indeed. And although it was great while it lasted, Osamu still love this man with all his heart, no matter if they are bonded by marriage or not.
