Chapter Text
AS TIME TICKS BY…
He looked out at the pouring rain; it was raining so hard that nothing was visible. He took a huge breath letting the coldness seep into his lungs. The air was unforgivingly chilly, and he still had one of his hands holding onto the window.
The rain… it brought forward so many emotions. Flashbacks of the past flickered through his pained-filled eyes. Single images and feelings that will stay with him. 'Time really stops for none,' he thought. The memories put a bittersweet smile on his face as he recalled what he had.
People disappear all the time. What you thought was an unforgettable bond can stray away with time. Taehyung was no stranger to the cruelty of time. It was a Sunday afternoon, 8 months since the end of that incident which has been imprinted into his mind.
"You are always with Jiminie nowadays; whenever we have free time, it is already booked with you and him."
"No, I am not complaining. I just wish you could take time out for me. At least even 10 percent of what you spend with Jimin."
"I am sorry, Kookie, but I kept calling and texting you. Even if I had only a minute free! How can you say that? You usually responded with a few words, which turned into one-word responses! You were then leaving my messages on seen! Then, you stopped texting back altogether! You know how busy I was with the filming on Hwarang and promotions!"
"So what does this mean… you don't love me anymore… you feel like we grew apart...?"
"Kookie, are you saying you don't love me anymore?"
"You grew closer to someone else, is it... Jimin?"
"It's Jimin, isn't it?"
A lone tear managed to fall from Taehyung's eye as all the memories rushed back to him all at once. ' you are pitiful, Taehyung! It has been 8 months since the breakup, and you are still crying over it,' He scolded himself, 'get over it! He has moved on, and so should you!'
Somehow in his mind, the memories have now started to grow fainter with each passing day. 'It's easier to think about it now,' the thought crosses his mind. But he can still recall every detail of that day which changed everything for him. Yet, he does know this, after all the pain and heartbreak that followed that day, he would still make the same choices. Still chose to feel the naive innocence of liking someone, The joy of his feelings being reciprocated and now the aftermath of his heartbreaking.
Flashback 8 months ago
Jimin was sobbing so hard against his chest. "I am sorry, Taehyung. I don't know why or when it happened. I was just trying to make sure he wasn't shutting himself out because you were busy shooting the drama," he hiccupped "you know how Jungkook gets! I was getting him involved so he doesn't push everyone away. Then I don't know what happened. I started to have feelings for him."
"It's okay, Jimin," Taehyung said quietly.
"Tae, I-I love you, you are my best friend, and I d-don't want to lose you" jimin pulled back to look at Taehyung's face. "I don't care if that makes me a selfish person, but I hope you will still be my best friend. M- my soulmate."
Taehyung wasn't sure what Jimin saw reflecting on his face, but his voice had suddenly started to tremble. "You won't lose me, Jimin."
Taehyung gently took a step back and went to his room before Jimin could say anything further.
