A Da Bee

Summary:

“I-it was a bee..” The young blonde’s lip quivered as he adjusted his left hand to cover a spot on his right.

“Aw mate, c’mere and let me have a look?” Phil suggests, Tommy nodding before gingerly extending his arm out and lifting his hand off of the spot a little below the inside of his wrist. It was indeed a bee sting, the mark already starting to swell.

“That does look like a pretty nasty sting, how about we go get it patched up?” The young raccoon hybrid making an agreeing sound, sniffling once as Phil scooped him up into his arms. He carried Tommy to a cabinet, shifting his son to one arm so he could reach down and open the door.

Work Text:

Phil immediately noticed something was wrong when Tommy, Ranboo, and Tubbo walked inside, the other two kids were crowded around the raccoon hybrid who looked to have tears in his eyes.

He moved over two the three, kneeling down in front of them. “Everything alright?” He asked, Ranboo and Tubbo both looking away almost guiltily. Tommy answering him after a few minutes.

Phil grabbed the first-aid kit, the palace did have an infirmary but Techno had insisted that they keep one in their common room just in case any minor injuries did happen. He set Tommy down on the sofa, getting a small pout from the blonde as he was let down. Phil flipped open the kit, digging around a bit before finding what he was looking for.

Soon he was sticking a brightly-coloured bandage over the bee sting, Tommy looked a lot calmer now, but his eyes were still red from crying. “There you go, should be all better in a bit Toms.”

“Can I go back out to play with Tubbo and Ranboo now?” The young hybrid looked at him with wide, hopeful eyes. Phil smiled fondly, he couldn’t say no to that face.

“I don’t see why not. Although do be careful around the gardens, We don’t want any more stings.” Tommy nodded quickly, his ears twitching happily.

“Of course! I will be the carefullest! Even more careful than Ranboo!” He hopped off the sofa, running back towards the doors as fast as a seven-year-old could run.

“Put on a jacket!” Phill called after him, Tommy glancing back over his shoulder and calling back a quick; “I will!”

The avian gave a fond shake of his head as he heard the door close, closing up the first-aid kit and moving to put it back in the cabinet.

Wilbur jolted against the stump of the tree he was leaning against when he heard a door slam, his left hand awkwardly moving over the strings on the guitar he was holding, making an odd sound as it brushed them. The brunette turned to look at the doorway, seeing an over excited raccoon child barreling towards him.

“Wilby I’m back! Where’s Tubbo?” The blonde glanced around wildly, searching for his friend.

“Right here!” Tubbo’s voice came from behind the tree, as he jumped out from behind it, there was a shriek from Tommy, and then Tubbo’s cackling. “I got you so good-!”

“Did not! I’m a big man, I don’t get scared by anything!”

“Tell him Wilbur! Tell him that he was scared!”

Wilbur rolled his eyes fondly. “Tubbo is pretty scary. And you did shriek.” Tommy’s expression shifted into the most outraged and offended fact a seven year old could possibly make.

“He isn’t! He didn’t scare me!” The young blonde pouted at both Tommy and Wilbur, his tail lashing behind him. Wilbur heard soft footsteps, then another figure came out from behind the tree, in much less of a jumpscare fashion then Tubbo had. It was Ranboo, about a head taller than Tubbo, his tail swishing idly behind him.

“Tubbo, did you get him? I heard a scream.”

“I did! I got him really good!” Tubbo answered, his cackling now simmered down to light giggles.

“Did not!” Tommy continued to deny the fact that Tubbo had scared him, and the two continued to argue back and forth.

So, a pretty normal day.
