The sound of rain tapping on the windows, the tree branches scratching against the glass, the song Cigarette Daydreams blasting, this is all Winter could hear as she studies for her physics mid-term. Beyond being stressed because of her midterms she decides to take a short break after studying for three hours. Scrolling on Twitter she gets a message from her best friend Karina, Winter’s lips curled up into a big smile.
Karina: Hey are you still studying?
Winter: Yeah, but I'm taking a break
Karina: well open up, I'm in front of your apartment
Winter: WHAT
Just as Winter finished texting she heard knocking, Winter sprung up from her bed and hurried towards the door. She opened the door and was met by her beautiful best friend Karina.
"Hey" Karina spoke with a smile gracing her lips, "No more studying for you, I've brought over your favorite movie" Karina replied excitedly.
"But my physics midterm is tomorrow-"Nope, you're done for today, you've been studying all week" Karina interrupted and complained
"You haven't been spending time with me either," Karina said with a pout.
Winter looked at her best friend pouting, her best friend who she's had a crush on since middle school. "alright come in, did you bring snacks too" "yup" Karina said. Winter let Karina in,
closing the door behind her. Karina dumped the snacks on the coffee table, "you bought all of my favorite snacks" Winter expressed excitedly. Karina smiled at her affectionately. Karina put in winter's favorite movie, American sniper.
Winter and Karina settled on Winter’s velvet ivory couch. Karina layed her head on Winter's shoulder while snuggling up to Winter. The two had always been touchy and affectionate with each other. The two are so different from each other but hit it off so well, Winter being the school's council president and Karina being the party girl, yet they still got along with each other. They had this certain spark and tension both of them couldn't explain. Karina had developed a crush on Winter in her sophomore year in high school, Karina was a mess when she realized she had a crush on her best friend. She had never felt this way about anyone, but with Winter she felt this certain warmth, this longing of desire. Karina knows her best friend is beautiful, to Karina, Winter looks like a fallen angel so alluring and elegant. Karina loved everything about Winter.
Now, Winter fell in love at first sight. She admired Karina. She loved Karina's mole by her mouth, her low voice, and her sudden pop-ups at her apartment. Karina is like a deity to Winter, so enchanting and angelic. She wants to discover the world with Karina.
"Winter, hey are you watching the movie," Karina said interrupting Winter’s thoughts
"no, sorry I was thinking about something else" Winter stated
"what's going on in that pretty little head of yours," Karina said lifting her head from Winter’s shoulder
"Just thinking about my physics midterm" Winter replied with a lie and flustered from what Karina just said
"You're supposed to be watching the movie not thinking about your physics midterm," Karina said sternly
"Okay, okay, I'll stop thinking about it," Winter said
"good" Karina said
Winter thought Karina was going to put her head back down on her shoulder, but instead, Karina layed her head on Winter’s lap, internally gay panicking winter played with Karina's hair while also watching the movie, which only had fifteen minutes left. Winter has been wanting to tell Karina about her feelings but Winter doesn't want to ruin her friendship with Karina, she values Karina's friendship more than school, which is saying a lot.
When the movie is over Winter asks Karina to sleep over because it is too late for her to leave by herself. Winter doesn't want anything to happen to Karina.
"Of course, I'll sleep over, how could I not want to spend the night at a pretty girl's apartment" Karina teasingly replies, winter blushes
" hey stop being cheesy" Winter shyly utters
"no can do babe" if someone could see winter now they would've thought she was a tomato. Winter pushes Karina off of her lap while Karina laughs. "Come on, I have to get you pajamas," Winter says"aye aye captain," Karina says comically while saluting Winter
Winter giggles at the older one's antics "come on you goofball".Winter leads the way down her narrow apartment hallway, Winter opens her wardrobe and grabs Karina's blue pajamas. Karina had spent so many nights at Winter’s apartment that the younger one decided to buy pajamas just for the older one, and a toothbrush too. After receiving her pajama Karina changes in winter's room, noticing that Karina was changing right in front of her Winter couldn't help but stare at Karina, Winter was stuck in a trance. Not noticing that Karina turned around and saw Winter staring, Karina smirked, breaking from her trance. Winter sees Karina smirking. Winter blushes because she was caught staring. Karina laughs at Winter blushing, Winter picks up a pillow and throws it at Karina's face,
“Hey, that hurt," Karina says with a pout,
"hm, too bad," Winter says. After that whole fiasco Winter gets dressed in her pajamas. The two settle on winter's bed.
After settling in bed, Karina snuggles up into Winter’s chest. "Goodnight" Winter whispers, "goodnight" Karina replies. Winter tries to go to sleep, but she wants to confess to Karina, she's willing to take that chance.
"Karina" Winter whispers
"what" Karina answers
"there's something that I've been wanting to tell you for a very long time" Winter stated
"What is it?" Karina replies while turning on the lamp so she could see.
"I like you, like more than friends, ever since the day I met you, I've always felt this pull towards you. You're so beautiful, Rina, I want to spend the world with you, I want to cherish you." Winter says adoringly
Karina couldn't believe what she was hearing, the girl she has liked since her sophomore year has a crush on her, and Karina couldn't be any happier. "I don't care if this-, Karina lunges forward kissing Winter, pulling them both down on the bed, the kiss was so sweet, winter could taste the mint in Karina's mouth and her strawberry chapstick. Karina could smell Winter’s dark cherry and amber perfume, so sweet. The kiss ended, both of the girls leaning against each other's forehead
"I like you too, Win," Karina says sweetly, brushing Winter hair behind her ear
"I'm falling in love with you," Karina says
Winter smiled, "I'm falling in love with you too, Rina" winter adoringly says.
"Can I kiss you, again?"
"Of course, love" Karina says
Both girls kiss passionately, but the passion grows heated, Winter straddles Karina's hips pushing her against the bed's headboard. Karina trails her hand up Winter’s shirt feeling Winter’s smooth skin, Winter shivers at Karina's touch, Winter has been longing for this moment when she can finally feel Karina's touch. Karina trails her kisses down Winter’s jawline and then down Winter’s neck, Karina could hear Winter’s quiet moans. Karina enjoys the sounds Winter is making, Winter couldn't get enough of Karina, she felt like she was drowning in Karina's touch, Winter yearns for it. Karina continues down Winter's neck leaving behind little hickeys and goes to Winter's collarbone, while gently holding on to Winter's waist to keep her steady.
Karina switches their position, placing Winter under her. Winter pulls Karina in for a feverish kiss, wrapping her arms around Karina's neck. Karina breaks the kiss and leans down and whispers In Winter's ear
"You're so beautiful" Karina whispers affectionately
Winter didn't know how she got so lucky to have someone like Karina in her life, always showering Winter with affection. "I'm glad to have you in my life, I don't know what I'd do without you" Winter stated sincerely. Karina smiled fondly at Winter. Karina leans down and kisses Winter's forehead.
"Come on let's go to sleep, It's late," Karina says.
Winter fell first but Karina fell harder. They both couldn't wait to spend forever with each other.
